I've not seen Atkinson in much but he was hilarious in Rat Race. According to Dark Horizons, the movie comes out just in time (the day before) for my birthday (March 14th). I'm looking foward to it.

Puh-leeeeze.
I think I broke her heart.
Ouch.
Do I need to go on?
If they can write good comedy, DAD's humor isn't a good example.

I am great fan of Rowan and I admire his comedy. I especially liked his role in "Rat Race" and his Blackadder series.
I know I will be laughing my head off!^_^

I have been fooled by the trailer before. I thought that "The 13th Warrior" looked really cool when I saw the trailer. The movie was even directed by JOHN McTIERNAN..
Then I saw the movie and it totally sucked.

"See you back at the lodge" in the world is not enough
"I'm only here for the birds" in Die another Day
"saved by the bell" in Die Another Day
and there was many other good one liners in the movies I just don't think there was as many.

I have to agree with him, the movie looks pathetic and completely unfunny.

Xenobia interesting point . In interviews both Purvis and Wade claim that both are in fact James Bond fans .Originally posted by Xenobia
I think the question is...are Purvis and Wade James Bond fans, or just two writers paid very well to get a job done.
I suspect the latter.

This may sound stupid . But i never understood how Purvis and Wade became the Bond Screenwriters of choice . Especially after Michael France and Bruce Feirstein .Originally posted by Xenobia
Claiming is one thing Kevin...I'd like to see them do battle with some members of CBN when it comes to Bond trivia. Xenobia

If it's stupid then that makes both of us, because I keep asking the same question. For a writing team who have been together as long as they have their pre-Bond credits are pretty sparse and uninspiring. We all appreciate screenwriting is a tough gig, but these guys have been associated with turkeys like 'The Puppet Masters' and 'American Werewolf in Paris' for goodness sake!
So having hired them, why do EON insist on inviting them back? Are we honestly to believe the producers of the worlds most famous movie franchise don't have a deeper pool of writing talent to draw from?

Sure, some of the Die Another Day dialogue was abysmal, but an equal share of it was great. And the stories for the last two Bond films have been a couple of my favourites.
By-the-by... saw Johnny English yesterday and loved it.

Aside from the humour, some of the action scenes were genuinely exciting too. To wit, the car chase with the AM on the transporter. Lovely scene shooting the camera...

But would a brain full of Bond trivia make anyone write a better script?
PS> Saw Johnny English and thought it was disappointing.

I Thought it was great and i now think he SHOULD be a possible contender to do the theme song for BOND 21.

Besides, if you are a fan, you are not going to settle for a script that is mostly good but has a few abysmal moments. You will do everything you can to make sure that script is perfect, so you will know that you and your posse of Bond fans will love the movie for years to come.

I think it's great. As a Bond fan, Williams'd be good choice for Bond 21.
