I guess if one is to rate each movie, all six should be seen in order first.
Yeah, then Lucas can spin-doctor something about them getting better the further into the story you get

I'm reading the 'making of' book right now for 'sith' and the amount of crap is hilarious. The amazingly high pedistol others put him on and the bs backwards way he does things making life hard, yet still getting results because people pander to him simply because he is who he is. Too pathetic to be funny in the end.
It's got some good pictures though

My main problem with the prequels is just not enough scenes/battles in Space.
Until Ep III they focused on too much of the politcal stuff especially in Episode I which we could have done without.
Good point. It was nice to see he deleted at least one political scene in Episode II.

Here's how I rank all six SW films:
1. Ep. 5 (TESB)Utter perfection.
2. Ep. 4 (ANH)A movie you can never tire of. Needs no explanation.
3. Ep. 3 (ROTS) That's right -- I find it better than one film of the original trilogy.
4. Ep. 6 (ROTJ)Liked the scenes with Vader, Luke and the Emperor but didn't like the Ewoks. Also, the Jabba the Hutt scenes went on far too long.
5. Ep. 1 (TPM)Pod-racing scene is amazing. I think this movie's been savaged unjustly, as it comes the closest of the prequels to the fun, devil-may-care spirit of ANH.
6. Ep. 2 (AOTC) The absolute nadir of the series. Hayden Christensen is wooden and whiny (all the more reason why I enjoy his improvement in Ep. 3). However, it still has lots of good points; loved the battle between Obi-Wan and Jango (?) Fett and, of course, the lightsabre duel between Yoda and Count Dooku (sp?).

I kind of went away with the feeling of having watched an hour long TV show, rather than a feature film. The highlight was definitely Palpatine. His scenes with Anakin were very good, and Christensen didn't do badly at all. Ewan McGregor should have been digitally edited out. Awful. Looked like a homeless druggy picked up from the streets of London, and his acting was awful.
The scenes with Portman and Christensen were awful. And I love Portman.
The best bit of action: Anakin's / Darth Vader's legs being chopped of and the slow frying by the lava river.

According to theforce.net (my fav Star Wars site), on Nov 1 you'll have a choice of:
*Revenge of the Sith DVD single
*Prequel set (3 movies)
*The complete saga (6 movies)
Nice.
What do you want to bet we will all be watching SITH on on DVD players and still not know who will be Bond #6?

I thought the Sith was great for the most part, especially the fight scene between Anakin and Obi-Wan. The dialogue could've been better, clearer. Wish they would've developed the Padme / Anakin relationship better, but that's just me. Nice topless scene though.

Me too. I already have the episodes 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. So I will be getting just the single edition.
Same here, although I reckon it'll be a two-disc set. Can't wait to see SITH on DVD on my widescreen TV.
Hopefully BATMAN BEGINS (which is reportedly superb) will also be out on DVD before this year is out.

I saw the famous ep. III in the cinema on the big screen, which is were all the great scifi movies should be seen.
Too bad I didn't see it on dvd. It would have given me the chance to take out the dvd after say 45 minutes and use it as a coaster for my soda and watch great scifi like Blade runner or episode IV to VI.
Rarely have I been so dissapointed, even if I braced myself for the hype. Now it is a fact GL has succombed to the dark side of directing. He basicly can't do it (anymore).![]()

In the rating of thumbs down I give it 5 out of 4.
I thought it was infinitely better than the other two prequels. The pacing made for an economical, tight film and with so much to tie together I think it was very well done.It was supposed to be a corny space soap opera ya know.

Too funny...
Princess Leia Salutes George Lucas
Guess it serves George right, he wanted a feisty Princess Leia.

Eureka! The real reason George won't make Episodes 7, 8, and 9.
