STAGE ONE RESULTS

Team A - 7500points
Dolce007
Tanger

Team B - 5000points
The_Mole
trs007

Team C - 5000points
Qwerty
SnakeEyes

Congratulations to Team A, who so far have the upper hand.

The CBn Mole II auction begins soon.

I never saw a reply from Qwerty, I thought both members had to post in the forum to get the points--why does that team get 5000?

Probably because they would have to claim the number 2 anyway.

Interesting. With BrixBond on 'assignment' and 5000 points in the kitty, I'm assuming that we have to purchase things from an auction?

If so, I have a feeling that something's going to go tits-up...

Perhaps, but if the timing wasn't right, there is a chance they could have missed out; and then perhaps eliminated out. :) :)

Good point TRS.

Well, either way, we have points. I doubt this is the time to argue over the rules of the game. I'm sure Matt knows what he's doing.

The CBn Mole II Auction

Welcome to the CBn Mole II Auction. With the points you now have you will be able to buy some items, outlined below. The current point tallies are :

Team A - 7500points
Dolce007
Tanger

Team B - 5000points
The_Mole
trs007

Team C - 5000points
Qwerty
SnakeEyes

Lots will be opened by me, with Lot#006 lasting for 24 hours, and Lot#007 lasting for 48. A starting price will be set and teams may then continue to bid until the close of the auction. To register a bid two team members must both post the same number in this thread in order to display agreement*. The team with the highest bid at the close of bidding will receive the item for their bid price.

At the close of both lots all remaining points will go toward the team tally. The good news is you are guaranteed at least 5,000 points. Consider it a gift for making it this far.

Lot#006 : Ban on Brix Bond from joining your team.
Description : At the conclusion of this first lot seventh player Brix Bond will join a team of his choosing. If he is on your team and you win Lot#007, then the two exemptions will be shared between the three of you (process will be announced if this becomes necessary) and one of you will miss out. By winning this lot, Brix Bond will not be allowed to join your team.

Lot#007 : Two exemptions from this weeks Mole Quiz.
Description : The winning team will receive two exemptions, guaranteeing the recipients entrance to the penultimate round of the competition. The_Mole and dolce007 must fill in this weeks Mole Quiz, however, so if they win they will only receive an extra point on their quiz.

Lot#006 is now open for bidding. Starting price is 500points. Bid increment of 500 points per bid.

mb

*If the members trust eachother, they can each notify me privately to allow the other to make a complete bid on their behalf - this is recommended as it will allow the bidding to go much quicker.

trs007 and The_Mole have both notified me that they trust the other to bid and thus a bid from either of them will now count immediately.

Their bid of 1000 points is the current bid.

I didn't read the challenge properly and wanted to ensure everyone knew I had to make a retraction.

It's tough trying to game and also be working.
