Q-zar-I dunno, try it and see if Matt agrees. What does everyone else think, since I don't wish to bear the brunt of a bad decision.

I appreciate the compliments, Snake Eyes, but thanks to cable modem, being "on" doesn't always mean "being here"; otherwise, I am confident I would have made a catch for the good of the team today.

Also, not to bemoan the point, but if Fraternal had chosen to share your identity with the team earlier, we might have gotten you on the 3/16 post word day.

Ever ponder why he didn't?

Well Trs, better luck tomorrow, seriously; whilst i'm having fun with this little quest, there is the issue of points to consider...

I feel guilty playing for an exemption I don't really need.

Oh, and since you're all 'having fun' trying to fathom out what posts to catch me on, i'll let you into a little secret pattern: The first post in the 'day' that I make containing the word has been and will be the one to catch me on.

And i've helped you catch me enough.

A) Of course-- he could be the mole.

:) Don't, given a "free shot", I'm sure we'd all grab at one, I know I did.

Tell me trs, slightly off topic, but what are you in this game for.

You have your custom avatar and the victory of game 1.

Here to retain the title of mole master, or perhaps something more sinister?

20,000 points 'is a helluva chunk of dough' for this challenge.
Then again, I suppose it's so impossibly stacked against you, that the risk has to be worth the reward.
Really, the XXX character gets nothing but a free pass into round 2 which could lead to nowhere at all.
The team on the other hand could have had 20,000 points: 2/5 of the way towards the grand total we 'all' strive for.

You can still make 12,000

Since when ?
I reread the rules, nowhere is it said that only the first post counts.
In that opinion, any of your posts concerning the word is valid!

Play dirty and I will be a pain too :)

True, but I don't have the victory of game 2, yet. It's all about the competition and winning; also I love competitive games, which is why I love this and rarely bother with the numerous quote games.

More sinister? Well, you can decide for yourself, but after my style of play in Mole I, I think even my worst "fans" would have to say I have been more team-oriented and helpful. I was totally ruthless in Mole I, to the point that many, in a final poll, thought I was the Mole. Everyone is free to believe and vote how they feel, but Matt and I did discuss me being the mole and we both agreed that my mere presence would have people thinking I was the mole, which does help the Mole.

But, we still have many challenges ahead of us. In the meantime, enjoy your free-pass into the next round; and I, as will others, will attempt to "catch" you and hopefully take away your free ride.

Aside from my personal avatar, a new signature banner I might ask Athena for could read: Undefeated 2-time Mole champion. (or not, depending how the remaining weeks go).

I think what SnakeEyes is saying is that only the first post of the day will have THE WORD. All his other posts will not contain THE WORD.

SE, have I interpreted correctly?

Playing dirty only goes so far: you would still have to assume the correct forum and thread (for instance, in 'name that film' I posted the word many times, maybe you should have caught me then?)

Trs, i've helped you all enough. There is a game afoot remember :)

Told you it was him, even before the challenge "started" I knew it was him. And I told you we had no chance in winning. There is way to many ways for SnakeEyes to post, we only have 1 one way of catching the odds are heavily in his favour.

Seeing the post above, I can say "CAUGHT" and catch him !
Never is it said that in case of several posts, the oldest one counts.
It's also not said that the posts have to made in the sections in the order listed, it just says "one here, one there, ...".
So :
1) he posts the B-word in one of the concerned sections
2) I'm the first to react

Valid catch ?

Q-Zar.

You may have something here, you'll have your results at the end of the day.

OK.

Since this is a team game, i'm gonna go for a radical approach.

If Matt decides i'm caught now, then I will post deliberatly and obviously in order to raise points for the team.

If i'm in the shade still, then you'll have to do better tomorrow on your own backs.

All down to matt...and the hope that you all 'catch' me before someone replys (if it should be former option).

SECRET PLAYER : CAUGHT

After looking over the rules for this challenge I have deemed that Q-Zar's aforementioned "CAUGHT" post will be allowed. It comes under everything set out in the rules and if SnakeEyes is going to taunt the team with a variety of posts then he will have to accept that this means any of them can be used to catch him. SnakeEyes has since edited the word "BOND" out of the pertinent post, but it was there when Q-Zar posted "CAUGHT" and this is all that matters. The team is now one step closer to the minimum 10,000 points.

1/7 : 0 points (exemption to secret player) - REACHED
2/7 : 0 points (exemption to secret player)
3/7 : 0 points (exemption to secret player)
4/7 : 10,000 points
5/7 : 12,000 points
6/7 : 15,000 points
7/7 : 20,000 points - OUT OF REACH

Of course now that you have caught him I can officially confirm the player is SnakeEyes, well done Q-Zar. He now has the following posts left to make, one of them in the next 24 hour period.

You didn't need to confirm what I have known for ages.

The big tip-off was the time that your eceived the confirmation pm, gathering from today's posts, the only person online that that time was SnakeEyes, therefore it was a 99% of being him.

You should be more careful.

Yup, I attribute the complexity of this game to matt's ineptitued at the basic laws of keeping things hidden. Like blanking out the parts that wouldn't have given it completely away...

Still, it's nice we both know something about one and other.

Fraternal we don't offer points for being smarter than the other players, if we did you would still be on zero.

Stop blabbering and start playing, you are getting the team nowhere at the moment.

My attitude sucks because this is once again a stupid challenge, and we will not succeed, it is impossible to.

You know this is a game. But let's not go around insulting the mod of this game. Matt is doing a good job, I mean hey you gotta be creative with this game. Let's just check our "stupid game, insult the mod" attitude at the door, okay? That goes for everyone, not just Frat. agreed? :)

Oh, yes, read them all. You won, luckily, but won nevertheless. That's the taste of loss I'm drinking right now, but tomorrow's another day!

No, I've looked as well TRS. At the moment, I'm having several computer problems, but when I'm on, I look, it just seems to be that you're on a lot of the same times SnakEyes is as well.
