This 2000 version with the longer score is generally more difficult to track down in stores, I had to turn to the internet for it. I got the best deal for mine on half.com, the smaller site of eBay's.I have never seen it in a Barnes and Noble, Borders, FYE, Sam Goody, and various other stores, yet the original edition will usually pop-up.,19 April 2004 - 09:57] The Tomorrow Never Dies expanded score is the only one really left, but it doesn't bother me too much. I consider the first CD to be the soundtrack proper, as it contains the vocal songs.
I have yet to buy anything on Ebay.![]()

That's exactly my take on this subject (except that it would be foolish for me to look for it at Australian eBayOh, if the expanded one pops up on eBay.com.au, I'll be sure to grab it.
I'm just in no hurry, is what I meant.

The problem is: whenever it shows up on German eBay, it usually starts at at least 15 Euros and never sells for under 25 (or even 30). That's too much for a CD that I only want for completists reasons, and there's too much vinyl that I don't have and that I would buy before.
Hell, I can get almost any Bond vinyl for that money, except maybe the German OHMSS LP pressing (okay, I got mine for about 7 or 8, but that was pure luck) and the CR original Stereo pressing (60).

I take it that you mean the DAD teaser, not the one from your initial post. But is my poster valuable?

A few weeks ago I picked up that Sunday Times supplement from '99 and the Variety 40th anniversary special from '02.
I missed out on a set of the entire run of Bondage (save one issue). My high bid was $76.50 and it sold for like $416.00.

There were two sets recently I saw - one that had all eight and one that had seven of them (was missing From Russia With Love) - I won the latter one and got From Russia With Love seperately. Which one were you bidding on?

It's 4 posters joined together, it's double sided (so 8 posters all up) and made of a tough nylon-based fabric to ensure it doesn't damage easily.
It's too big for my wall, so until I win Powerball and can afford a mansion, the poster will remain in it's tube for posterity.
I guess when I die, my family members can then sell it on eBay!

My favorites would have to include a 7-Up DAD pedal car and a Carrera Evolution Goldfinger slot car set.
The majority of collectibles I have pruchased have been on eBay, and overall I've had pretty good luck. I certainly couldn't have found most of what I bought in local stores...

I just scored a signed US edition of COLD FALL. Why is this a big deal? Because according to John Gardner himself, he only ever signed two of these, both to Jim Dodd (his neighbor in the US who also appeared as a character in SeaFire). I bought this from Jim. So if what Gardner says still holds true today, there are only two signed sets of U.S. Gardner books in existence. Jim Dodd's set of course...and mine.

Congrats John, on enhancing the greatest collection of Bond literature I've ever laid eyes and hands on.

Actually, I got it at what I consider to be a very good price. Typically, when big Gardner items sell on eBay I'm competing against Jim and that drives up the price. Obviously, that wasn't the case this time.

I actually saw that one, and considered bidding, but I have a few other things I'm wanting more at the moment, and an extremely pitifully small bit of cash reserves. Enough of my sob story.
You know I was kidding right? And that I'm happy for you? I'm just envious of your empire.

I also recently scored a Houdini book on eBay which I consider a bigger coo than even the signed Cold Fall. I've been looking for the book for a loooong time. Gotta love eBay.

Gotta love eBay.
Sometimes! I have a love/hate thing going with eBay.
Hard-to-find First edition in great condition for $10.00? Love it!
It arrives 4 weeks later and it is instantly obvious the seller used a picture of a different book--one that hadn't spent the past 37 years in a French dairy. Hate it!

The one with all eight. However I recently got a nice set of Fleming books last night. Check out this link
Three classic Perma Books with nice artwork. TOO HOT TO HANDLE with some spine damage, but who cares. This book is hard to find and at the price I paid for all three - you might say I paid only $10.33 per book. The LALD one is hard to find in VG+F condition and I have never seen one look this good. The DAF one is in VG condition too and all three are 1st editions.
I think I did good this time around.

Wow! Quite a bargain, I'd say.
Especially with Too Hot To Handle being included in there.
Just got the books in the mail last night. All three covers are in excellent condition. Except for the minor tear off the bottom part of the Too Hot To Handle spine, the books are pristine for their age. LALD and DAF look like they have never been read. The pages have yellowed but that is expected from PermaBooks. They were not supposed to last forever. The paper is similar to comic book paper from that era so I guess that's par for the course.

I got lucky a few days ago with the Perma for Live And Let Die. Now to get those Casino Royale and Moonraker copies...
