I know it is bad if a woman betrays you, but if she wears little boob-tubes like that, you forgive her, don't you?

Of course you do - and if you're Bond, you can kill her afterwards for revenge.

But back to the topic, the single most horrifying moment in the series must be Blofeld in drag in DAF. To see a character go from an eerie and sinister villain in the shadows in FRWL and TB to that was truly disgraceful. As was the film itself, but that's a whole other story. Jaws' romance in MR is pretty bad too, as is how he suddenly went from unstoppable henchman to sappy idiot.

There are some others too - the ending of FYEO was too much and too topical; it may have been funny back in 1981, but now it's embarrassing. And then Moore literally became a clown in Octopussy, but at least that contributed to the plot, unlike most of the other weaker moments in the series.

Normally I don't have much problem with Blofeld in drag in DAF because I don't think about the FRWL/TB Blofeld while watching the film. DAF is a departure from the previous films. A comedy, or at least I treat it that way.

I agree the clown suit in OP was necessary too. Now if Rog had started honking his nose and rode in on a unicycle juggling bowling pins then that would have been my #1 weakest moment.

It is a shame about Octopussy, because it is a fun adventure film, but there are some awful moments -the clown outfit, hiding in the gorilla suit (how 80's cheesy comedy film was that? It was like Trading Places!!), the Tarzan yell, saying "Sit" to the Tiger, and the awful tennis jokes with Ajay!!!

Other weak moments in the series - I hate California Girls playing during the great ski chase in AVTAK - it really needs some good music there.

and...karate schoolgirls saving Bond in TMWTGG....just awful.

Well, the entire martial arts school scene in TMWTGG is horrible and makes absolutely no sense. Did they not kill Bond just so they could show off their moves and hope to humiliate him? Was he supposed to help train the students? And Bond doesn't even honorably win, he just runs away like a coward in an entirely unsatisfactory way. Then of course there's the part where the girls save him, which is really stupid. Finally, there's the worst part: Lieutenant Hip and the girls just leave Bond standing there and speed away! That is ridiculous and the lamest excuse ever for getting Bond to escape on his own.

The climax of DAF is also pretty bad. Tiffany suddenly becomes like Mary Goodnight and Stacey Sutton (i.e., an idiot) and stupidly falls off the oil rig. And Blofeld isn't killed or even shown escaping. Instead, he's literally left hanging, ruining the movie of any satisfying showdown.

The pre-titles of Live and Let Die is weak because not only does it lack any exciting action, but it fails to show the new Bond, Roger Moore. In all the other first-time Bond movies, there's a clever, suspenseful buildup to when we first see the actor's face, but there's no such thing in the PTS or even after the titles, where Bond is perfunctorily introduced.

Some other random ones: Bond in the rocking chair in AVTAK, Bond on the "flying carpet" in TLD (which was thankfully deleted), Carver mocking Wai Lin's kung-fu in TND (although it's kind of funny), and the stupid scenes of Bond and the girl at the end of TWINE and DAD.

Yeah, I always hated the end of DAF as a kid. My brother and I would look at each other and say, "So did the bad guy die or not???"

Of course, Blofeld was due to return in The Spy who loved Me, but by that time, McClory wouldn't let them have the rights to the character and so they invented Stromberg and eventually ditched Blofeld metaphorically and symbolically at the beginning of FYEO.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but in AVTAK when Bond doesn't join Sutton in bed and decides to sleep in a chair with a gun...just not Bond to me.

Yeah, the pre-titles scene in FYEO where Bond finally kills Blofeld is kind of random and inconsistent since Blofeld looks like he did at the end of OHMSS rather than DAF (although I kind of prefer it that way, since it assumes that DAF never happened). Still, I like the scene since at least Blofeld is finally killed off and done with.

Bond's horrible banana yellow ski suit at the beginning of TSWLM is cringe-inducing today. It looks right out of Austin Powers. Fortunately, the ski scene and jump itself are exciting enough to offset the suit and the funky, out-of-place disco-style music.

Haha, I know what you mean about that ski suit. Thats one of those things that I give a pass on because it is James Bond....and TSWLM (arguably the best film)

Roger Moore wore that ski suit again in an advert for the British supermarket chain, Asda, at Christmas 2002, I think it was.

It was very funny, as he skied down a mountain and then shot a toy gun at a cuckoo clock!!!

out-of-place disco-style music.

However different that 'Bond 77' cue may be, it is catchy. I've always been a fan of it.

I agree that it does have a certain charm, but it mainly makes me wish that John Barry would've done the score. His music was a great asset to Moonraker (and possibly the only asset), and it didn't rely on the modern, "hip" styles.

The whole bathing scene in YOLT, i'm not sure if Sean is wearing a bathing suit or not! It's also kind of funny to hear the whole "In Japan, men come first and women come second" line because I always think of the Austin Powers spoof of that scene.

Weakest moments:
#1 - the gay henchment in DAF (didn't care for that)
#2 - the slide whistle during the AWESOME barrel roll jump in The Man with the Golden Gun.
#3 - the Beach Boys singing while Roger skiid (WHATEVER!)
#4 - the clown suit in OP (Bond in a clown suit?)
#5 - all of NSNA (I don't just dislike this as a Bond movie, I don't like it period!
#6 - Mayday in AVTAK, the Bond girl in AVTAK

The scene in Moonraker where Dolly and Jaws meet.

Actually, there are many elements of MR that I don't like. Well, I mean, I like the way they start but not the comedy element attached to them.

The boat chase in the Amazon could have been better, and I don't like the way they cut to another Jaws comedy face before he goes over the waterfall. Same with the fantastic freefalling stunt at the end, ruined by Jaws flapping his arms and the circus music!
