I can't really remember exactly when a lot of these shows were. The six years since I graduated high school have all run together, so unless I have a specific frame of referrence, I have no idea whether something was a year ago or two.

I saw Charlie Daniels at a county fair once. That was 13-14 years ago. Every year the local country station has a free concert, so I've seen several country stars.

2000 - My first rock concert. REO Speedwagon.

2003 - REO Speedwagon and Styx were on tour together, and I caught them.

2003 - Aerosmith and KISS, with opening act Saliva, and special guest Ted Nugent. This was at Detroit's Comerica Park, and was delayed by The Blackout.

2004 - Van Halen, with Silvertide opening. Never thought I'd get to see them.

2004 - Wheelzstock 2004 (put on by the local classic rock station), featuring Alice Cooper, with opening act Dirty Americans.

2004 - REO Speedwagon again.

2005 - Wheelzstock 2005: Larry McCray, with ZZ Top headlining.

2005 - Ted Nugent again, with Dirty Americans opening.

2005 - Ryan Cabrera. This was a mini-concert at the mall I work at, and I had to help with crowd control, otherwise I would've missed it. Of course, then I would've missed the hundreds of girls chanting my name. (Sure, they were chanting for him, and most of them were probably about 14-15, but every silver lining has it's cloud.)

2006 - Buckcherry. I didn't even know they were back together (albeit with several new members), so I had to see this.

2006 - Wheelzstock 2006: Edgar Winter, April Wine, Eddie Money.

2006 - Hedley. Never heard of them, but they did a mini-concert at the mall a little over an hour ago. I didn't have to work this one, but I went to see it.

Bob Seger tickets go on sale Saturday morning, and I'll try to get one. I've never seen Bob Seger.

Not sure of the order on some of these, and I'm sure I'll miss a few, but here we go!

Peter, Paul, and Mary (with my parents, and that was enough!)

Kiss Alive II tour - what a first real concert experience!

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers - Damm the Torpedos

Billy Idol - Rebel Yell vintage

Donnie Iris - several times

Bruce Springsteen

ZZ Top - Eliminator

The Iron City Houserockers

The Granatti Brothers

Van Halen

Judas Priest

B.E Taylor

Quite Riot

Molly Hatchet

Ronnie James Dio

ZZ Top - whatever tour followed Eliminator

Motley Crue

Jimmy Buffett - License to Chill, Columbia SC
Jimmy Buffett - License to Chill, Columbus, OH
Jimmy Buffett - Salty Piece of Land, Columbia, SC

Spent more on the the last 3 Jimmy concerts than maybe all the rest combined!

I love my music, and like to go to as many concerts as possible. Here's a selection of some bands I've seen this year:

- Belle and Sebastian
- Sigur Ros
- Nickelback
- Bon Jovi
- Guns N' Roses

Ooooo, how was Belle and Sebastian, Vauxhall? I love "The Life Pursuit" but I still need to get into their earlier stuff evidentally..

Ah I loved it :) It was quite a nice small venue, so was an intimate feeling to the concert. They interacted loads with the crowd as well. The night I went they did a cover of The Strokes as well. They varied the set as well - it wasn't just one of those concerts to showcase a new album.

Not many people have heard of Belle and Sebastian - impressed that you have!! Some of their older stuff is the best, although I'd say that "The Life Pursuit" is their best album for a while. Try and check out the album "If You're Feeling Sinister" - some beautiful songs, and should be considered a classic in my opinion.

My short list as well:

Performances in Malaysia.
-Ronan Keating about 3 years back; and
-Sheena Easton in 2005 and she sang the lovely "For Your Eyes Only" :P But I went for a completely wrong reason. I saw her concert not as a Bond fan but a Miami Vice fan. Hey, she was Mrs. Sonny Crokett :P :)

Sad to miss Sting's and the new INXS though..

Peter Gabriel
Michael Jackson
Tina Turner

Paul Simon
Elton John
The Feeling
OK Go
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Beastie Boys
Shawn Colvin
Sting

I used to live near a landmark venue for gigs in London and during our summer holidays, my friends and I would use a Mission-Impossible-like procedure to get access to see free gigs!

A friend of mine is an A&R scout for a major record label so I see about a gig a week of unsigned or signed indy acts. Another friend works for a large music awards show so I have attended that. Another pal is Paul McCartney in a Beatles tribute band AND Brian Jones in a Rolling Stones tribute band so I've been to a bunch of their gigs. I go too see live jazz at various places in London (esp. Camden Parkway).

I have seen numerous performances by most of the London and some regional orchestras. I have been to a number of operas (including Glyndebourne) but absolutely hate it (an ex-gf loved it though!). Try seeing La Traviata in Dutch!

My concert attendance list is pretty sad...either was too young, or too broke, or too busy, or too far away.

Jimmy Buffett
James Taylor
Steppenwolf
Merle Haggard
Ralph Stanley
Sir James Galway (World's top flutist...yes, flutist)
Placido Domingo (One of the 3 tenors...my fave)
New York Voices (Fantastic vocal jazz group)
A big handful of top bluegrass artists, choirs, and symphonies.

Eclectic little mix, no?

Besides local concerts, I haven't actually been to that many. So far I've been to:

- Toronto SARS Benefit (2003)
- Shania Twain (2003)
- Guns N' Roses (2006)
- The Killers (2007)
- Rush (2007)

I know Shania Twain must seem like a random concert to have thrown into the mix, but since the rest of my family was going, I figured I might as well go too.

Anyways, I am seeing Rush again this summer. They are probably my overall favorite band, and in my opinion, the greatest live band. I'm hoping that by the fall Kiss brings their current tour over to this side of the world so I can see them in concert. I'm also eagarly awaiting an AC/DC tour.
