In vague chronological order:

Hugh Cornwell (of The Stranglers)
Pet Shop Boys
Level 42
Suede
Erasure (twice)
China Crisis
Simple Minds
Shed 7
John Foxx
The Human League
Marillion
The Mission (they wern't great, and the support acts were awful)
Midge Ure
Steve Hackett
Elvis Costello
The Proclaimers
Alexande O'Neal
Bryan Ferry
Prince
Example (not really my sort of thing, went with friends, pretty good though)
Hot Chip

I also saw an Indie band last year I can't remember the name of, and I missed most of the gig anyway. I've seen a couple of comedy gigs as well, Graham Fellows (John Shuttleworth) and Phil Cool were the best ones. Bought tickets to see The Alarm in 2004, but couldn't get to the gig because of snow

Agreed. These guys have been at it for 30 years, and yet they don't show any signs of stopping. There's something to be said about any group of musicians that can do that.

A couple of weeks ago I saw Elvis Costello & The Imposters at a secret midnight show here in Hollywood. It was free and I was literally 15 feet from him. Amazing.

I missed Joe Cocker last night. There was a bad traffic back-up, so we took a detour that ended up taking us well out of the way, and we finally got to the venue as he was saying good night.

Fortunately, the main attraction was Steve Miller, who kicked all kinds of . He played all his hits, two idiots got in a fight, I experienced the high and low of seeing a girl lift her shirt only to have another underneath (what's the point, then????), and I got a cute girl's number. Great show.

I just found out this morning that there will be a concert at my mall this evening. I won't say who, because I want you to be surprised like I was, but rest assured, this is a group who was once famous and is trying to make a comeback. I'll be attending out of curiosity, even though it may cost me my Guy Card. I may have to do something excessively manly when I get home, like chug a beer and shoot something.

Although I never actually wanted to say it, I can now say I've seen Menudo. I didn't stay for the whole show; I stayed long enough to satisfy my curiosity (it was satisfied very quickly, I might add), and to hang out with my pretty friend who is serving as my excuse (I was only there so she didn't have to go alone. Yeah, that's it.). Not my style at all.

Today, just came from a concert at the Pacific Amphitheater (in Orange County, California) to see TRAIN and THE WALLFLOWERS... on the same day, same place

They were AWSOME! Though, I liked Train's songs better than The Walflowers'

Went to see Neil Youn last week. Great show. Strangely enough, the concert was part of the big wine fair in Colmar/Alsace and there was was wine tasting and splendid food all over (not inside the venue, but outside before and after the show).

Funny, almost each time I see him, he's with a different backing Band: saw him with the usual Crazy Horse (twice), solo, with Pearl Jam (without Eddie Vedder) and with Booker T. & The MG's. This time, he had the "Electric Band" (whatever that means).

It's been ages since I last replied in this thread so I decided I would update my list.

- Toronto SARS Benefit (2003)
- Shania Twain (2003)
- Guns N' Roses (2006)
- The Killers (2007)
- Rush (2007 & 2008)
- Ace Frehley (2008)
- Grand Funk Railroad (2008)
- AC/DC (2008 & 2009)
- The Who (2008)

I believe that is my complete list to date. If I think of any that I missed I'll add them, but I think that is all. I'm seeing The Killers again later this month but other than that I've got no current concert plans. Both Queen + Paul Rodgers and Kiss are supposed to be touring North America this year, so I'll hopefully catch them both.

I saw Madonna last November. She had dancing boxers for Die Another Day while she was backstage during a costume change. Not even any Bond references.

However, Paul McCartney in 2002 did Live and Let Die replete with videos of all the Bonds, not just that Roger Moore title.

I was wondering if he had copyright permission while Madonna did not.

In no particular order

Friend's band whose name has changed so much I have no idea what they were called at the time (don't even remember when this was, but I do remember having to go to the Troc)
Sonata Arctica (one last November and one two years ago)
Disturbed (last summer)
Philadelphia Orchestra performing a good deal of Chopin (my favorite classical composer; cannot even remember when this was, I was in like seventh grade at the lastest)

Not really a big fan of concerts.

I will be at the last two GS shows and ideally the two MSG shows they just announced;
I'm scouring the schedule to see if I can make any other shows, tho West coast shows are expected to be announced shortly....
I expect this to be the last we'll see of the band for at least 2 years (I expect some solo stuff next year) so you gotta make the most of it!
