Hi Dr. Tyan,

I know you could never be that way because your a good man.

Well, with film the make-up if different, you are using 'film' as opposed to 'video'. The style of filming is different and there's a whole array of 'style's' or 'angle's' that your usually wouldn't use in video. Although in some of our modern series thay do use film techniques but it's still video. Most of the series in the 60's and 70' used film for a series.

Style of acting in television is usually ( in the UK ) more intense and with more close-up's ( ok, some film director's use this in film's ) and generally the acting is more theatrical than film. And usually 'stage actor's' prefer this way of acting because they can use their facial expression's more.

With film, the acting is more subtle and is confined to a smaller 'acting space'. You do not usually find film actor's moving left-to-right too much because it's not the right technique. Also, the actor's usually tone down their acting because the camera can pick up the slightest movement and also the wrong 'message'.

I could go on for hours with this but I will start to bore you.

Cheers Dr. Tyan,

Ian

Hi Brix,

Not at all. All I could see was Blue Eyes had trouble tonight with some Member's.

I was not trying to 'side' with anyone. I don't see why Daniel has to seperate some Member's apart because of these argument's.

Surely you'd agree that we're lucky to have a site such as this?.

Cheers,

Ian

Why is it that some of you Guy's are so serious about James Bond or over complacent in what you believe in?.

Come on, isn't this the best and well organized site on Bond and
( latterly ) any other topic?. Of course it is. So why reduce yourselve's to anger.  Bond doesn't ( or shouldn't ) get angry, but obviously some of you are.  Why may I ask?. Is this great Organization purely here for a bunch of idiot's to exchange bad feeling's?. Of course it's not and being a Guy who like's to be friendly and to keep his friend's I do not like what's happing in these forum's.

I suggest that you keep your 'bad feeling's' or your 'ego' out of these forum's and keep a certain 'decorum' and respect for your fellow Bond Fan's.

This is a free site, which also mean's free of hated and egotism and I know that I alway's put myself down and have never condemmed or started an argument with any Member of CBn, but this is because I'm basically a 'stable' ( fetching for this time of year ) person.

Please Guy's keep this site 'user friendly' because if you keep this up we could loose it. And without it, you would feel lost.  For me I have met many decent and kind people here and I want to keep it this way.

Calm down Guy's, remember if you have a grudge with another Member keep it to yourself,  life is too short to hold grudge's.

All the best,

Calm down,

Cheers,

Ian

p.s. just think about what your going to say before you say it.  That's why I've had to say this.  Remember that this IS a very professional site so keep it that way!.

I'm in no way siding with anyone of the Administrator's etc I'm just saying what I feel that needed to be said.

Thank's.

Ian, can I just send a personal thanks for that. The staff have had a tough week with three fights and someone threatening to sue all because of the forums. It's been quite hectic.

Seriously?

Them's fighting words.

Someone - who should remain nameless: Bondian: Insinuated that I should take James Bond less seriously.

I say the only sensible course of action is that we hunt him down and do unpleasant things to his ears.

Every morning I get up and I lay out my Die Another Day commemoratie tea towel and pray in the direction of Pinewood studios (or the Bahamas if I have read in TV Week that Pierce is on holiday).

"Pierce is the bestest ever Bond" I repeat mantra like to myself, knowing that half a world away Xen is turning happily over in her sleep to reach for her Noble House DVD and fantasise about that little gray streak.

Then I add "But Denise Richards 'can' act" to keep everyone happy.

Next comes the homage. "Roger looked soo sexy in those safari suits it is a wonder he didn't explode with sex appeal" and I thank the lord that flares are back in fashion.

Then I move to the altar and unrap the sacred four by two with the word 'Pierce' written on it in felt tip marker and pray to the great Brocoli in the sky in thanks for the hours of enjoyment for Jim's A to Z.

Then I spend my day trying to make sure that fewer people get their legs blown off by landmines or beaten to death.

Want to see - here is a photo of a very nice middle aged lady who was beaten to death - and get this - because her religion wasn't officially sanctioned.

It is all relative isn't it?

All is fair in love and war, but try to remember to play nice with the other kids.

This place isn't a corporation, think of it as a bunch of people sitting around on a Friday night getting pissed at a party, chatting and having a good time - Commanders, Blue Eyes, Lego Men, Doctors (evil or otherwise), - even Ice Bergs - and every one has something really amazing to contribute. You never know if they are a 15 year old from Texas or a politician from Oslo - just James (poncy guy, wears a tux a lot, preferes shaken beverages) and a bit of communication.

But remember - you cannot sue a party - mostly for the reason that everyone was probably too drunk to remember anything anyway, but what do I know I am a con law lawyer.

And try to be nice to the poor 'designated drivers' who have to try to make sure we all don't end up in a Romanesque orgy.

It is all relative.

Mmmm sorry I forgot to add a joke.

Not strictly within the rules, but... Why did M cross the road?

No, not a sale on suit pants at Harrods, but a special on Balderdash Burbon next door at the bottle shop.

Hi Daniel,

You can do without all that hassle.

As I've said we should consider ourselves lucky that we have such a great site to 'discuss' not 'argue' what we like and do not like.

Al the best Daniel,

My admiration to all the Admin etc,

Cheers,

Ian

Please don't take any offence Mr B - I don't really want to hunt you down and do 'unpleasnt' things to your ears.

I thought you made an excellent point about how 'seriously' some people can take it all, and now if you will excuse me it is time for me to pray to Pinewood.

But if you spell argument with an extra E - THEMS FIGHTING WORDS!

- To avoid a law suit because I am for 'some' censorship

- Because there were two kinky bi submissives waiting on the other side

- To recieve confession from a good priest

- To avoid getting into an argument on non James Bond topics like 'real' guns, religion, politics and art.

Why did Quentin Tarantino cross the road?

Because unlike most other directors, he's not middle of it.

Why did KILL BILL cross the road?

It didn't. Only Volume I crossed the road, while Volume II decided to stay put.

Why did Pierce Brosnan cross the road?

He saw Connery do it in an old Bond film and wanted to imitate him.

I met him, fifteen years ago. I was told there was nothing left. No reason, no conscience, no understanding; even the most rudimentary sense of life or death, good or evil, right or wrong. I met this six-year-old child, with this blind, pale, emotionless face and, the blackest eyes... the Devil
