Orders a G&T. On the rocks. Of course. Well...
Looks at the others.
009: Taking it easy tonight. No blended Scotch.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 09:45 PM
004 gives it a sniff and looks at 002.
Johhny Walker Black? I am surprised at you, Xen. The only blended I dare drink while on the job.
*Looks at bartender* Coffee - black.
Downs the scotch and places the glass on the bar as the coffee arrives.
004 takes up his coffee: Thank you, Xen.
He goes over to 009. The orchestra is beginning to play a Tango.
004, to 009: Dance?
Posted 29 October 2003 - 09:47 PM
008: I'll have one of those.
The waiter hands him a glass and he makes his way to the bar with the others.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 09:48 PM
009: Never a good sign. But if you insist...
She smiles and takes his hand, letting him lead her onto the floor.

Matts expression is one of passionate seriousness. Joyce is suprised and a mover or two of Matts make her gasp.
Inspired, others guests join in.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 09:57 PM
002: No hard stuff for you tonight?
008: Not yet. Think we can top them?
002 smiles thinly, giving 008 a wry glance.
002: Possibly, but it'll never happen.
008 shrugs, taking a sip from his glass.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 09:59 PM
They make a quick corrida after which 004 spins her around.
009: Has the Queen arrived yet?
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:10 PM
002: Hey G, is it me, or are some of those bottles a little old?
002: Yeah, old. Look at the seals on the bottles that have not been broken. The paper looks aged.
(G looks and nods)
008: You're right. Is this something to be worried about?
(002 points in the direction of 004 and 009)
002: Let's ask the experts when they are done dancing.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:13 PM
009: Thank you for this dance. I believe... you've been practicing?
*looks around her*
009: 002 is motioning us over.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:16 PM
That's about as passionate as I can get with us at a "office party."
Not that you would call this that.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:18 PM
002: Not that I wish to alarm anyone, but those bottles are a bit curious. Look at the seals. The paper is aged, some of those bottles are old, and they don't necessarily have to be.
002: This is a royal ball...wouldn't the Queen be serving the best?
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:20 PM
The man enters the bathroom. 008 nods slightly, taking in the man's appearance before turning back to the conversation at hand.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:22 PM
008: Nothing. Just some guy by the bathroom.
(Everyone now looks)
002: Anyone recognize him?
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:24 PM
004 raises an eyebrow.
008: It'll last longer.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:25 PM
He has slick, dark hair and brown eyes. Well dressed. Nice shoes.
She bites her lip.
009: Doesn't ring a bell.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:29 PM
008: Good eye.
The man comes out of the bathroom. As he does, 008 snaps a photo of him with his lapel pin.
008: Anybody have their PDA handy? Left mine on the couch at home.
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:35 PM
The others look at her.
009: It's the Queen's personal trainer.
The others frown.
009: No, I don't know why he's here. Or why she needs him. But... he's clean.
(that, okay, GM?)

You see other guests continue to enter the hall.
Some faces are very familiar, Q-Branch personnel, office, technical support a few other that are not so familiar.
The hall is becoming a bit more active. The Casino is begining to get a bit of activity. A few guests have made their way to the buffet table, the bar, etc.
Xen, sees one gentlemen making a reauest of the orchestra. The conductor nods and he steps away.
As gambling is in full swing, the food and dancing is also being indulged in by all, what would each of you like to do?
Posted 29 October 2003 - 10:58 PM
002: I think I am going to go get some air before things start to get exciting.
*Before Xenobia leaves, she goes to the conductor, presses into his hand a hundred pound note, and pleads*
002: Whatever he just asked you to play, forget it.
*Xenobia then catches sight of the man, who is now heading for the terrace. She makes note of that, and stops here and there to say hi to someone, or to appear to be listening to the music, before she to makes her way to the terrace.*

The number of perople moving about and crossing her line of sight make getting a accurate and complete lane to see him through almost impossible.
However, it is unclear whether or not 002 is looking at the individual with a clear head. Her desire for it to BE a certain individual may be coloring the scene for her.
With so many gentlemen dressed in the classic black tux, he seems to dissapear in the crowd.
Posted 30 October 2003 - 04:50 AM
All is well, and 002 returns to her friends.
Posted 30 October 2003 - 06:21 AM
008: I'm going to head for the casino. Care to join me, 002?

The hall is begining to beome a living entity. More than half of the tables in the casino have some activity.
Food is being added to the buffet at regular intervals.
The bar is keeping itself busy with guests.
The orchestra has obliged to play the Blue Danube. A stately and populat waltz.
009 is overlooking the casino.
004 has walked throught the kitchen and out again, looking around at the festive air in the hall.
What is everyone else involved in at this point?

Bryce: Pulling rank sir?
Admiral: (noticing Bryce - offers hand) Commander Bryce. MI6 still treating you well?
Bryce: (shaking hands) So far.
Admiral: From what I recall, you were always the safest bet. (wry grin)
*the wheel spins*
Posted 30 October 2003 - 05:23 PM
The Admiral smiles and steps back to avoind distracting Bryce for his game. Bad form you know.
The roulette wheel stops and the stell ball bounces into position.
009 is patroling the casino, enjoying an hors d'oeuvres, crossing Bryces seven o'clock.
004 is at another postion to Bryces one o'clock.
"7 - RED"
A small murmur goine up at the table.
