I'd agree with that, so I think it's logical that we can say Scene 18 is the end of the pre-title train chase sequence (perhaps with Bond falling from the bridge).

The scene in the trailer of someone landing in the water is probably Bond after falling from the bridge and the scene of Bond fighting Patrice underwater could possibly be at the floating casino?

Goodness...that Scene 45 one. Seems like forever ago we saw that, the start of clapperboard mania and excitement!

The bathroom scene,... maybe Bond leaves Silva an 'upper decker'.

So has Skyfall has entered post production, the run time is now a point of massive discussion. Many rumours have surfaced that the movie will be 2hours, 30 minutes. Seems about the right length to me. 172 scenes in the movie, as well. I think this works out fine. I've been pretty bored, so here's my 'movie outline'...

Gunbarrel / PTS - 00 - 20 minutes (I think we're going to have a pretty long PTS here. Probably around the 20 minute mark)
Main Title Sequence - 20 - 25minutes
MI6 Attack / Bond returns / Evaluation / Training - 25- 50 minutes
National Gallery / Shangai / Macau / Bond meets Silva - 50 - 80 minutes
Bond back in London / M's hearing / Silva Escapes / London chase - 80 - 110 minutes.
Bond and M in Scotland - 110 - 145 minutes.
Bond looks over his 'Empire' / Credits - 145 - 155 minutes.

I think we actually know now that 172 probably isn't the last scene.

I also have a problem with the last point in that outline, which specifies just five minutes of screentime after the events in Scotland. Considering the gravity of these events, five minutes seems very brief. They can't just breeze into the credits after a wink and a dick joke. It would feel weird, and leave the audience hanging. I would expect a significant "post-mission dénouement" following the Scotland scenes. Maybe as long as ten minutes, not counting the credits. Specifically, I would expect...

Spoiler

Unless you mean something different by "main title sequence", I don't understand this estimate. My conception of a Bond title sequence is three to five minutes of weird imagery while the theme song plays.

Otherwise, I think this is a pretty plausible outline, granted a runtime of two and a half hours.

I don't think he's estimating the sequences' duration. They're estimates for actual timestamps during the film where the various sequences occur.

Looks like Skyfall will have the longest pre title sequence, betting TWINE and that is kind of exciting given what we've seen of it.

I'm not so sure. I agree it will have a fairly long PTS, but why longer than that of TWINE? Bond chases a French guy through Istanbul, they wind up on a train, Bond gets shot by Eve and falls into the river. It could be over in less than ten minutes.

Why "looks like" that?

It may not be but this is why I think it could be the longest;

We see Bond finding the computer with the missing hard drive or whatever,
that is I believe followed by Bond and Eve in a car chase
then a shoot out in the market
a bike chase which ends up on the train
and while on the train there is a scene involving a excavator throwing Beetles around which I think will run some time.
Finally Bond gets shot.

So it may not be the longest but I can't help but think each of those scenes will run 2 or 3 minutes each which could be about 15-20 minutes.
I haven't seen all the story boards, perhaps someone who has seen them all would have a better idea about it.

I'm just speculating.

My guess is that it will be about 15 minutes really, perhaps slightly less. All the aspects of the Istanbul/train sequence should flow into each other fairly seamlessly, thus cutting down on a lot of the plot development which padded out THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH's pre-title sequence.

So do I.

But anyway, the thought of finally having a full Bond meal again taking its time is thrilling IMO.

I want this to be so epic and traditional and modern and doing everything it can to establish again that Bond is the best.

Casino Royale - Appetizer - Brilliantly gets you pumped for the main course, if this restaurant is anything to go by, then we're in for one hell of a ride.
Quantum of Solace - Main Course - Not to everyones tastes, some prefered the starter, but it's on the right track, but lacks flavour.
Skyfall - Dessert - With Ice Cream and chocolate, and toffee and everything that makes it great!

Considering how long we've waited since QOS, it's more like we're breaking our fast. Here's hoping that SF is a full English.with all the trimmings.

Do we really think the whole finale with just Bond and M being chased down by Silva is going to be half an hour long? Isnt it just going to be ball-to-the wall action?
Furthermore, I thought the China scenes took place in the first 40 minutes of the movie when Bond has stubble. At the rate suggested Silva wont appear in the movie till around 70 minutes in......

According to the Mail today, it will be 11 minutes. Long, but not the longest.

What's exciting is the fact that we'll likely be getting 11 minutes of action and MI6 drama, unlike TWINE's fairly talky and poorly paced PTS.

Indeed! Perhaps less than a minute of Bond skulking around the darkened corridors and finding Ronson's body slumped in a chair, and then wall-to-wall action across a variety of modes (car, motorbike, train, etc.) for the next 10 minutes until Bond carelessly falls off a bridge... It should be quite a ride.
