What do you think of Samantha Morton (Minority Report, Elizabeth - The Golden Age) as the bad girl?

I quite like the idea of Sophia Myles, who played Madame de Pompadour in Doctor Who.

Since EON seems to once again prefer relative unknowns, I'll suggest:

I just saw 'Hitch' - a forgettable film with Will Smith - but it had two gorgeous women in there:
Paula Patton - an African-American Halle Berry lookalike, she was also in Deja Vu with Denzel Washington;

Mercedes Renard as Eva Mendes' sister - an unknown Cuban actress, but not obviously Latin-looking.

Sorry for not posting pictures or links, but I'm running out of time here.

Not bad... just hope she doesn't get a bullet in the brain. :(

By the way, what do you think of Amy Adams and/or Evan Rachel Wood? They're very attractive and it would be good to have some blondes back.

I'm more into dark women.

Anyone mention Freida 'Slumdog Millionaire' Pinto yet?

I hope not. I don't think her acting is up to it.

Admittedly, I do have a SLUMDOG-shaped chip on my shoulder.

She would be great, and I've recommended her before.... but it's a problem if she plays a character similar to her current role.

You wouldn't see Cote playing the Bond girl, you'd see Cote playing Ziva playing the Bond girl.

A bit like watching Pierce in Thomas Crown. Only with, you know.... more cleavage.

Rachel Weisz would be an excellent bond girl. Or even as Moneypenny in the next movie.

Amanda Seyfried, who was the bride in Mamma Mia with a singing BrozBond

too young, but not bad at all for some years later (Bond 24 or 25 perhaps)

Only if we get Russ to do the theme song. :( it get Russ to play Bond, or play him again if you count Basildon Bond. I don't want his lousy brother Paul writing the script though!

You don't need to be an actress to be a Bond girl.

I think that nowadays Bond girls really should be accomplished actresses. The quality of the movies are so high that wooden performances should no longer be tolerated.

Another of my choices: Bojana Novakovic.

I'm not sure about actresses, but I'd like to see the character of Gala Brand. Can the producers not use her for some reason? Is she like Vivienne Michelle, tied up in legal issues???

(In no particular order):

Clémence Poésy
Michael Michele (If they ever need an older actress, she could be it.)
Emily Blunt (She may be a good Moneypenny as well.)
Taraji P. Henson
Rachel McAdams (She may be too famous.)
Diane Kruger (See Rachel McAdams.)
Audrey Tautou
Marion Cotillard
