Indeed. If i understand, you're dressed like in the 70's-80's ?...A problem of transfert of personality huh ?Gotta be Sir Roger! Practically all my wardrobe looks like stuff RM's Bond would have worn. It's a bit sad, now I come to think of it...

Connery's first 4 in particular had him pretty much walking on water in the eyes of many.

I am so going to get flamed for this one
And as far as I'm concerned, Timothy Dalton is Ian Fleming's James Bond 007. Everyone else is just someone who happens to be quite similar.

Brosnan 9/10

I grew up with Brosnan
Its a pity to see people dislike Brosnan just because some of his movies were average, i mean DAD wasn't that good but that doesn't mean he wasn't great in it.

It goes way back to 2004, when Brosnan was the Bond of record, and so Craig wasn't even on the list. He's since been added, but anyone who's been around for a few years -- like me, and even I'm a latecomer -- will get a message that "you have already voted in this poll," so it doesn't allow for the possibility that people can change their minds.
That's not to say Craig has eclipsed Roger for me, but I'm sure he has for some people. Some may even like Dan better than Connery now. Conversely, the passage of time may have made some younger fans more appreciative of Dalton, or Lazenby. But again, they've voted already and can't change their votes.
Polls like this are interesting when it comes to taking a "snapshot" picture of what Bond fans are thinking at any given moment in time (ie: how did Brosnan rate in '04 as compared to '08?) but when you leave them open for five years, they just become a meaningless mess. There should be a way to put a deadline on them, and re-activate them at periodic intervals. Participation may decline as people think, "THAT poll again?" but at least the statistics you do get will be accurate.

For the acting I choose Craig.
For the charm I choose Connery.
For the humor I choose Moore.
For the resemblance to the Fleming vision I choose Dalton.
But:
My favourite movie after Casino Royale is OHMSS and I think that without some disturbing details such as the ridicolous haircut, some extra kilos, the mole on the cheek, and the Dumbo ears, Lazenby was absolutely the perfect choice.
I've attached a photoshop retouch to show you what I mean, please let me know your impressions (yes, I couldn't resist, pale gray eyes and scare on the left cheek! I love the books more than the movies).

I chose Moore. He has so far been as far from the Bond that Fleming created, but that isn't entirely a bad thing. He is quoted as saying he found Bond to be a bit of a silly concept, in that he is a spy but every bartender in the world knows who he is: "Shaken, not stirred Mr. Bond?" The implausibility has always been there, and he was able to run with it and make the movies incredibly fun to watch. However, they all have qualities that make their particular films work; except Brosnan. He just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time: Good Bond, horrible screenplays.
sorry about the double post. definitely not worth repeating

Both Films are strong both are dark both are well amazing bond films. Casino Royale was what caused me to read the fleming novels and Quantum of solace caused me to join this board. The bond films are great. Here's hoping bond 23 is as amazing as Casino royale and Quantum of solace.

Here it goes:
1. Timothy Dalton (10/10)
2. Sean Connery (10/10)
3. George Lazenby (10/10)
4. Daniel Craig (9/10)
5. Roger Moore (8/10)
6. Pierce Brosnan (7/10)
I think Dalton, Connery and Lazenby were perfect Bonds; I like Craig very much, I still think Dalton is the original of that kind of take on the character, I'm still happy the way they are going and I believe Craig is a very good actor; I also adore Moore, I really do, he was the most English of them all and he was tremendous fun to watch, but one has to admit he was far away from Fleming and he stayed on too long; as for Brosnan, I do enjoy him in the role, the problem were the lousy scripts of TND and DAD (1/2 of his movies, unfortunately), in which he had too many silly lines to say and machine guns to handle, although he comes in last, it's not his fault (GE and TWINE prove that he had enormous potential).

5. Roger Moore
Note: I don't put Lazenby because of him only doing one film. I really wish that he did another. OHMSS was fantastic. The ending was a fantastic settup for another outing. Also note that I rank Brosnan's Goldeneye over both of Craig's. After Craig's next film though he could quite possible top Brosnan.
