My favorite Moore movies don't seem to be the ones that everyone else likes. I tend to lean toward AVTAK, OP & MR. I like the other ones too, but those three top my list. I like AVTAK's villains (mainly Zorin), OP's settings (and Bond-girls), and MR's.... uniqueness.
Don't worry Richmond.....AVTAK has its fans on CBn....including me.

I thought that I'd throw my 2 cents worth in here!.
1. MOONRAKER
2. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME
3. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY
4. OCTOPUSSY
5. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN
6. LIVE AND LET DIE
7. A VIEW TO A KILL
TSWLM and MR, are always fighting it out for my top spot,
but I usually cave, and give it to MR,
probably because of it being the first one I saw at the cinema.

Having been a Moore-Fan for the last 26 years,
I thought that I'd throw my 2 cents worth in here!.

4. OCTOPUSSY
5. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN

I prefer Moonraker over The Spy Who Loved Me. I think everything works better in Moonraker. Venice, Rio, and the Amazon jungle are used much better than Egypt and are certainly more fun and interesting than Sardenia. Moore improves in Moonraker and his performance is stronger than TSWLM. Holly Goodhead is a stronger character than Anya and no offense to DLIBRASNOW. Also I think Drax is more believable than Stromberg especially with his line "look after Mr. Bond. See that some harm comes to him." I also think Moonraker has more fun with its action sequences which are more memorable, which dealt away with the irritation many critics had in the 70s towards TSWLM's action which they all argued never lives up to the ski chase, and after that ski jump the film's action goes downhill according to them and the sources. TSWLM also has a plot hole because we never find out whose going to live in Stromberg's underwater city, and thankfully Moonraker fixes this mistake and is more clearly written and thought out. Lastly, I know Jaws was a terrific baddy in TSWLM but Moonraker's use of Jaws is not a complete copy of "Spy." You have to give them credit, they tried something new with Jaws and made him more human.

Sorry, I have two accounts, and my computer keeps changing my account without me noticing...I have no idea why, though...I didn't wan't to keep my old account, because my old email address doesn't work anymore...so I got a new one...
Pretty sure you could have changed your email address on your original account, but no matter now as you seem to be fine with this one.
Just an FYI.

questions though:
Why is LALD the odd duck? No tuxedo?
Why is OP so hard for me to remember? No plot?
Why is AVTAK holding it's own? Walken? (i will just have to rent it one more time)
Why is TMWTGG so hated? Sheriff plus dwarf too much?

Moonraker was the first 007 that I saw. Hence, it got into my moonlight trailed system. I'll never forget those repeated viewings, wich led to buying or renting the Moore filography and, subsequently, the entire Bond franchise.
So I owe a lot to the 11th actioneer of the series.
Moore was the man then and I think his departure in the rol was inevitably due. It's a shame he didn't go for any mainstream films after 1985. At least I've got from Spy to Kill to go back and enjoy the good old times!
