Hmmm, I can't really rank them. I'll just rate them.

Goldeneye - 10/10
Tomorrow Never Dies - 7/10
The World Is Not Enough 7 or 8/10 (I dunno, it's moving up)
Die Another Day - 9/10

Die Another Day tops my list, it's a great Bond movie. It is just a kick in the pants to watch...only seen it three times though...gotta fix that.

Goldeneye is second, good plot, good villian, good henchman, bad music.

TWINE next. Although I didn't hate this film I think the ending is rather dull and confined.

TND just has a little two much action in the second half. It seems BOnd has turned into Rambo for much of the last half.

TWINE-Just the feel, the action, the locations, it all reminded me of the old days with Connery
DAD- I just love this movie, I can't get enough of it. Not only is a great Bond movie, but a great movie by my standards.
GE-Great first outing for Brosnan. Few gagets, more suspense, and intrege, great twist about a former MI6 agent being the villian, and knowing (almost) everything that Bond knew, a great equal, and challenge to bond
TND-I like this the least of Brosnan's film, only because it has too many hi-tech gadgets and devices. I thought the villians plot was good, he was willing to start a war just so that he could get higher ratings? He is was one sick puppy.

I am so impressed with the great support TWINE has been building over the years. One day I see it as a firm one or two on almost everyones Brosnan Bond list!

I just watched GE, TND, and TWINE last night. I'll give it another try.

Goldeneye - ****1/2 (out of *****)
Tomorrow Never Dies ***1/2
The World Is Not Enough ***
Die Another Day ****

I have to see DAD again before I can be sure.

I don't think TWINE will ever go up too much for me. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY want to like this movie, but I think it fell flat on it's butt for what it tried to do. It SHOULD have been much better. Renard should have had a larger role so that we actually think he's a real menace only to learn about Elektra. Granted, I already know about Elektra being bad now, so that may skew may opinion, but then one could argue that Bond should have manipulated more. The point is, Renard should have been set up as THE villain. One problem with TWINE is the lack of urgency. We just Bond while he does nothing, and there is no evil plot at all until way too late in the movie. That and Christmas Jones was was badly cast. Maybe if Denise Richards didn't talk and was naked the whole time it would have worked, but she really sucked.

TND isn't great, but it works for what it is.

1) Die Another Day - It is a great film. I even saw it a second time, and decided Jinx wasn't really all that bad. Really, comparing her to the other Good Bond girls Berry and Brosnan had a good chemistry. There was no chemistry existed between Brosnan and Richardson(TWINE), or Brosnan and Yeoh (TND). However, I wish there was more character development, or background to her character, but other than that the Women were great in this film, especially Miranda Frost. Love scenes were great. I thought the first James Bond and Jinx scene was too much for the film, when I saw it the first time, but then I thought, James Bond didn't have a woman for 14 months. So in sense he was just letting his impulses of being deprived for 14 months (keep in mind, he is an alpha male) out which in turn he was quite animalistic, and conviently Jinx was just as passionate as he was. (I hope that sounds okay, I can only term it so lightly) .

2) Goldeneye - I liked this Film, but I thought this had a better story than DAD, however, some elements I thought was underused like the z3 roaster, I didn't like the approach (okay here's the car and that's it) . And it seemed uninteresting not hearing the James Bond theme used as much.

3) TWINE At first, I thought this was better GE even Brosnan's best, but after DAD, something occured to me, like TSWLM, it just didn't appeal to me at all. Though I thought Brosnan portrayed at his best in this film.

4) Tomorrow Never Dies - This would have been a great film, but downside of it, was there weren't as clever enough with innuendos, and female characters weren't as good as the other Brosnan films (set aside Christmas Jones) in other words Jinx was a better counterpart than Brosnan, and Wai Lin's "Anything you can do, I can do better" attitude became tiresome.

1. Tomorrow Never Dies - a great re-working of TSWLM with a modern twist (am I the only one who thinks Ted Turner is evil?). I find it hard to believe that some people find this plot to be ridiculous, and yet love TSWLM which is basically the same plot. I LOVE the action in this one - it isn't absurd like the action in DAD. This one has real flair, and Wai Lin kicks a$s! Even Teri Hatcher is acceptable (much more so than Denise Richards). The parking garage car chase is one of the highlights of the entire series!

2. Goldeneye - Just a classic Bond movie. It has a nice balance between character and big action. Trevelyan is a well rounded character, and a worthy opponent for Bond. His mirror image if you will.

3. The World Is Not Enough - I wouldn't have thought that I'd be as fond of this one as I am a couple of years ago, but this one has really grown on me. The character development is excellent, and the pre-credits sequence is arguably the best in the entire series.

4. Die Another Day - A schizoid movie with a beginning that is part FYEO and part LTK. Then it becomes a cross between MR, DAF, and TND. It gets WAY out of hand, and many of the action sequences become laugh inducing rather than exciting or thrilling (Car VS Car, Ice Car VS Ray, Helicopter sequence). Still, the first 75 minutes or so are great, so it isn't a total loss - just a big disappointment in the end.

1 - GoldenEye - Good quaility Bond production, and easily the best of the Brosnan Bonds, but let's not get too excitied. It's as much due to lack of serious competition as it is to the quailty of the film. An old fashioned FRWL style collection of charcters starring Trevelyn, Xenia, Natalya, Boris, Valentine really gives this film a sense of style. Jack Wade isn't nearly as bad as people would have you believe, neither is the Eric Serra score come to think of it. Tank chase though St. Petersberg (?) is old fashioned Bond fun, this is how you do a Bond action scene, who ever was responsible for those subpar chases in TWINE and DAD should have looked at this to see how it was done. A little more time than neccesary is spent on the plot, but who cares, great flick.

2 - Die Another Day - Fast and slick film has some substance, but not quite enough. Havana scenes are very good, Q scene is terrific and some of the one liners are cool, but overall the script reads like expensive fan fiction. Jinx and Falco should be given a restraining order not to come with 200 feet of future James Bond films, and friends who know I'm and Bond fan haven't stopped taunting me about the invisible car. Still, Miranda Frost and Zao are good if underdeveloped character, the fencing scene is terrific and there are some great Bond touches here. Examples Bond pinching a couple of grapes, Bond punching the dude out and carting him along in the wheelchair. Jolly good fun.

3 - Tomorrow Never Dies - You know, I kinda like this film. Sometimes all I want to see is Bond kick ****, adn he does a good job of it here. The main action action scenes (pretitle, getting decorder, garage chase, motorcycle chase) are all done very slick and very well, and stand up on second viewing, unlike the action scenes of the following film. People say this film has too much action, but the action for the kost part is good, so I'm going to let it slide. Characters aren't the strong point here, Carver is disposable and Wai Lin is annoying, "Are you trying to protect me ?" she says, "I could have taken them", oh golly. Still, Broz is probably at his best, and I actually don't mind the plot. And the remote controlled car, very nice.

A CHASM LARGER THAN ALL THE AFORMENTIONED CHASMS IN THESE FORUMS COMBINED.

4 - The World is Not Enough - Oh dear God. Drab, dreary, crude, sloppy, boring, TWINE takes the prize for being the first Bond film not to be any fun. Pretitle scene feels like two. If the titles were food I wouldn't feed them to my dog, and the song is a dreadful moan. The action scenes are flat, boring and really feel tacked on. It's like the stop of the film so that they can have an action sequence. Oh, and yippie, Bond is vunerable and emotional. Did I forget to mention that locations suck ? And M's kidnappind just felt really wrong and stupid. I could go on, but the less said about this film the better. Will move to 5th on the Broz/Bond list when Bond 21 is released.

1) GOLDENEYE. Still my fave Bond of all time. It was the perfect Bond movie. It stuck to the proven formula - stunts, hot women, cars and exotic locations, but added some great stuff. I think 006 is the greatest Bond villain of them all, he really helped make the movie. Characters such as Wade and Zukovsky were great, and Brosnan made the perfet Bond.

2) DIE ANOTHER DAY. A terriffic Bond movie. Im still a little conflicted about the huge changes to the forumula such as Bond being captured and tortured for 14 months, but they made for a great film. Brosnan was absolutely perfect as Bond, his best performance. I didnt like the climax aboard the crashing plane too much, it was a bit too much, or the cars crashing through the ice hotel thing (without being scratched or dinged in the slightest), and I really didnt like Halle Berry as Jinx. She was too masculine, I like the feminine Bond women, but Miranda Frost was a great Bond girl, and very hot. A great movie, just a little too far over the top.

3) THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH. A great movie, and a return to the Roger Moore style of Bond. Robert Carlyle was one of the best Bond villains, and Sophie Marceau was one of the best Bond girls. Let down a little by some boring action scenes and Denise Richards who just plain sucked.

4) TOMORROW NEVER DIES. My least favorite Brosnan. A good movie, excellent writing, just bad casting. Jonathan Pryce was bad choice of villain and Teri Hatcher and Michelle Yeoh were poor Bond girls. Especially hatcher, she was terrible. Some great scenes though like the remote control car, and the Doctor was great. With a better cast it would have been something really good. The best Bond villains are the ones you want to watch, who steal the show, but Carver was just boring and uninteresting.

1. GoldenEye - like a poster says, there's no substitute! Brosnan is fresh and brought about I think the quote was "best come back since Lazarus" [who was resurrected for those who dont read the Bible]! 1st Brossy Bond I saw, made an impression so to speak!

2. TWINE - I cant complain really! If it came before GE, then it'd be no.1... timing is everything!

*Going against the trend*

3. TND - too much action maybe, but the action is good and imho Brossy looks his best in this one!

4. DAD - cut the beard and get rid of the beer belly! dude, brossy still looks fine... from the neck up! I love him dearly, but that combined with the god-awful use of CGI really made me squirm - the only Brossy Bond to do that, and since I love them all, that was the deciding point! Lame i know, and for that I apologise... I just hope someone understands!

Well as in the other thread, I am undecided on two of the films...

1. Tommorow Never Dies/Goldeneye - I have watched both of these too many times to count, I just love both of them. I also rank the start of Goldeneye as the best in the whole Bond series.
3. This is close, but I would say Die Another Day. It has a very good beginning and the first half of the film is superb. But it gets very distant from reality in the second half. Which is why it is low in my list.
4 The World is Not Enough - I would say this is one of the worst films I have seen. The start sequence is OK. The boat chase is quite good, and it also shows that Mi6 HQ isn't impenitrable. But the story is quite bad. The villains is very good, with a good plan, but it is put across badly.

1. The World Is Not Enough: Emphasizes plot and character over action, but I didn't mind too much. Nice complexity. Near-perfect for me, marred only by misguided handling of Christmas Jones character.

2. Goldeneye: Great debut film for PB, even if he seems a little self-conscious. Great women (both indispensable), great villain (Bond's evil twin) and great action.

3.) Die Another Day: Intriguing storyline and great cast and terrific first hour. Marred only by OTT tendencies in the last hour.

4.) Tomorrow Never Dies: Exciting and competent, but plot is overwhelmed by non-stop action. Teri Hatcher and Michelle Yeoh are great. Elliot Carver is the weakest villain of the series. Probably the Bond film that most resembles a mainstream action film.

Okay, here it goes:

1) Goldeneye- The "Dr. No" of Brosnan's tenure. Still holds up after 7 years. All the elements work in this one. Two exceptional Bond Girls and a villian who's Bond's physical and intelectual equal. Fisticuffs on the radar dish are the best since FRWL.

2) Die Another Day- Would've supplanted GE, had the last third been as fresh as the first third. Tired and truly implausible climax keeps this from being a great film. Producers succumb to the MTV set. Angela Bassett was my choice for Jinx. Decent villain & satisfactory plot twist.

3) The World is Not Enough- Great drama and characters. Bond at his most vunerable since FRWL. Film is hobbled by lackluster action scenes(where do you go after the Thames Chase), a tired climax and two underwritten characters(namely Renard).

4) Tomorrow Never Dies- A generic action film disguised as a Bond flick. Brosnan's comfortable with the role and is partnered with one of the most dynamic Bond girls EVER. The director loses the plot after the HALO jump. Even he admits there was too much action in this opus. Michelle Yeoh needs to return for another one. BTW, my namesake debuts in this one.

GE number one after that....

Well I am not sure I do not really feel the last 3 Brosnan's are close to GE, so
1. GE then a huge dropoff to number 2
2. TND (why was the ending so lame?)
3. TWINE ( I'm sorry but Denise Richards did not need to be in TWINE)
4. DAD (What can I say? Each successive Brosnan gets dumbed down, if your I.Q. is below say 115 then this is fine, however above 115 you are getting pretty ticked off at how each of the last 3 Bonds was geared more and more with each successive movie, to idiots)

I am so pleased to find that there are some Bond fans who liked TWINE -I was despairing before I found this thread. Forcing myself to rate the Brosnan Bonds is a painful process but....
1.
