Oh, yes - Emily Blunt, despite still being groomed to become a star (the upcoming adaptation of "The girl on the train" is another attempt at that) probably just a little better known than Eva Green pre CR, would be great. A wonderful actress who can play many different shades of a character.

I wouldn't mind Sarah Gadon actually.
She's 29 and Canadian. Has many tv shows, and films to her name but isn't as of yet too mainstream for Bond. Most recently she starred in Stephen King's 11.22.63, but she's yet to have her big break.

Still have to watch 11.22.63...

This is such an example, I've seen that face before, only I couldn't put a name to it yet. Most of MR ROBOT was cast with actors in this category; you knew you knew them, you just couldn't say exactly from where or when.
Still have to watch 11.22.63...
You may have seen her in Dracula Untold or The Amazing Spider-Man 2...?? But yes, I agree we need more actors/actresses of this caliber.
11.22.63 - don't hesitate!

Sarah Gadon's a good choice. She was also in Enemy and A Royal Night Out (as pre-Queenie!). She's worked a lot but seems doomed to miss her break...

Hiddles and Tay Tay.

Oh God!!
Now there'll be reports that Swifty will sing new the Bond song because of the association!

I HATE this news of Hiddles-swift. I'm still not warming to the idea that he could potentially even play Bond and now he's dating the anti-Christ.
Anyway, Sarah Gadon...

Felicity Jones will be in a galaxy far, far away soon so already that alleviates her above the mildly "unknown" status of a Bond girl which is a shame as she's a great British actress.
I still like the older Bond girl. Not the Bellucci bracket, but 30s, early 40s? I don't like Bond always having a "younger" woman, as it comes across like they are easily swayed by him and that's a bit old now. And I'd love a more established actress to hit the screen with him to really be on par with Bond, not always over-shadowed as a typical "love interest" and nothing more.

Kate Beckinsale OR Sienna Miller then? Would you say they both fit that bracket??

Not a fan of either one, I must admit.

I'd prefer Miller if I'm honest.

From a feminist/anti-ageist perspective, I'm always torn over suggestions like Beckinsale... Would casting her be a triumph for the 'older woman'? Or a reinforcement of the view that you have to be exceptional and youthful to be desirable at any age?

I agree with what you are saying. But, Bond is fantasy. Can we truly believe that Bond would be attracted to someone not so 'exceptional' when his life and all he encompasses is pretty exceptional to start with. I wrote a piece on women within James Bond films so this is a topic I really like. Personally, with all feminist perspectives a side it would ruin the fantasy for me to have anyone who was a less than exceptional character - looks included.

Dormer is a most impressive face in the crowd, just the kind of slightly mischievous looks that can hide anything from angel to devil - and possibly both at the same time. Yes, I could very well see her in a future Bond film.

I still laugh about 'dating the anti-Christ'...

TS is the anti-christ, mark my words.
You're right Dormer is impressive. She had a small part in Rush, and she was good in that too.

Hmm. Dormer. She'd be a great villainess given the right material. A Fiona Volpe-type. She was great in 'The Tudors'.

Perdita Weeks was recently introduced to the cast of Penny Dreadful as a totally awesome vampire hunter. She's got a commanding presence and is absolutely beautiful.

Very, very good suggestion!
Just don´t let her fight in the film. No need for another Wai Lin, Jinx kind of character.

Excellent choices!
Dormer played a brilliant heroine/villain as Moriarty in Elementary, classic Bond stuff.
That clip of Perdita Weeks (sister of Honeysuckle?) is very promising. But... "Cat-ree-OWN-a"? It's Cat-ree-na...

Exactly. Terrific find. No wonder she will return for the next MI-movie.
