Thank you I hope to book for the 26th another Screening for SPECTRE at the odeon in Leicester Square and would I make it in time after the premiere finishes for the 7:30pm showing?

Not sure you'd make it for the 7.30pm showing (and I think that's actually sold out now), but the 11.30pm would probably be doable - unless that's also sold out!

Thank you and I think there's a seat left right at the back but I guess I'll have to stick with my 13:30 showing on the 27th at the BFI. I can't wait for my Spectre filled weekend and travelling from Walsall to have a Bond filled Weekend Should rent a tux haha

Enjoy! My first SKYFALL showing was at the BFI. It's great.

Very strange: the Premiere will take place in about six weeks, but we still don't have any details about where it's going to be. The Skyfall Premiere was on Oct. 23rd 2012, the first we heard about it taking place at the Royal Albert Hall was Sept 3rd and we knew the details by Sept. 7th or so.
The SPECTRE Premiere will take place on Oct. 26th and until now, we have no word at all, except some unconfirmed rumors, wether it'll be at the Royal Albert Hall or anywhere else.
Been convinced for a long time that it'll be at the RAH, but now I have a strange feeling that it won't. Apparently, There's a screening at the Empire Leicester Square at 8 PM on that day for which no tickets are on sale, and the screening at the Odeon Leicester Square (for which I luckily have a ticket) is set to start at 7.30 PM.
Thoughts?

I still believe, on no particular evidence, that the official premiere will be at the RAH. By the by, Stromberg, a bunch of us CBn'ers (including Mrs. Tallon and me) have those 19:30 tickets at Leicester Square. Who knows, maybe we'll run into each other. I'll be the guy making the rounds and asking, "Pardon me, can I borrow a match?"

Part of me still believes in the RAH, too. I just wonder why they don't announce anything. I've got no doubt it'll be sold out within half a day even with an announcement only a week ago, but people may want to make plans, book flights and hotels etc. in time, (especially those celebs and starlets who'll certainly show up en masse). 'tis a bit of mystery to me.
Actually, we did meet after the Skyfall premiere, at the Hippodrome. I was the one who hadn't seen the movie and thus had to stay a bit out of earshot (or put my hands on my ears) whenever people started detailed discussion. I managed to get away with only one spoiler (a major one, but I already suspected before that M wouldn't survive the movie). Unfortunately, I have really bad memory for faces and I lost my small camera on the way to the hotel that night. You may have to kick me to make me recognize you

Yes, indeed. As I recall, you were with The Admiral, Athena007, and some others. Maybe we'll do it again!

Correct. I believe I remember you wearing some silvery or grey suit (something non-black) and maybe a purple shirt or tie...

Um, no. I was in standard black dinner jacket. I haven't been trendy since 1968.

Okay, I started the discussion a day too early. Possible that I'll have a ticket for Odeon Leicester Square at 7.30 that day for sale (depending on how things go).

And also confirmed is....
Absolutely no tickets will be sold to the public this time around. This confirmed by the charity CTBF just now.
Hmm. Oh well.

And also, having just spoken to the Lullaby Trust (new name for the FSID charity that had long associations with World and Local charity premieres to the Bond films), they say that this year, there will be no Local charity performances...
Usually in the UK, there were around 10 or so Local Premieres held just between the World Premiere date and the general release date. Maybe as a result of the 'same day release date' thing, this was one reason to can the Locals.

This might explain what's going on at the Empire Leicester Square, I believe they have said it's an "event connected with the Premiere'.
For DAD, it was also the CTBF - they did the main Royal Film Performance Premiere at the RAH and a CTBF members' Premiere simultaneously at the Empire.
They could be doing something similar again.

Have tickets been sold yet for the Empire then?
Is this part or not part of all else that said tickets were being sold from the 7th?

No. Basically the 8pm listing is a mistake on the site as both the telephone booking team and the cinema itself are saying first public showing 11:30pm

For the record, if anyone is looking for opening night tickets I potentially have a spare for the 23:59 at the BFI IMAX. Premier seat, pretty much dead centre.

I decided to spend time in front of Google as I just could not believe that there wouldn't be any Regional Charity Gala showings this time around. So, at the risk of appearing previously gullible when speaking to Lullaby, hoping to make good by saying the following all seem to be offering regional efforts for their respective causes.
Stars Appeal Breast Cancer Unit Campaign
Homeless Action in Barnet
Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI
British Friends of Reuth
Ayrshire Hospice

We finally have a release date for Australia - Thursday 12th November.
So we have to wait 2 weeks and avoid this site. It has been worse before - we've had 3 or 4 week waits. It is mainly because we have to wait for the cast to travel here for the premiere.

For all those who have applied for the Premiere tickets via CBTF, the ballot is taking place today.
People should be told, either way, this evening. (I am told)

Pfft. What does the Royal Albert Hall in London have that the Odeon in Basingstoke doesn't have on opening night?
I THINK I'll stick with my £9.50 cheap seat thank you very much.

I received news from the CTBF that I've been successful in the lottery. Mrs. Tallon now gets a new dress, and, just in case, she'll be practicing her curtsey.

Bu88er - I have received no such notification yet.
I guess I am not so lucky.
Of course Tallon, I am overjoyed by your success....!
