Lovely. There's been mutterings for a while but it's lovely to see this set in stone officially. It would be a good idea to keep an eye on the BBFC website over the next few days. That way we can get confirmation of running time! I loved the Skyfall teaser trailer, but I really hope they go bold Bond this time. A nice Bond theme to roar over our first taste of what's to come! Roll on March 28th!

The more explosive and in-your-face the new trailer is, the better for me.

I'm expecting something moody and mysterious.
Me too. I'll perhaps put some specific ideas in a spoiler thread. I'll knock one together now.

I'll take whatever they're willing to give us! I'm soooo excited that anything will work for me!
Just don't want to see too many spoiling items in it, but only get glimpses.

Fantastic. I'm surprised we're getting something so early. Don't we normally wait until May time?
It is going to make the wait til the movie even longer, especially for us here in Oz, where it's not actually "Coming Soon" , it's "Christmas 2015".

Is it weird that they release the teaser on a Saturday?
But I guess the intel is reliable, right?

'Skyfall' teaser was only 1:24 from start to finish and 'The Force Awakens' was 1:31, and that was mightily impressive, so we get an extra 13 seconds here which should suit us fine!

I was wondering the same. It seems a bit unusual, but the dates appear to be coming from a good place. Is it weird that they release the teaser on a Saturday?
But I guess the intel is reliable, right?

I reckon we'll have three trailer like last time.
Teaser Trailer - March 28th
IMAX Trailer - July (31st - attached to Mission: Impossible V. Similar to The Dark Knight Rises back in 2012 for Skyfall)
Theatrical Trailer - August/September

I'd be happy with this as well. Or we could get something at Comic Con? A Bond panel would be awesome!

I don't think we'll see anything at Comic-Con. I was expecting something back in 2012 for Skyfall, and I think there was a booth there that was about the 50th Anniversary. Nothing regarding the actual film at all. Kind of a shame, as I think it can be a serious impact for them and generate much more hype.
Who knows.
Never Say Never.

I think they're launching the trailer earlier to get it out ahead of the Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens theatrical trailer which will almost certainly be screened during the upcoming Star Wars Celebration on April 16 - 19 seeing as both J.J. Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy will be attending. That trailer will leak or officially be online that weekend and will dominate the entertainment news cycle for weeks.
Best get Bond out front so they can have two to three weeks for themselves.

Skyfall didn't exactly do badly at creating serious impact without it though, did it?

I like comic book films, but yes, Bond is above Comic Con and similar institutions in my opinion. This franchise beats to its own drum.

Yeah, Bond doesn't need Comic Con.

I don't think Bond specifically needs Comic Con, I just feel that since Skyfall was released it's gained a completely new legion of Bond fans and I'm sorry, but if Comic Con where to confirm a SPECTRE panel, with Daniel Craig, Lea Sedeoux, Dave Butista, Barbara Broccoli and Sam Mendes then it would be something I'm sure everyone on here would be excited about. (Probably an exclusive trailer, with a Q&A and maybe a other major news scoop. (title artist, video game or something). I feel it's unfair to be in a mindset where SPECTRE is lowering it's standards by appearing at Comic Con because Bond is somehow 'too good for it'. At the end of the day, it would be great publicity and a very nice opportunity, especially for the fans that would go there from all parts of the world. It's a nice experience, and Comic Con is an exciting time for games, movies, comic books, tv shows. I don't feel it would be beneath Bond to get involved with that. They'll be finished shooting by July, It would be a perfect time to launch to publicity campaign over the summer.

It's not only comic book films that appear for discussions and premieres at SDCC.
