I don´t like it...
...I love it!
Way better than those awful SF character posters. Nothing wrong with it. Simple. Effective. Very Fleming.

I hope not but I'm guessing the teaser poster will be a disappointment after the last one. Hope I'm wrong.
I wasn't wrong. Horrible.

It's the best poster since the Casino Royale teaser poster. That's no great badge of honor, I suppose, but it's something.
Yes it it. I think its brilliant. Sets the tone right. And I thought the SF ones were some of the worst in the entire series. Those and DUDs. So far, I can´t really think of anything that worries me about SP. Everything seems to be wonderfully thought out. Can´t wait to take a look at some SP cinematography.

Consider:
The final poster for Skyfall featured Craig - just Craig - dressed to the nines, pistol at his side, with the gun barrel and London skyline in the background.
Bond is back.
The SPECTRE teaser poster is just that - a teaser. Relax, folks. The best is yet to come. Bond is back - with action as well as class.
And better hair.

I still can't get over how good it looks! If you were told this was from 2010, you wouldn't bat an eyelid, it does seem like the haircut makes all the difference!
Maybe a little softening of the laughter lines too

I agree. It's definitely partly about how good Craig looks. Many people go to see the latest Bond movies just to see Daniel Craig himself.

I think it's a good teaser poster, a solid 7/10. I don't like the color variation at all. It looks too much like a a regular publicity still, just imposed with the logo and studio information, etc. However, I love the black & white variation. I think it's easily the best one and certainly matches the winter/snow setting of Austria. I also like the emphasis on Craig's blue eyes. It's not extreme, it's subtle, but it's quite nice. I don't really see the photoshop as a major problem at all, I think Craig looks fine as is. The outfit is great, a nice throwback/nod to Moore from Live And Let Die and definitely reminded also of Steve McQueen from Bullitt. Nice to have some official confirmation about the IMAX release (looking forward to seeing this in IMAX!) And the more I look, the more I like the font too. It's better than the AG Futura variations that's been used for the last two bond films.
A solid 7. Very McQueen in BULLITT/Rog in LALD.
Absolutely!

I prefer the colour version. I've had enough of the black and white stuff for the time being.

Agreed.
The I didn't even notice there was a black and white version until I went back and looked for it. The B&W version is far less effective than the color version, IMO.

he looks cool, although his face looks photoshopped a little smoother and i wish they had included the release date to make it look more official

It's alright. 7/10 for me. A little boring, but Daniel looks really good. The longer hair definitely suits him better than the SF look. Of course it's been retouched. Happens to everyone. No normal person has eyes that blue.
And yes, the outfit reminds me of Rog in LALD, but also - Archer fans will recognize this "slightly less black black turtleneck."

I find it un-original and un-inspiring.
I do not feel teased at all.
Ok this hommage to Mendes favourite point but he misses the point : what makes LALD teaser poster great is the bullet impact.
The shadows on LALD poster were great and brought mistery. Here it is plain light making Craig look totally artificial

Rubbish. A slightly Photoshopped publicity still.
Edited. Please keep spoiler details out of this thread.

I still think people neglect the notion of a true "teaser" in the industry now - it's the first official tease of the film, not all the BTS footage and images us hardcore fans see daily and expect to see, but for the general public also, so for those with no real idea about what's been going on, then the first official image of DC as 007 looking very much ready for action is perfect!
It's a tease...nothing more and it shouldn't be. James Bond is coming back looking like he means business, and it's in 'SPECTRE'. That teases me enough to want more and perfectly timed for the teaser trailer which I hope will do just what 'Skyfall' did...tease the hell out of us!

Like it a lot!!!
Simple, effective, and appealing details (the stylish action outfit, gun in hand, the watch on a NATO strap, the "LALD style" holster, the slightly longer hair, etc.).
Good job!
Although as many others I thought the "octopuss" was the teaser poster. But I'm all for this one.

Absolutely agree with you.
It's teasing all right! Just seeing this one image puts me in Bond mood. I am teased and clearly anticipating what's next (trailer, and eventually the movie itself).

True. This poster needed to say: Daniel Craig is James Bond and will deliver action.
The LALD-element of that poster is just for us fans to think: I KNOW THAT ! I KNOW THAT!

Not exactly breaking news for a Bond movie, no ?

Easily at least one more, wouldn't count out two either.Whaddaya think - does Dan have one more mission in him?
(He's only as old as Roger was while making TMWTGG)

Hopefully they come up with something that's actually halfway decent this time around. We haven't had a poster that has even risen to the level of mediocrity since the excellent Casino Royale teaser poster.
Sony's poster artwork has been lackluster, post- CR. I'm not expecting them to raise Bob Peak from the dead and put him to work but they have to do better and get more creative. At this point, I'd go for the Photoshop approach they used for Goldeneye's theatrical release poster.

Exactly, and many people who see the poster won't even know filming is under way on the next Bond film. This is partly to get Bond back into their minds, as publicity continues to ramp up.
