I like the way your mind works, sharpshooter.
And that is the kind of situation 007 finds himself in from time to time.

I read that she lives in Rio, Paris, London and Rome with her french husband(the guy from Ocean's 12-13). So, she's like the female Dos Equis drinker: the most interesting woman in the world! So, she's 50 but she's not your Aunt Carrol Orlando.

She's actually separated from her husband, Vincent Cassel (another great actor). Shame for him, but hopeful for another gent haha!
I don't mind an older woman playing the Bond Girl, provided she looks good for her age. Monica Bellucci has always looked great, and she's aged rather gracefully. 50 years old, and she's still beautiful.
Yes she looks great. You have to think she may be a bad guy or someone of power.
I'd be surprised if she was a good Bond girl. Something tells me she isn't playing one though.

Eva Green was good, but Monica's casting is the most exciting for me in a long while. She's a dream.

Can't... look... away!

So, who's going to start the Monica Bellucci Appreciation Society? Or would it be more appropriate to call it the Monica Bellucci Worship Society?
Posted 06 December 2014 - 12:51 PM
I would support the Worship wording, for sure.

Molto bene, JCRendle! Both fantastic efforts.

Smashing job, there JC.

Thanks guys

I'd personally like to see her as a bad Bond girl who ends up helping Bond, he is James Bond after all.

Those are GREAT, JC!
I definitely fall in line of the Bellucci place of worship.

Side note, I briefly dated a woman who rather looked like her (or at least IMO like she could've been Monica's sister), was about the same age, and like Monica, easily looked 10 years younger than she really was.
Dave
So why did you let her go????
There was an age difference of 17 years (I was 23, she was 40, though even her doctor said she had the body of a 30-year-old). This caused complications:
- our parents disapproved, esp. my mother
- we were at different places in life; she wanted marriage & children (and bearing them was still feasible), and I was young & didn't know what I wanted. I couldn't ask her to wait until I got my act together any more than she could ask me to grow immediately
- while we had things in common, we just didn't click; chemistry is important

"She screen-tested to be a Bond girl ... and the fools said no." Poor Brosnan.

I'm contemplating one for Lea Seydoux, but I definitely wouldn't mind one for miss Bellucci.

While watching her in the press interviews after the announcement, I couldn't help but realise how old she looks.

Well, yeah, she's 50. But for her age, she still looks beautiful and she's aged more than gracefully.

Indeed. It's not a factor for me. In fact, I like her because of her age, not in spite of it.

Exactly. At first I was a little weary, but after seeing her, I love the casting. She's overdue for a Bond film. She's a great actress and undeniably gorgeous.

At 50, she looks better than alot of 40 year olds to be perfectly honest.
I thought Monica looked great, especially for her age.
Posted 07 December 2014 - 04:31 PM
Exactly. They need more women over 35 in Bond films.

Totally agree. She looks incredible and I don't think she even looks 50. How great would it be if she turned out to be the rebooted Blofeld? She'd be perfect.

I've only seen her in THE MATRIX RELOAD I believe. Didn't really care much for her performance in that. I don't think she'll be a Bond girl or Blofeld.

The Bond crew were crazy to turn her down for Tomorrow Never Dies. But I'm glad they did, because SPECTRE is sure to be a much better film. The wait will be worth it, especially if the magnificent Monica has a solid chunk of the screentime.

Well Maud Adams appeared as a Bond girl twice....
