It's all only one film and it's the best film ever made. It's right next to Copernicus and the Hubble Telescope as mankinds greatest achievements!

Woah!2. A View To A Kill
24. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
That ranking is... one of the most surprising and shocking things I´ve ever read on this board.

I've still got to wait 1.5 weeks, but I've been curious about the rankings and it's good to see Spectre generally in the top half of rankings, although someone has ranked it at 21st

Same wait for me, too. I'm hoping SPECTRE makes my top ten list at least. I think it has the potential to with Daniel Craig's presence alone.

I love QOS also. Highly underrated. I think it will date well like OHMSS

Interesting choices all around.
I´m planning to revisit the films that plummeted on my list during my re-watch sessions this spring: THUNDERBALL, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY and... uh, no, too early for THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH.

Good plan. There's a couple I want to revisit as well. GOLDFINGER and YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE both rose a fair bit for me, with DR NO dropping. I feel that SPECTRE is in about the right place though for me at this stage.Interesting choices all around.

Over the course of the last year, I've re-watched all of them (didn't get to SF until yesterday afternoon, then went out & saw SP). Surprised at how some of my rankings have changed over the years. A few of these rankings may be a little fuzzy, i.e. they could conceivably switch (3 & 4, 5 & 6, 16 & 17), but for the moment, then:
- Goldfinger
- From Russia with Love
- Casino Royale
- Dr. No
- GoldenEye
- On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
- The Spy Who Loved Me
- Skyfall
- Moonraker
- The Man with the Golden Gun

Below is my current list. One film that many love that I just don't get is the Spy Who Loved Me. To me it was emblematic of how bloated and camp the franchise became. That said, I am glad others love it and I am certainly not looking for a fight.

2. Goldfinger
3. Skyfall
4. Casino Royale
5. For Your Eyes Only

Had to do it. SPECTRE did provoke me into re-thinking my previous ranking of the films - just as my re-watch sessions in June did.
25. NSNA (still last place - some amusing scenes but always the weird stepbrother of the franchise)
24. TWINE (no change - and I did love this film years ago. Strange how feelings can change.)
23. DAD (dropped a few places - although I am entertained by the film)
22. DAF (a narrative mess of many amusing ideas - oh, wait, that happens a lot with Bond films, right?)
21. FYEO (great Sir Roger turn, many great scenes - but the sum of its parts has less impact on me)
20. TB (re-watched it again, had more fun, Connery is actually fantastic, but it kind of never rises to the top for me; what could have made it better for me... less water?)
19. LTK (solid)
18. AVTAK (better than I had remembered)
17. DN (legendary)
16. SPECTRE (very entertaining but...)
15. YOLT
14. MR
13. TMWTGG
12. GE
11. CASINO ROYALE
10. GF
9. OP
8. LALD
7. TND
6. TLD

Seeing these rankings... all are different, but most have in common one thing, almost all put QOS as the lesser liked Craig's movie. And on IMDb rating (a broader showroom of popularity) this tendency is even clearer... I wonder where are all those QOS defenders, that around 2008 use to claim that Forster's movie was somehow a misunderstood masterpiece and a pinnacle for Bond films. I guess it's only after times passes, that we really get to see how a movie is regarded, at least for the majority of people.

Two in a universe of….?? And the other member, besides you, that put QOS in his top ten- just in the tenth place, still ranks QOS as his lesser liked Craig movie (and that was exactly what I originally said) Anyhow, I edited my post highlighting a wider display of this tendency on IMDb rating- where it's at the 14th place among EON's Bond movies.
I respect your taste, but you´re clearly in a tiny minority regarding QOS. For instance, I like SP (I think only CR is better than that movie in the Craig era), but I have to face the fact that the majority of people, fans or non Bondfans, think SF is a better film.

True. Still, QOS has many fans on this board. And if it hadn´t - so what? Can´t win them all, as Mr. Bond says.

Yeah, I agree. In fact, I think Licence To Kill and Octopussy are the two most underrated Bond films with Tomorrow Never Dies third. If I have to pick a most overrated film, I would probably go with Skyfall. It's good, but I don't think it's as great as many people seem to think.
As for Licence To Kill, I love, love, love, Robert Davi as Franz Sanchez--the best villain in the series and Carey Lowell as Pam Bouvier--my favorite Bond girl. It has some of the best stunts of the series too--the Wavekrest escape and tanker truck chase are absolutely awesome.

Completely agree with you on LTK. I even met Robert Davi and told him he was my favorite Bond villain (still is.) And Carey Lowell, mmmm! She saved Bond long before Swann got credit for being the first to do that. Not a bad way for Dalton to bow out, in her arms.
Always loved Octopussy from day one. It's John Glen's Lewis Gilbert film. Big production, nice song, good chemistry with Roger and Maude. FYEO is better, but OP is a fave.
TND still my favorite Broz Bond, though it's slipped overall for me. It's sort of violent and cold hearted, but the first hour is just vintage. Would have been cool had his ex actually been one from the movies, but tough to do on an actor's second film.
And I find it easier to respect QoS than I do Skyfall. The script seems more unfinished than having the holes that SF does. They didn't quite pull it off, but I respected what they were trying to do. Especially when I heard Forster saying each action set piece represented one of the four elements--earth, water, air, and fire.

Completely agreed with everything here. Well said.
As for Quantum of Solace, going back to what SecretAgentFan said about it already being in two Top 10s on this very page, if I were to put my own Top 10 here, that would be a third for it, just here alone. I'll take that film over any Bond film we've gotten since Dalton hung up the tux, although Casino Royale does come close. Everything else since then, however, not so much.
