18. FYEO (no change)
14. AVTAK (dropping slightly from no. 10, with LALD rising again)
In the AVTAK thread, you put AVTAK below FYEO. Here it appears above. What gives?

You´re absolutely right. But somehow I did prefer it slightly when doing the ranking. Maybe the Dalton and Brosnan eras have contributed to this change of opinion.

Absolutely! Easily somewhere in the low single-digits, no higher than #3 .

I categorise them in seven groups like this:
GROUP 007
These are the truly excellent films. Pure magic for aficionados.
- From Russia With Love
- On Her Majesty’s Secret Service
- For Your Eyes Only
GROUP 006
Another group of excellent films. But a little bit more polish is needed to take them up another level.
- Dr No
- Thunderball
- The Spy Who Loved Me
- Octopussy
GROUP 005
Good, enjoyable, Bond films, but they all suffers from some major flaws. A skilled editor could fix most of them.
- Goldfinger
- You Only Live Twice
- Diamonds Are Forever
- Moonraker
GROUP 004
These films do have plenty of classic moments, but they don’t hold together very well. Unlike Group 005 films, I can’t point out the flaws so easily – they need a complete makeover (script, casting etc).
- Live And Let Die
- The Man With The Golden Gun
- A View To A Kill
- The Living Daylights
GROUP 003
In the following groups, I place the films from the modern era, LTK and onward. These films have completely lost the feeling and the original craftsmanship, and therefore cannot compete with any of the films above. It’s like comparing old and new Star Wars. The films in this group are still somewhat entertaining in their own way.
- Tomorrow Never Dies
- Casino Royale
- Skyfall
GROUP 002
Same as Group 003 films, just not as well made.
- Licence To Kill
- GoldenEye
- The World Is Not Enough
- Die Another Day
- Quantum of Solace
GROUP 001
And the last group is reserved for the film I care the least about.
- Never Say Never Again

This list changes constantly; Skyfall probably deserves to make the top 10, but I decided to keep it just outside due to its recent vintage. I loved Casino Royale at the cinema (saw it twice), but I found it a bit padded out last time, and a bit heavy handed in its attempts at emotion/humanising Bond, something I feel was handled far better in OHMSS, and even TLD. However the last 4 of the list are fairly interchangeable (i.e. not really a fan of these four, for various reasons). Diamonds is the most tedious, so that gets my bottom vote overall, despite some enjoyable moments (Plenty O'Toole, Wint & Kid's camp antics) and 1 great fight scene.
Edit - I've added my ratings out of 10 for each film. This probably just adds to the confusion though as my ranking doesn't always match my critical view of each film.

I'll be on properly in a few hours and I've been a tad tight lipped regarding SPECTRE, but come tonight I have all the time in the world! and if my latest ranking is anything to go by....
I predicted it would be #5 a few months ago and I was close!
