Always fun, this ranking. Two years after my last attempt (when I actually re-watched every one of them in a short period of time) I will try to do one based on how my memory of them places them.

The old ranking numbers are put in brackets. Of course, this ranking is mainly influenced by my desire to re-watch some of them right now (if I had the time).

1. TSWLM (1)
2. CR (3)
3. TLD (11)
4. TWINE (4)
5. FRWL (5)
6. DAF (9)
7. LTK (19)
8. TMWTGG (8)
9. OHMSS (10)
10. MR (15)
11. AVTAK (16)
12. YOLT (12)
13. DAD (13)
14. DN (14)
15. QOS (2)
16. LALD (20)
17. OP (22)
18. TB (18)
19. GF (7)
20. FYEO (21)
21. GE (17)
22. TND (6)
22. NSNA (22)

Wow, SAF - look at the 'QOS' drop. Interesting! Nice to see 'AVTAK' and 'TLD' have risen for you.

In fact, looking over the rankings on the last few pages, I'm shocked how low 'QOS' is on the majority of lists...!

I'll have to rethink and do a new ranking for mine in the next few months after re-watching them. Not done one for a good year or so now.

I know - but the drop of QOS does not mean that I don´t like it anymore. It´s just due to the fact that I have watched it too often. Other films I have not watched for some time have gained momentum for me.

And in the end, I love them all. If NSNA places last it still means that I think it´s terrific entertainment.

Nice one SAF, I know what you mean. It's one of THE hardest questions in life I think for fans to "Rank the James Bond films" - I don't think a list ever can or will be the same either for a group of people or just one fan, but I think that's the point, to see how they go up and down over time!

Maybe next time you do this, we'll see where 'Skyfall' ranks...!

In fact, looking over the rankings on the last few pages, I'm shocked how low 'QOS' is on the majority of lists...!

It's only justice that is being made with QOS appraisal.
And at the risk of sound childish...... where are the QOS (insanely) fanatics now??!!!

P.S. I don´t hate QOS, it's just taht I was tired of some fans praising it as pure work of art, treating other people that doesn't share that opinion as ignorant, that couldn't understand the (supposed) deepness of that movie.

If the subject of this topic had been about one's favorite to least favorite Bond movie, it would make sense. But from best to worst? No . . . that doesn't make sense to me. Especially since this is basically a topic in which the answer would be subjective.

I'm afriad so.

Granted, I probably have seen this one less, but I seem to get more enjoyment out of the others than I do this one for some reason. Don't know if it's that old excuse of not clicking with Lazenby acting as 007 or what...as I said, it's probably the least watched so is the one I don't hold as dear to me.

It's probably due another viewing with a clear head, wrapped up in the 50th Anniversary / 'Skyfall' build-up.

I will report back to you on how it stands, as I was waiting for that to be picked up, being so low on my list but quite a favourite on others.

*First half of Die Another Die is almost up there with Godeneye, right until the invisible Aston Martin. Everything in Iceland is farce with the most embarrassing CGI (surfing) ever made. The slow-mo, John Woo style fight in the finale is utter pants.... Truly a film of 2 halfs.

*TWINE would be a little higher if Armstrong's action set-peice style didn't jar so horribly with Apted's style in the rest of the movie (the 'drama'). Both were well handled, but it was like cutting back and forth between 2 different movies. Ironically Arnold's otherwise decent score just ended up enhancing the contrast as the bombastic cues would explode every time Vic Armstrong took the director reigns.

*TMWYGG would've been higher if not for the swanee-whistle on the car-jump stunt.

*AVTAK: Good story, great villain, but the great Roger was sadly just a tad too old for James Bond 007 by that time.
