I've made a composite total for the Bond top 20 (what we voted on here), to see what we love and what we hate.
It's an inexact science, I've included most of the posts on this list, and there are a few things that need to be pointed out.
First, some lists are incomplete, some have "doubles", and some don't even have Diamonds are Forever dead last...(I'm also not quite sure Icephoenix understood the game--he might have included "Die Hard" on his list, I'm not sure...)
The number represents the average score for each film, based on the readers lists. Without further ado:

...in other words, the average spot on everyone's list for AVTAK was around 16th, even though it received the least support.
-What I discovered...
1)We all liked Goldfinger, and hated AVTAK.
2)We liked DAD more than I thought we would.
3)We are all very confused. Consider:

-12 different films got at least 1 "First place vote." (GF-5, FRWL,OHMSS-4, TLD-3)
-11 different films got at least 1 "Last place vote." (Shockingly Thunderball had 4, but TMWTGG had 5.)
-5 different films received votes for Best AND Worst on the list...(LTK, DAD, YOLT, TB, MR) Positively shocking. This is from a sampling of around 30 lists. We couldn't disagree more.
-AVTAK had only one top-10 finish (#5.)

I think this really means that with Bond, there is really a lot to choose from.

I haven,t seen yet all the bond movies. but I will still rank the one that I have seen so far.....here it is:

I've watched all the Bond movies within the last 3 weeks or so. I like all the pre-DAD official ones a lot. I'm no longer really much of a NSNA fan, and I still loathe DAD after the first 39 minutes or so. I cannot pick a favorite for the life of me. I can break the 19 I like into 3 different tiers, but I really like them all a lot minus NSNA and DAD.

NSNA is not that bad !!!

Why are there so many who detest this 007 "one off"?

For years everyone complained that Connery was gone. He comes back to make NSNA and it gets trashed. Why?

Aside from the lack of the traditional gun barrel opening and 007 music (which I too miss), I does have a lot of strengths. There are some fine actors -- Klaus Von ____ (his name ironically escapes me), Max Von Sydow, Barbara Carrera, and Kim Basinger. It's got some great scenes with a world-weary, been there, 007. And it's got a good deal of style especially with his tango/waltz scene with Domino.

All in all, not that bad. I think in many ways it's better than half the Moore films and YOLT.
