He's a frequent collaborator with Mendes, but I wanted Thomas Newman to return. So I'm glad he is. The Skyfall soundtrack is hands down my favourite of the modern era. A successful mix of ambience and lushness. Komodo Dragon is the perfect example of what I mean. And I hope his version of the Bond theme returns - heard during the Grand Bazaar motorcycle chase.

Couldn't agree more. I think Newman is perfect for Bond.

It would be interesting to see if he utilises Arnold's 'Night at the Opera' theme for Quantum, given Mr White is set to appear at the very least.

There are a couple themes Newman used in SKYFALL that I hope return, including the music that plays when Bond enters the flat in Turkey and the building in Shanghai, and the version of the Bond theme heard when he digs out the shrapnel from his shoulder and as he leaves M's office to go meet with Q at the National Gallery. I'm thrilled he's back.

Two of my favorite scenes in THUNDERBALL involve Bond dancing. I particularly love the scene with Bond and Domino dancing. It is an intimate scene that forwards the plot, the intrigue, and deepens their relationship. A scene with Bond and one the ladies dancing slow and close could be interesting...

I'd love to see a scene with the Double I'd being briefed on something BIG a la TB.

Probably best for the next movie though if SPECTRE shows the birth of the organisation
Double Os not Double I'd...damn you predictive text lol

Now that would be something. Not much in the way of British Naval locations in the shooting schedule but you never know.

Why not go one further, have him work with his old 030 Special Forces Unit as part of a mission, including him donning the uniform...

Well my friend, I think another wish of yours may be fulfilled. From what I understand, filming begins tomorrow with...

Spoiler

My excitement has finally kicked in. The new James Bond film begins tomorrow. It's strange to think that Skyfall is not the latest Bond film anymore. It's the 'last one'.

Naomi Harris said something at the Spectre launch about

Spoiler

It would be great to see M. Q and Moneypenny tracking Bond at the start of Spectre. Finding out he's chasing up a mission or something. Would be a nice throwback to the "last leg" type scenarios.

If I'd been able to decide the plot, maybe this.

Bankers in the City of London and Wall Street have channelled billions of banks money into fake investments dependent on oil staying cheap, as it now is. They've given middle east terrorists the info to blow up the refineries of Saudi Arabia, so oil price will rocket, and banks will go bust. Then they reveal they have access to middle east sovereign funds, the managers of those funds being in league with them, so can save the worlds banking system. And they can reveal what oil facilities the terrorists are going to hit next. All they want in return is the democratic governments of the west to hand over government to them.

Has all the potential for essential Bond features. Super villain, who'd be a banker. Femme fatale, who'd be a sexy banker. Exotic locations, like Bond going to the middle east to battle terrorists, and  New York, London, to battle the bankers thugs. And a few high tech gadgets could be thrown in. Be right up to date, combining elements of the banking crisis of 2008 and Islamic terrorism.

Agreed. What was the mission Bond was given by M at the end of Skyfall?

How many of Bond's missions do we never get to see?

I'd like to see that type of pre-title sequence. Not connected to the main plot.

Paramiltary action scene

Using the real MI-6 headquarter again for the over view, not what was done at the very end of Skyall. Also what looks like the inside of MI-6 today from the movie world again.

The Gunbarrel at the start of the movie NOT at the End. Just because the movie industry are doing the opening credits at the end these days. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli don't have to do it that way or follow others in the business doing that.

The Bond theme inside the movie

Don't want a intro of Blofeld and Spectre all over again. It should be already be known who and what is Spectre, and that it should either still be run by Blofeld or someone new(like what John Gardner has done in his James Bond novels), IF Blofeld is not running Spectre anymore. Then there should be reference to him the from the new person in charge.

See the SPECTRE ring again on SPECTRE members

I could only see that happening when David Arnold was a composer but we shall see. I would love to see it return but I think they've all forgotten about it.
