The price drop, plus the death of the Kinect, plus new games including new exclusives, new Gold exclusives make the Xbox One totally worth buying, and that's not sarcasm. Will most likely get one in the summer with EA Sports UFC, as it isn't worth buying to play Titanfall.

Dropping Kinect might finally make me consider getting one, but still not until Quantum Break releases. At the moment, nothing on Xbox really appeals to me and I couldn't possibly care less about Titanfall. That said, PS4's library isn't the greatest either. While I like the thought of next-gen Infamous' and Killzones, neither console really has much to offer. 2015 will be big though, with (most likely), Batman: Arkham Knight, Uncharted 4, Quantum Break (hopefully, but I'm not holding my breath), Zelda Wii U, The Order: 1886, Bloodborne, Rise of the Tomb Raider and many more. While Driveclub, The Evil Within and Destiny all look great, I think I'll wait until 2015 to upgrade consoles, I'm content with my PS3 for awhile yet. And sorry Ace, but it'll be a Playstation 4 first.

EA Sports UFC - Xbox One - 8.510 - Developer: EA Canada - Publisher: EA Sports

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has made it's debut with EA Sports at the helm and the new UFC Team at EA Canada. This is the first game since UFC Undisputed 3 back in 2012, and the wait, for the most part was worth it. The decision to put it on the next generation of consoles was the right one. It was just meant to be, with the feel the fight mechanics and intuitive gameplay. Each fighter resembles their real life counterpart 100%. Cain Velasquez is simply overwhelming and terrifying, Alexander Gustafsson is dangerous standing on the feet, Chris Weidman is all about constant pressure, Robbie Lawler has his raw power and diverse striking with knees and kicks and punches, Georges St-Pierre has his undeniable strength, Anthony Pettis has his cage kick along with his unorthodox style of fighting, Frankie Edgar is fast and his movement is second to none, Urijah Faber is ready to take the fight anywhere, Demetrious Johnson is fast, strong, and powerful, and last but not least, the ladies. Ronda Rousey has her judo throws, Sara McMann has her powerful Olympic wrestling takedowns, and Cat Zingano has her vicious knees from the thai clinch. This is a game that gets the fighters and their backgrounds down for the better part. If you do Vitor Belfor vs. Lyoto Machida, Belfort will constantly be looking for the KO/TKO, while Machida will be looking for the mistake of his opponent only to capitalize with a powerful counter attack that will end the fight. Fighters have their walkout songs too. Anderson Silva has his trademark "Ain't No Sunshine" by DMX, Belfort has "300 Violin Orchestra" by Jorge Quintero, some fighters have completely different songs, which isn't bad, as GSP walks out to "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, Lyoto Machida has "Sail" by Awolnation. It would've been great to see Frankie Edgar walk out to "Kick In The Door" by The Notorious BIG, Rich Franklin with "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)" by AC/DC and others.

The Career mode is different than the previous games from THQ. This time around, you start off in the UFC's reality show, The Ultimate Fighter, making a stand to win the tournament and a six-figure contract. It makes things interesting as you begin your training at the TUF gym and eventually winning the show and fighting in the UFC. You start off fighting lower ranked fighters, before opening PPV with the first fight. After that you start working your way to the contendership of fighting for the UFC championship. Once you win that belt, it's all about defending it as much as possible and gt your spot in the Hall Of Fame alongside, Matt Hughes, Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, Stephan Bonnar, Forrest Griffin, Tito Ortiz, Charles Lewis, Frank Shamrock, Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, Mark Coleman, and the recent Pat Miletich. It's a great experience as you start with nothing with lower tier sponsors and work your way up to being a superstar.

The customization is pretty simple compared to the previous games, but in a good way. You have three types of shorts, Board Shorts, Vale Tudo compression, and Muay Thai, with up to five slots for your sponsors, as well as shirts an hats from leading MMA sponsors. It's simple, but effective. The tattoo selection is a lot like EA Sports MMA with pre-selected areas for your fighter. Throughout career you gain Evolution points which you can use to buy moves like the Junior Dos Santos spinning heel kick, the Anthony Pettis Showtime kick, the Capoeira kick, the GSP Superman punch, and the Lyoto Machida Crane Kick. Evolution Points can also upgrade your fighters attributes such as offense with knees, kicks, punches, and overall power, takedowns, and defense including your chin and body and limb health. You also can take damage too. Take too much and hour overall career damage meter could fill up faster than you expect it to, forcing you into an early retirement, so smart fighting is always key. The game teaches you that you can't just win every time by way of button mashing. You have to be calm, collective, and smart like a mixed martial artist if you want to be the best.

The cons.... Once you complete career mode and your fighter is essentially maxed out, you cannot use that fighter in Fight Now mode, forcing you to just go into Create A Fighter mode and recreate him and max everything out. It's a pain in the rear, but whatever. That leads me to say, that after completing career mode, there is no point in going through it a second time, it's just wasting your own time. Another aspect is the fact the game only allows you to have ten slots for a created fighter, which feels a bit cheated, consider Undisputed 3 had forty... Another is, if the game has female fighters, why can't we have created female fighters? I was looking forward to that, since I was going to re-create my favorite Female fighter, Jessica Eye since she was no included in the game. Maybe sequel will have this option. Another is the fact that the divisions are missing some fighters. I understand you can't have all 497 fighters, but Having Pascal Krauss over Hector Lombard and not even having UFC Bantamweight champion, TJ Dillashaw in the game, yet having Connor McGregor who only has two wins over lower tier fighters in the UFC is blasphemy. If the game has Chuck Liddell, Royce Gracie, and Forrest Griffin, why couldn't they just add in Matt Hughes.

Another is some fighters' stats are lower when they shouldn't be, and higher when they shouldn't be. Chris Weidman is undefeated and the current UFC Middleweight champion, he has never lost a round or been defeated in any style of fighting, why isn't his stats 100's across the board? Why is Anderson Silva better at Light heavyweight where he has only had three fights, when he dominated the middleweight division with ten title defenses for nearly 7 years? Why is Jon Jones more OP than he really is? This are all alarming questions, and I hope they do real time stat adjustments like THQ did. Another, certain fighters seem to have the same moves as others which can be painful to see, and the takedown animations are basic and flat. There is also lag issues online and slight frame rate drops during the gameplay.

All in all, EA Sports UFC is a triumph of a game, that really uses the next gen hardware properly and the results show. It's a great game to play with friends be it online or two player. It's a must have for major fans of the sports and for console owners period.

Leaked: next Call of Duty to return to WWII, tentatively titled Call of Duty: World at War II. If true, this might actually get me back into Call of Duty. WaW is, IMO, the second best CoD after CoD4 and after all of these mindless modern/futuristic shooters, I think a return to WW2 is just what we need. Adding fuel to the fire here is that on December 7, Treyarch, the developers behind 2015's CoD, linked to the wikipedia page about the Pearl Harbor attack. This would also make sense seeing as 2015 is the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.

Honestly, that's the last thing the franchise needs. WaW was a terrible entry. While it showed the horrors of WWII (Unlike COD 2) it still was far from being a completely, entertaining game. Advanced Warfare was actually a very well made entry by Sledgehammer Games, better than Ghosts. Should this rumor turn to be true, I won't be playing it. WWII games and even films have been done to death.

As for mindless/futuristic shooters, where else do you take the franchise? You can only stay afoot in a time period for so long before it becomes stale.

Well, I will admit that that was the reason they left WWII in the first place. However, look at the landscape since the release of WaW: Modern Warfare 2 and 3, Killzone 2 and 3, BF: Bad Company 1 and 2, Medal of Honor/Warfighter, Halo: Reach/4, Battlefield 3 and 4, Black Ops II, CoD: Ghosts, CoD: Advanced Warfare, Titanfall, Destiny, RAGE, Borderlands 2 etc. (excluded Black Ops 1 as it took place in the 60s). The only other memorable game set in WWII I can remember is Brothers in Arms: Hell´s Highway and that one released before WaW. Personally, I´m just burnt out on Modern/Futuristic shooters. Admittedly, I can´t comment on Advanced Warfare as I haven´t played it, but I really don´t have a huge desire to either.

On another note, why have we gotten 2 crappy Battlefield games as well as a franchise killing MoH entry, but still no Bad Company 3?

I'd love a return to the World War II era done correctly, it could be breath-taking and haunting at the same time. I'll keep on this one also.

Not surpised there. Also, Metal Gear Solid V to release September 1st. Again, it will be the final one in the series. Just like MGS4 and Peace Walker.

Seems like an odd way to end the series.  They've already ended the storyline with Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots, so why go back 31 years into the past for the final installment?  Either push forward with the storyline, since this is supposedly the "final" entry, or don't give it the title Metal Gear Solid V.

True.  Still, it seems odd that they'd tack the V onto it, as though it's following Metal Gear Solid IV.  I know they went back in time with Metal Gear Solid III, but it's not really all that unheard of for franchises to go the prequel route in a third outing.  I would think that if you were really going to "end" it, then why not push the story forward (even if it already once "concluded" with MGSIV) and really have that be it for the franchise, at least in terms of how the story ends under Kojima's tenure.

I do doubt, however, that this is the final Metal Gear installment.  It'll continue on at some point down the line with or without Kojima.

There is no way that Konami will let Metal Gear die. I believe a sequel to (the admittedly crap) Metal Gear Rising is in production. Also, technically this could actually be seen as MGS 6 or even 7 if you take into account that Peace Walker was originally going to have 5 in its title and forgetting the debate about Portable Ops' canonicity. That said, I wouldn't have minded if The Phantom Pain hadn't included the V, but honestly it doesn't really bother me.

I know the worldwide disdain for yearly installments, but I enjoy Call of Duty for what it is: a bit of fun with your friends with a nice little single-player campaign thrown in for free.

I don't have (much) of a problem with the yearly releases.  It's the garbage gameplay that I can't stand, and the fact that since it's become such a juggernaut, that everyone else copies it and makes their games into carbon copies of it.

I'd love it if Call of Duty just came to an end so that the rest of the gaming industry could move on to copying something better.

I'm well aware of that fact.

The Call of Duty franchise won't end for a good, long while.  As you said, it's made too much money.  The only real hope that exists is that perhaps they'll somehow stumble their way into making a game that's actually good.

I'd say they've had three really good games: the first Modern Warfare, World at War, and Black Ops. But, understandably, they aren't everyone's cup of tea. Those three are always worth a campaign replay for me.

I actually agree with tdalton on this one. I've wanted this series to die for awhile now. Through World at War, I loved Call of Duty. But since then, every CoD and pretty much every FPS has been nothing but a poor copy of the FIFA/Madden of shooters. Ghosts was the final straw for me. A terrible and dated looking game (even on PS3/360) and I haven't nor do I have any desire to play Advanced Warfare. However, Treyarch is by far the superior developer for CoD and I'm at the very least intrigued to see what a return to WWII will give us.

Because Activision is just going to stop a billion dollar game franchise. Yeah, okay.

I look at it this a step backwards, considering I feel World At War was a terrible installment. Sure it captured the real essence of what World War II was like, but the overall gameplay was not constructed well at all. Besides what else can they cover in World War II? They've spent about four or five games and covered about everything from major to minor aspects. Not to mention the story arc of World At War carries over to Black Ops, so I'm not sure what Treyarch is doing at all. Only reason I see this being done is so Treyarch and Activision can finally show World War II gameplay on next gen consoles.

Like most Call Of Duty games, I'll wait for the overall single player and multiplayer reveal to decide whether or not I would like to spend money on it. Advanced Warfare managed to be a well thought out game and pleasant surprise (Still haven't written my review for that!). Only thing I can think of is if Nazi Zombies makes a returns (not just Zombies, but Nazi Zombies) then I'll make a serious consideration.

Agreed on Advanced Warfare - thought it was a good surprise. And more Nazi Zombies always.
