Episode 7-This should take place 5-10 yrs after ROTJ. We should see the final stand of the Empire, and meet the woman who will marry Luke (I think Mara Jade). Luke has also started to train some Jedi to restart the order. At the end of the film, Han and Leia are married, the Jedi are heroes, and the Empire is defeated.
Episode 8-Takes place a couple years later. If you remember the prequel spoilers, the middle episode was to be an Indiana Jones type Star Wars adventure. In this case, Brakiss is trying to find some sort of artifact. In the meantime, Luke and Mara are starting to fall in love, while Leia is pregnant and about to give birth. Once Brakiss finds the artifact, he begins to turn to the Dark Side. Luke engages him in battle and is defeated, but not dead. Leia gives birth and Brakiss tries to start a massive insurrection
Episode 9-Takes place 2 yrs after Episode 8. Luke has recovered, but the Jedi are fighting Brakiss and the Republic as they are seen as outcasts and enemies of the state. Mara is pregnant, and Leia's child (or children, twins?) are safe. It is a sure bet that we will see a major character die-Han, Lando, Wedge, Chewbacca, all are fair game to die. Luke and Brakiss face each other a final time with Luke killing his former student. The film should end with the conflict resolved, the Jedi seen as heroes and Luke and Mara's child being born.
Episodes 10-12 should deal with the Solo and Skywalker children

The same writer who wrote "The Empire Strike Back" is back! I guess that make sense and don't mess with the formula.....should have kept him for prequel series

But financially, there were no repercussions. In fact, the prequels were so tremendously successful that they must have been laughing at all the internet grudgery all the way to the bank.
I do think, however, that they will try to make the new trilogy four-quadrant-films, appealing to everybody, even the aging fans of the original trilogy.

But I agree, Lucas knew his plan going back to 1999 and the truckloads of cash he made, and also a horde of new young fans to the series, is genius. Hopefully, this new trilogy (still feels strange writing that about Star Wars!), will appeal to the young and old fans to become something amazing!

Not sure exactly how I feel about the Disney folks continuing THE ACTUAL Star Wars saga...
I'm actually kind of worried.

Disney also owns Marvel, and they've done a great job with that brand so far.

Although it’s been less than a month since we heard a new Star Wars trilogy is being set into motion, it’s been a whirlwind of rumors with a few brief glimpses of the truth. This month we got aconfirmed writer for Star Wars: Episode VII with Michael Arndt and tonight it looks like we have our strongest inclination yet for who will be stepping behind the camera. The first of the rumored names for the directing gig may turn out to be true, as new evidence of Matthew Vaughn helming has cropped up.
Appearing at the UK premiere of Seven Psychopaths, actor Jason Flemyng opened up aboutStar Wars and after making a joke, the actor (who has worked on nine films with Vaughn) seemed like a deer in the headlights when he just about confirmed Vaughn was directing, before attempting to cover up his response. It’s no press release from Disney, but it surely makes a strong case. HeyUGuys captured the video and you can see the Star Wars talk begin around 1:11 below.
It does not seem it confirm yet and we can rule him out for Bond 24
