Speaking of deleted scenes, there was the image of Severine walking in the airport with her guards, but It was nowhere in the film.

Yeah, handing over the briefcase to Patrice. That would have been seconds I imagine?

Still, I liked the way Severine came into the film - he eminated more mystery and seduction about her, and she cut a fine figure.

I agree, thecasinoroyale. I like her introduction as it is now. Very mysterious and intriguing. I imagine the airport scene was cut just for pacing, and perhaps for the best.

She has such an incredibly pretty face and a voluptuous, callipygian figure to match but we also should give so much credit to her performance. Her role was briefer than expected but she really added classic femme fatale mannerisms and a darkly desperation to her character's tone that added mystery and tragedy to Severine that another actor might not have been able to pull off.

Heartily agree Kincade, such a shame her time was cut short as she could have been even more magnificent. A real treat, but a big shame we lost her.

I was totally unprepared for this beautiful and enigmatic character. So much of SKYFALL that was different and unexpected explains why Daniel Craig stated that it is going to be a "Classic Bond Movie with a Capital B". And Berenice Marlowe's Severine is further proof of that..

I admit, I had a difficult time, wrapping my head around her demise, so quickly after her introduction to the film. It wasn't because she'd been killed off in the film. Several beautiful allies of Bond had met their respective ends prematurely (Aki; Plenty O'Toole; Corrine Dufour; Countess Lisl von Sclaf; Paris Carver; Solange Demetrios; Agent Strawberry Fields... just to name a few).

But the manner in which she died, so brutally, and in Bond's presence, I felt, was a very "Not-Bond" thing to do. It was as if her fate was sealed and Bond hadn't lifted a finger to save her (only to quip about wasted Scotch). Bond... the same man who, in only 2 films before, desperately tried to save the life of Vesper who flat out betrayed him. I do not know to where the writers are taking OO7 but I think they're beginning to cast away, piece by piece, the veneer of the English Gentleman we've come to admire for the past 50 years.
