So, it's both Bond's ancestral town and Fleming's ancestral home? Continuity-gasm! :-D

I hope Bonds parents get involved. It would be something we've never seen before.

Indeed it would...considering that they both died in a rock climbing accident, leaving James Bond orphaned..lol! (Sorry, just being a smartass! LOL)

I don't think it was ever actually confirmed that the manor house would be a part of the Bond family. And I don't see why a set builder would know this. He could have easily picked it up from Patricia Malcolm in Duntrune, who said that she thought the house was Bond's ancestoral home.

When set construction takes place and builders are hired, they all talk, just like anyone else does during their work, so it is more than likely the local builders, hired to help out, would hear whispers and chat from the Skyfall Art Department about what they are helping construct and what it is in relation to the film.

Another possibility is that the set builder Googled 'James Bond' and 'Glencoe', and that was the conclusion he came up with. Having said that, it's certainly feasible that it could be Andrew Bond's old house.

That old Scot they interviewed does not strike me as someone who surfs the net. And up there, broadband or mobile signals are not exactly up to speed, believe me, I did an ad up there last year. Spectacular scenery. Bloody windy. No signal on our phones at all.

But I bet a lot of the people he’s being chatting with over the last few days do.

Is it meant to make that sort of a sound, or is the car a bit too heavy for the loader thingy?

I was thinking that, too! They'll probably just edit in general traffic sounds, and if M and Tanner are talking, they'll just redub their lines. Does seem a bit strange, though.

Definitely think there is something wrong with that trailer hitch..the car is riding WAY too low, hence it scraping on the ground. If you look at the video Luigi posted above this one, the rig is travelling normally.

One observation is that a microphone is being used next to the car at the start of the clip - could it be that it's SFX sound and smoke - perhaps the tyres are supposed to blow or be shot? All speculation

Good speculation, though.

Definitely see the rear right corner of the trailer scraping on the ground, and I even thought I could see some smoke as a result of it.. Also it looks like "Cut" was called when the rig was barely 50 plus yards up the street, so it looks like they realized somethiing was wrong.

Time to adjust the sled. I imagine they are keeping low so that it matches with the other vehicles. Why not just tow the Jag on it's own? Still, great footage.

Yes, on reflection this could be entirely the case; good thinking.

Anyone here notice that there is a news reporter sort of car in each video?

i agree. the car was only moving for 25 seconds, not much time for dialog. i don't think it would look good on the production team/company if they were taring up the road.

good point

you mean the black van right? i didn't notice it until you pointed it out. i only noticed it in the second video and was wondering what is the point of it. could that by the documentary crew?

The point of a low loader is that it's already low enough. I'm only guessing but it looks like its tyre might gone flat there.

The comment of the author clears up every doubt:
"In the car was Judi Dench with another guy I couldn't recognise... Something went wrong with the trailer so they had to stop and start again".

Nice find Luigi! Well, I'm glad we got that sorted out.. It was actually quite funny to see the trailer malfunction and go dragging down the street...very un-Bond like! LOL
