AWESOME! It's hard to notice but this confirms that the excavator will be used.
Thanks, Shrublands.

So, a cafe scene, to a car chase, to the shoot out in the market, then a bike chase over roof tops, to the train and then the train scene up until the bridge.
Does any one else think this opening might be longer then the one in TWINE? Seems like a lot to fit into 15 minutes doesn't it?
Indeed. I'd say 10 minutes by the sounds of things.
Also, are we to understand Bond falls off from the bridge?
My speculation (based on a recent revealed site) is that Bond falls of the train from the bridge - into a river and then over some waterfalls. The waterfalls will melt into the opening credits. All speculation. But pretty spectacular to visualize.

Agreed. I understand that's how the sequence pans out. Plus, as Luigi has pointed out, that adds yet another meaning for "Skyfall".

I wonder if they will have a camera that shoot directly at the cafe by opening in a circle like and expand into full screen with Bond music in the background!!!!!!
I'd certainly hope so, the gunbarrel has certain rules not to be broken!

The feature is from last night’s Newsnight – here is a link to the whole program, it’s towards the end and has an in-studio discussion about Bond’s lasting appeal too.

Are Severine and Eve going to be in the pre-title sequence? I thought someone said they were? Can anyone "confirm"?
Eve certainly is. Severine, not as far as I know.

Thanks, guys. My feeling is that the first we see of Severine will be at Shanghai Intl Airport coming down the escalator. Ya think?
Yes, that's what I think too.

I think she could well be in it. In the cafe scene, and maybe on the train, as well.
As I understand it, there is not a scene set in a cafe at the start. The room with the body in the chair may be upstairs from a cafe, but that’s the extent of it.

Agreed, I suspect the opening shot of the film is a silhouetted figure coming through a narrow door, and advancing, back-lit, down the dark corridor and Bond's face emerges from the shadows. A classic and memorable Bond reveal, mirroring Connery emerging from the darkness in FRWL. This shot is in the teaser trailer.
Then, Bond enters the shadowy room - poss flat or hotel room above Turkish bar or cafe - and finds the man "dead" in the chair. This is the flash-cut in the teaser trailer after Bond is asked about "Skyfall?" - The interior set design and lighting match in these two shots, and look like Turkey to me. So I think those are the first 2 scenes, and then in Sc3. Bond hurriedly leaves the building and jumps in the land-rover driven by Eve.
