I'm hoping to high hell that this is isn't an IMAX exclusive. I'm seeing The Dark Knight Rises tomorrow night, and i'm sorry, but a Bond exclusive trailer in the cinema would be brilliant, without seeing it online first.

Awesome news Zen. Hoping to see some Turkey in the trailer. Did it over spoil anything? not asking for the contents, just asking if it tells too much.

Lots of Turkey shots. I'm pretty sure it reveals exactly how the PTS ends. The trailer tells us A LOT. A lot of the set-up. I feel like I now know the first 20 mins or so of the movie. I haven't been following spoilers so I don't know what will be new to people. I don't feel spoiled, but I don't want any more. I'm ready for the movie.

I get a sense from the trailer that this movie is sort of spiritual adaptation of Fleming's You Only Live Twice novel in the way that DAD was an adaptation of Fleming's Moonraker.

But maybe people already know this. Like I said, I haven't been following plot leaks.

Won't be able to report until it's done, so about 9:30 EST. I'm not getting my hopes up. It's a closed corporate screening, and from what I understand, they can request trailers vs. no trailers specific as to how they'd like the presentation done. I'm guessing they go straight to feature.

That's good. One of my concerns was that they might revert to the silly nineties-era trend of minimizing the villain in order not to "overshadow" Bond.

Just talked to the manager of my local theater. They DID receive the new Skyfall promo, in IMAX, and plan to run it in front of their general TDKR screenings starting tomorrow. Unfortunately, they won't be showing it in front of the corporate one I'm seeing tonight.

So, good news and bad news. I guess I have to buy a ticket for Friday now.

Sounds like you got an early look at the theatrical trailer Zen, lucky SOB! I'll bet we won't see it until we get closer to the release of Total Recall. I sincerely doubt Universal will allow the attachment of a Skyfall trailer to the Bourne Legacy, but you never know. Total Recall is a safe bet all the same.

We are clearly talking about two different trailers here.
The IMAX 3min trailer shown at Comic Con (this is also the one that will be shown before IMAX screens of TDKR) and a new theatrical trailer, the one that Zencat has seen.


One more question Zencat - In the trailer, when you see Silva with blond hair, is he in the police uniform?

I agree with you Shrublands. I think there's two separated trailers, because the Comic Con one the only dialogue was Mallory and M, Q and Bond. And if I remember correctly when the trailer was shown in Germany a month ago, it looks like the SKYFALL logo reveal was with Bond walking like in the Poster.

By the way, I think Athena saw the Comic Con trailer.

I suppose she is sometimes, but I haven´t seen her lately. Maybe she has her Tardis parked in a different dimension I, for one, miss her and the old gang. Lucky her, about the trailer. She´s been doing some amazing stuff at the conventions, right?

Do you suppose we´ll be reading some reactions soon after people start seeing TDKR on IMAX? Can´t wait.
