If it is playing before TDKR then we`ll be getting a trailer hopefully online right? Unless they don't want it online?

Exactly, but I think they'll know that if they try to keep it off the internet, bootleggers will try their hardest to record it illegally and put it into the public domain. As a result, I'd expect an online release of the trailer at some point in the next few weeks, perhaps as soon as next week, but I'm obviously only speculating.

The main thing we need to find out first is whether this is intended only as an IMAX exclusive or whether it will ultimately gain general release as well.

I remember the Inception trailer was shown before Inglorious Basterds and didn't appear online for a week. I'm suspecting this could be the case with the IMAX Skyfall trailer.

Oh, well that's a bit dissapointing. I was hoping for a massive Bond theme comeback. I think this new trailer would be time to put it in, make a stance and say Bond is back.

Ok, here´s a question: You were here back in the old days. So was I and a few more guys. We´ve been reacting to trailers online since probably 99, right? How would you say this one ranks with all the other Bond trailers through Cbn years? Just a quick poll, 0-10?

Quick followup: this may have been discussed already, but the Alberta Film Ratings site that classified the "Domestic Skyfall IMAX trailer #1" actually lists its running time as 2:30, and not 3:01 like the British one did. That could easily be a conventional theatrical trailer running time, and might certainly be the version we'll be seeing in front of select TDKR IMAX screenings as of Friday.

That’s been clarified elsewhere, it seems to be a mistake, they listed the teaser as 2.30 too.
The BBFC have the correct running time.
