I think Bond is talking to Mallory (Fiennes) when he says "Some men are coming to kill us..."

It makes sense of the pictures with Bond next to the bullet hole (same suit) aiming his pistol to our left, and Mallory aiming his gun, aiming to our right. What men, and why, I can't wait to find out!

I think that it might be two different (but similar looking) sets - Bond firing his gun inside the Whitehall office building during the inquiry; Bond speaking to M and Kincade inside Skyfall Lodge.

Indeed. Definitely appears to be the lodge. I really can't wait to see this.

Ohh the excitement! Love how nothing is as clear as we think!

And I STILL think the best bit is Bond's reaction to "Skyfall"...I love that moment and the music used. Craig is such a bloody good actor without even speaking!!

I was also wondering about the body in the chair. Not sure who it could be at the moment. Need to study it a bit more closely.

Could it be a flashback to something that happened previously at Skyfall Lodge?

Possibly, although I'm not sure the set dressing matches what we think the Lodge looks like. Given its placement in the trailer, I think it's intended to suggest that it refers to "Skyfall", but that could be misdirection. The man in the chair (not Tanner, I don't think) is dressed quite similarly to Bond, so perhaps he's another MI6 agent, who has just been found dead... It would make sense that this comes quite early in the film, I'd guess.

Maybe it's when Bond storms the Whitehall building? Silva's already got to the man before Bond.

Since it's cut with the 'Skyfall" question, my guess is that it's one of the men linked to the operation. Silva's picking them off one by one.

There is an unfinished drink and an overturned lamp on the table beside the chair at the far right of the frame. Looks like someone else was sitting in the room recently. Silva? The man with the gun? Someone else? Questions, questions...

Am I seeing things or does there appear to the the white handle of a knife protruding from the stomach of the guy slumped in the chair?

And notice the glimpse of Eve's Land Rover visible just behind the Beetle being thrown off the train.

Finally, I think there's a bit of sly humor in the fact that the Tube train being dropped through the tunnel floor has a sign reading, "Not In Service."

0:23 Considering the target, I don't think those are missed shots, they look more like pre-existing markers of body joints and critical mass targeting points.

0:30 Body in chair, don't see any knife, probably shot.

0:43 Singapore water shot (red/gold) is a very nostalgic scene, classic Bond in tux, very '60's.

1:15 The cave/explosion shot makes me think it is an escape tunnel at the lodge.

Thanks for that Luigi!

Shame she isn't allowed to tell us anything of significance, a lot of talk about how 'charismatic' Bond and Silva are, and how Severine is 'enigmatic'. The only thing i found interesting is that she said she has quite a few scenes with Silva.

Not sure if anyone floated this theory yet, but in the shot of someone from behind walking up to the burning lodge, it looks like Eve - judging by the hair?

And in the shot of Severine standing at her window in Shanghai. It looks like the windows are open and she is staring right at Bond. Kinky! The hunter becomes the hunted.

It actually looks like the windows are smashed. Check out the bottom of the window frame.

Many people believe the person walking towards Skyfall lodge burning is in fact Silva.

I made that assumption, mainly because of the hairstyle. And isn't he walking away from the conflagration?

Away, towards, you're right, we don't know that yet. And as for the hairstyle, well we haven't really seen many pictures of Bardem as Silva. One if I remember correctly, and he was wearing a hat.

Looks like hes walking away from the burning house - i say that because of the collar of his coat, looks like hes facing the camera rather than walking away from it
And what a fantastic trailer... Not even the slightest dissapointment with anything in it, not to mention it visually looks amazing

Just seen it. Nice. Very nice. But its pretty much more of the same. I was hoping for a little more charm. Its all rather dark and bleak. I was more impressed with QoS teaser (not to mention blown away by the French dubbed CR teaser I saw!) than I am this one. But I guess its just a teaser with only Craig and his evaluater having any dialogue.

My main concern is are they selling us a dark film or will they sprinkle all the ingredients that made CR so great? Craig is a great Bond and showcased that he is capable of charm in CR, especially the second half. If he nails that in this one....throughout the movie.....he will be certified better than Connery in my book, something I never thought I would say. But the teaser doesn't scream Bond with a capital B to me. It just looks like a Dark Knight/Tinker Tailor/Bourne (sorry, but it does) concoction to me, which by now is getting rather boring.

Only two teasers over the last 20 years have had me feeling meh, DAD and SF, which doesn't bode well for me, as I like to think I'm a good judge of movies by their trailers.QoS is the only one where that fooled me. But at the same time I think I'm reading too much into just over a minute and few seconds of footage. I'll wait for the full theatrical before reaching a final conclusion. Nonetheless, CR teaser is still the only one that screams BOND with a capital...everything to me!!!!

I don't think anyone can judge the quality of a film from a trailer (certainly not from a 00:01:14 teaser) and definitely not one such as this that features so little dialogue and reveals virtually none of the plot. As for the tone; there's no way they're going to make a film as moody and downbeat as QOS again at this juncture.

This is also just a taster at the beginning of a gradual campaign that will be huge by the years end (Bond will everywhere come October/November) and they don't want to blow their load too soon - I expect the full trailer will be much bigger and "THIS IS BOND" in style. The CR teaser was serving a different purpose in that Bond had become a rather tarnished brand and early press reaction hadn't been positive toward Daniel Craig - it had to be a statement of intent and shake people up; that approach isn't necassary here.

The trailer does look a little like The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises but from what I've read in these forums the trailers are made by a different company and not the film makers. So if the trailer was made by the same people who made the Batman and other trailers then it only makes sense that they would look and feel some what similar.

I can't imagine a Bond film with flashbacks but I could see this Bond played by DC waking up from a nightmare.

Like that idea! Bring some hard-edged Dalton nods back for Craig!

Have to say the whole sequences with Bond and Patrice seem to be very tense, this could be a gret scene(s)...especially if that's the poor chap being thrown from the Shanghai building and falling to his death...brutal, yet beautifully shot.

I'm wondering if Bond was suppose to let Severine get shot by the sniper however has a change of heart when he sees it is a beautiful woman, kind of like in TLD.

It could play well with Bond being conflicted about his duty.

And why does Bond feel the need to stop Patrice in what he's doing...as in, does he have links to Severine before he gets to Shanghai, almost like a protector?

What IS his motive for tracking him down, and if Patrice takes the sniper rifle from the case Severine hands him in the Airport, why does he then turn on her and want to kill her?
