You've left me hanging - I'm looking forward to chapter 10 so I can see how Bond gets out of this situation!

I'm assuming from the big gap between chapters that you're working on something of your own with which to dazzle the wider world? I hope so.
Actually I'd love to think that the time taken between chapters is a result of you spending month after agonising month carefully crafting every syllable of JAK but I doubt that's the case. You're obviously having great fun writing this.
I hope your ascent to literary stardom comes after you finish JAK.

This is quite easily the best thing on these pages and, frankly, shouldn't really be here. It's like finding Orson Welles or Marlon Brando in a Michael Winner movie. JAK deserves so much more.

That's extremely kind, thank you.

Yes, but that's in an even more fledgling state.

So did you send your famous IAN FLEMING- TYPE J.A.K to C.B.N IM CLUELESS
Probably.
For those persisting with this rubbish, I am tinkering with ch.10 now. "Colossal amounts of exposition" seems to be the idea.

I am (the?) one awaiting the completed article before going back into this. The wait left me and the story stranded. Adrift.

Again I must give all the praise possible to Jacques for his continued brilliance. One hopes a certain Mr Faulks

While I realise there is probably no credible association to be made between how many chapters are likely to be left to create, and how many months and years it will take to get to the end of this creation, is there a rough 'anything' one can offer as to when this occasion will arrive?
Still awaiting the end before starting again, you see.

[mra]There will be fourteen chapters, so I

It's going to cost me to bind this great piece of work but I am going to book form it complete with paperback cover and put it with the rest of my Fleming, Gardner, Benson, Faulks and Pearson novels. I mean, heck, this isn't fanfic - this is the bloody real thing!
CHAPTER 11 PLEASE AND MAKE IT FAST !!!
That's very kind.
I suspect that chapter 11 will be as slow as the rest, though. Am diddling about with it at the moment.
Jim, have you already any rough idea what kind of size JAK will finally be?
Easily 500 pages of unmitigated nonsense.

Absolutely terrific!
I just wish you'd already have the thing ready in some drawer.
Don't you dare checking out before you've finished and posted it here!
Avoid airplanes! If you absolutely do have to fly, take Qantas Airways, Finnair, Cathay Pacific, El Al (Who'd have thought that? Anyway, take them!) and All Nippon Airways.
Avoid ocean liners, especially White Star Line! More especially Olympic class liners! Better don't cross any oceans at all!
Drive (if you drive) only if you absolutely have to! And if so, for Christ's sake drive carefully!
And please take especial care whenever leaving the house. Better don't leave it at all, that's safer.
Stay in bed. No, better still, stay in your study (or wherever you're writing usually).
And write it!!!

Except for us guys on CBn, of course.
