"He also will drink vodka martini in the movie" This should shut some people up.

It should, but will it?

Yeah, I was a little surprised anyone thought that he wouldn't. The news outlets made it sounds as though the only beverage Bond would have in Skyfall would be the beer. Bit ridiculous really.

To answer your question Ourumov, it seems like it the trailer was shown to those in attendance at the Cancun Film Festival, the contents of which are on lock down. We won't see or hear any more about it, but it's good to know some people out there have seen it.

I seem to remember this happening with previous movies too when product placement was mentioned - papers say that he would be dropping a Bond staple for this new product - Many of which had been used in Bond films before - like said lager brand.

They say this kind of [censored] every. single. time. And it's always almost nothing. DAD was supposed to be one of the heaviest product placed-Bond films in history, and I cannot recall a single moment of it jumping out and removing me from the film.

Ridiculous. But the media need something to write about.

It annoys me that he has to drink vodka martini, which is (let's be honest) a pretty dated drink. Very seventies. People drink all sorts of crap these days, and there's very little sense of "masculinity" or "fashion" attached to any given beverage. Here in the US, guys drink anything that gets them drunk. I figure it's the same in other countries. Bond should drink a relatively expensive and sophisticated beverage, but it needn't be precisely the same thing he's always had.

Craig not Bond... Those were the days, eh?

Was amazed to discover recently that site's still going and posting occasional updates. Some people really have too much spare time.

Anyway, back to the task in hand.

Yeah, I had no idea that Craignotbond was still updating. I've given it a look, and it seems to be a troll repository.

Forget my earlier post, Matt. I'm a bit drunk and it turns out only one person said they though it was coming out in the next week.

General consensus is that it's being attached to MIB 3, which we already knew. Who knows, might be leaked before then though...

Well, that's natural. They parasitize Bond fandom. Their traffic swells when there's more to discuss.

I'm sure someone who was in Mexico today and saw the trailer, took a picture or recorded somehow. Let's wait and see when will pop up to us.

No reason to disbelieve it.

But: Gareth?

Gareth Mallory was listed on the leaked cast list, so that one checks out!

Oh I'm sure it's correct; it's just that.... Gareth? Gareth?!

I absolutely agree. Would love to know where the writers plucked that one from.

What is the name of this film festival? I am in Mexico but after a few minutes of Googling, can't find any such festival going on in Cancun right now.

Guys, I'm starting to think this is NOT legit. The only film festival in Cancun that I can locate happened LAST month, and wasn't really a big event.

I am currently in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and nobody knows anything about a film festival up the road in Cancun -- let alone a screening of MIB or the Bond trailer.

So, it's either the least publicized film festival in history, or complete crap. Anybody have more event details?

"Summer of Sony" is the name of the event. It is in Cancun.

Yeah, it's Sony-specific. That's why MIB is there and why Skyfall would have been featured. Not a festival.

First time I've heard of this thing too. II thought it was odd that a full blown film festival was taking place there and none of us movie buffs had heard of it. Oh well, we'll see it soon enough.

"This means that Bond will have to drink a beer for the first time on film, much to the dismay of hardcore fans."

Certainly Bond and Felix shared a beer in Quantum, no?

Don't forget the Budweiser in LTK.

Yes good point. And in both films, it makes sense -- sometimes Bond needs to blend in, and ordering a martini in a low-life bar is sure to grab unwanted attention.

Hmm...don't like that line about "...a thirst for revenge..."....are we going to see 'rogue' Bond again, the 'loose cannon' as hinted before and in 'Licence To Kill'?

They were great of course, but I am hoping that's just a general term for how he feels, but he will operate within MI6 boundaries and be able to hold himself back at times like our man should!

But this is very interesting and exciting to read about....so it means there IS an Operation : Skyfall - so is this also the name of the Lodge? A bit convenient if it is...it can't be both names, can it?

Ooh the excitement!

Since the personal angle seems to be so integral to the whole story Bond will definitely be out for revenge, one way or the other.

Well, maybe with Bond 24 we can get back to "just a guy on a mission".

True, I was just wishing he was more a 'man on a mission' rather than "motivated by revenge..." "...don't care who you hurt..." ...you're man is a loose cannon..." approach to him, making him always seem he's a mental secret agent!

Well I have faith anyway in the team for 'Skyfall', so not really too worried.

Plus after having a vodka martini in dubai they taste like p*ss so it be good to see him have few beers, maybe even get smashed.
