What I like: the gun barrel and Craig coming through directly at us.

What I like: the black/white graphics are simple and retro, promising IMO really something very classically Bondian.

What I don´t like: nothing, really. I expected something more flashy but I´m glad it isn´t.

What I don´t like: it cannot surpass the CASINO ROYALE teaser.

I love the fact there's no tacky tagline, but love the gunbarrel...very Bond, and a very nice homage of the whole 50 years with that classic iconography!

Looks a little fan arty though doesn't it? Not an awful thing and I still love it but nothing incredibly film related or unique about it is there?

I have to say my expectations were very high. A bit of a let-down. It looks good though.

It gets the job done, but not much more. Big plus for the Binder-style gunbarrel but it all looks a tad too simplistic and colorless.

Jeez!! What a disappointing poster!! Ok, so it's only a teaser, which makes sense that it wouldn't reveal much about the film, but I was expecting more..Meh..I hope that the final poster blows us away..

I don't know what some of us were expecting. They said it was going to be a teaser poster, not the poster. We're lucky it even includes an image of Bond. Compared to previous teaser posters, it's very striking and effective. The gunbarrel is just about the most visually distinctive hallmark of the series, so it's the perfect eye-catching thing to put on a poster. And the barrel does look painted. I find it somewhat hard to believe that it actually is painted, but if it's software-created, they've used a hell of a nice oil-paint filter.

I think it's perfect. Simple yet powerful. My initial reaction was one of slight disappointment but only because my expectations were so high. Over the last 15 minutes it's already grown to be my second favourite Bond poster (next to CR's teaser). And on closer inspection, the Gunbarrel looks like a tunnel... the London Underground perhaps?

On second glance I like that what he's walking through isn't just a gunbarrel but also a tunnel (the Underground perhaps?)

It's alright. The gunbarrel's good. The picture of Craig's a bit mundane, but it does the job.

The letdown 'fan-art' reaction was indeed my own for about 10 seconds. But the more I think about it, the more perfect this poster is. This isn't just a Skyfall poster. It's an anniversary poster, and perhaps the ultimate one.

Thinking about it in retrospect, I'm not sure what else the image could have been. It doesn't top CR's for fresh awesomeness, but in many ways, this is the ultimate iconic James Bond teaser poster.

And what a hilarious Photoshop opportunity.

Looks like a confirmation that Eon knows fans feelings about the Gunbarrel. Hope this means it'll be fronting the movie.

An elegant and stylish poster

It doesn't even need a tagline - the image itself says 'out of the past...'

Good catch about the likelihood of the gunbarrel intro being back in its proper place, JCR.

What I love is what it implies. 007 is going to visit is "cave". See the heroes journey book or wiki if you don't get it.

Nice gun barrel design, but the suit's too small. Preferred the cut he wore in the Istanbul shoot.

Its good, very slick and simple. It's a teaser after all. If you look at the insanely high resolution one iexpectu2die provided, and zoom in on Bond's face it looks like he's about to cry haha.

Now for the trailer on Monday...

Love it. It's perfectly iconic and speaks beyond the film to the 50th anniversary. In that regard it makes a timeless statement. Simple and elegant.

That was my exact thought when I first saw the poster.

SkyFall hasn't really been on my radar so far, and this poster hasn't done anything to change that.

I like how Bond appears to be walking down a defined path, from outside the gunbarrel to in. Could be massively symbolic of stuff to do with Bond's "journey" over 50 years; or it could just be a picture of a bloke in a suit against a gunbarrel. It's a nice image either way, but nothing I haven't seen before on annuals, compilation albums, etc.

This poster works effectively. It doesn't need tagline as some on here have already mentioned, It just says it all. This is Bond, This is 50 Years. This is Skyfall. Hell I love this poster so much, I'd actually be happy if EON decided to keep it as the permanent poster for the film. I think I may be adding a new poster on the wall soon enough!

This poster brought more joy to me than the new Prometheus poster. I missed class and stayed home for this, and it was worth it.
