Arrested for what precisely though?

What would have been the charges? Is it not public property of sorts where dog walkers can enjoy the countrside and take photos? Your blog would seem to indicate that this has been perfectly acceptable? So is it the Bond set, which is on public property, or your photographing on some MOD land?

I'm guessing that the problem was trespassing. Lucy's blogs make it pretty clear that she got close enough to talk to members of the production crew, and to take close-up shots of the sets. If that land was owned by the MOD, then they could make a case for trespass.

Photos of the lodge, Daniel, and the DB5 from a distance was probably ok. But those close-ups of the tombstones. BIG spoiler. I can see how Eon would be pissed.

It would appear that Bond's parents/heritage was intended to be the big secret of SKYFALL. No wonder that EON flipped when that got out.

I'll be interested to see how SKYFALL's use of that material differs from CARTE BLANCHE.

Hi Harms. Long time no see/read. How are things on the western world? Listen/read, I never got the chance/inclination to read Carte Blanche. Seeing this is a spoiler section regarding Skyfall, could you explain to me what material do you speak/write about? Maybe a short PM? I got quite curious with that one. Sorry for the trouble old friend. Good seeing/reading you, as always. Cheers.

Captain it's MoD land but with public access. Military byelaws apply. I've updated my post with more details here

A very questionable interpretation of the military bylaw on their behalf, in my opinion. Sorry again to hear.

Thanks for posting your newest photo. That's a whole lot of fake snow!

Isn't that an old photo, from when the house was under construction and there was real snow on the ground?

Recent photos suggest there is no snow, but I think Lucy spoke of helping out with the fake snow, so...I guess there will be snow. (if it wasn´t Lucy, maybe it was some twitter comment from someone else, but I can´t remeber who).

How are things on the western world?

Not quite completely dead, but pretty dead. I might retire the blog wholesale pretty soon and just move on to other things.

Seeing this is a spoiler section regarding Skyfall, could you explain to me what material do you speak/write about?

In CARTE BLANCHE, it turns out that Bond's parents were, in their own way, tangled up in the spy game. It's admittedly rather lame. SKYFALL has entangled Bond's ancestors up into the story somehow, too, and I'm curious as to whether that means Mommy and Daddy Bond were also secret agents.

That's certainly not a garage worthy of such a luxurious car, but if you consider what 's the fate it's going to meet... ;-)

Oh dear - it is a perverse thing how this publicity machine works.

They want free advertising, but only according to their timetable. They need to advertise Bond's familial home storyline to their prospective audience, but only according to when they feel it would benefit and not harm.

That's not a bad thing; it is, after all, theirs to decide what to do with.

Anyhow; a mate of mine was down there this weekend; saw the DB5, helicopter etc.

I'm not saying it is bad, just perverse how it works to everyone's level of interest. Both Eon's and the casual observer.

If the decision was to be retained as 'solely Theirs', then they would end up in paying for all publicity through marketing and advertsining.

That there is already interest to generate the advertising cost-free is great but does come with various cons in terms of the potential for adverse timing. How that is handled then becomes key.

Still, I am sure they are doing their best. I just think 'arrests' on this accasion is perhaps heavy handed when the advertising has again, been so positive.

Yes indeed; and don't forget that a lot of stuff that appears to be free advertising is something they've paid for: word-of-mouth gets seeded by people paid by the company, TV shows that cover the premiere have to have a big, expensive premiere to cover and supplied with footage and publicity materials etc.
It's their party, it's up to them how they handle it ultimately; and as we don't know the script we don't even know if we've seen something that spoils the plot massively. Maybe the whole film hinges on how many stags are on the gatepost! :)

Not unless you have a source (and the call sheets posted by Marketto don't count - there is no proof inside the call sheet itself that it is the real thing).

Not even being contacted by EON (via Sony Pictures) to remove the article from my site?

No. They can't be proven to be real. Even if EON asked you to take them down, a case could be made for the call sheets being fakes and EON wanting to prevent a false representation of the film from being created. After all, Jelena Mihailovic did exactly what when she said the film would be an adaptation of CARTE BLANCHE, and that she would be scoring the film and writing the theme. The story went viral and was reported by a dozen reputable sources, forcing EON to issue a denial. So the case could be made that EON asked you to take that information down because it was not real.

Do we have any idea of how the helicopter scene is going to play out? Is it attacking or protecting?
