Well worth the investment, if you are into your films.

You mean the Bond 50 set? There's a DVD version of it too, but if you already have the Ultimate Editions from 2006 it wouldn't be worth it because it'd be the same transfers (and possibly missing the special features like the current single disc DVD releases).I wish they made it so it didn't have to be on Blu Ray. I don't have Blu Ray.
Shaun Forever is right though, the upgrade to Blu-ray is worth it.

Don't know why it's so expensive in America though? It's only $80 (£49.99), not $199.
Funny thought about the sleeve left open for the 'Skyfall' Blu Ray...does this mean we're expected to pay good money for a Blu Ray copy in a case, and then just throw it in the bin to use the sleeve in the set instead?
That's ridiculous.

Time to invest in one I think Iceskater, if you don't mind me asking, do you currently own a HD television?

well at my house no.. our TV's are from 1997 or maybe even earlier... Lol.
and I don't have a TV in my dorm and I think a bluray player is really expensive for a college student.

Blu-Ray players aren't that expensive anymore. I saw one the other day for 48 euro's(60 dollar). But you HAVE to have a FULLHD-tv, if you don't you can't notice any difference between DVD and Blu-Ray.
So you need:
- HD-TV (Full HD, the bigger the better)
- HDMI cable
- Blu-Ray player
But that can be very expensive.
On topic: The Blu-Rays look fabulous, altough GoldenEye and Live and Let Die don't look that great.

Have a chance to someone make a picture from the individual blu-rays back cover art? I am very interested in the back design. All of them. Thanks in advance.

I too had the VHS and the original DVDs but skipped the UE DVDs so these Blu Rays were knock-your-socks-off good. After owning the VHS and DVD collections, I recently upgraded and baught the Bond 50 collection on bluray and it is incredible, even the Connery films have never looked as good, recommend it for any Bond fan!

Yes, it will probably cost you 300 for the TV, 80 for the player, and 15 for the hdmi cable. To rich for my taste eh.

I never realised that Connery had a tatto on his right forearm until I saw these films on BluRay!

Same here. Can't believe I never noticed it before because it is blindingly obvious in several of his films, at least on Blu-ray.

Albert R. Broccoli presents Roger Moore in Ian Fleming's James Bond 007 in For Your Eyes Only.
The 'in' is twice. It's such a minor typo that now it actually bothers me and I can't help but notice it. Dammit!

I was going to go in order...DN, FRWL, GF. Then I thought I would go with my favorites...OHMSS, GF, CR. I watched AVTAK first...go figure. Finally got hold of my box-set yesterday, courtesy of a helping of birthday-related financial generosity.

Haha! Thanks for the reply, but afraid I'm definitely going to rule out A VIEW TO A KILL for starters, due to personal preference. DR NO and ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE are much more tempting prospects though.I was going to go in order...DN, FRWL, GF. Then I thought I would go with my favorites...OHMSS, GF, CR. I'd start with DR.NO for sure since it really looks like your watching it on film because of the amazing clarity especially if you haven't seen the Blu-ray before.Haha! I'll get the six 1960s blus and the rest will have to wait until they're ridiculously cheap (£5 or £6 a pop).
