Question: Is OHMSS in this set like the SE daylight edition http://img120.images...hermaj21pu6.png
or the UE Night edition? http://img301.images...cretservwd2.png

So I have been scanning through some bonus features and what do I notice? They edited the Goldeneye teaser trailer!
As bond walks out and shoots the 7 it freeze frames and then the music montage starts. They cut out the part where he walks to camera to reveal Brosnan's face and he says "You were expecting someone else?"
WHY? I loved this trailer, are they scared that little moment takes away from the Craig era or something?
Proof or it didn't happen. This seems completely unbelievable.

It's just the UK version of the trailer. It was edited to bring the total length of the trailer to 90 seconds, most likely to qualify as a "teaser" rather than full length trailer and therefore be cheaper to attach in the trailer selections for other films. It's been available on video/dvd back to 1995, but the full-length US trailer tends to be the more common one these days

Yes - it looks very pretty, but I don't like disc storage and I'd expected that there would be something a little more than a photo montage for each movie.
Anyone know if the "exclusive" Walmart, Best Buy & Target BluRay's are Region A or Region Free?
Also, any indication if (or when) the previously unreleased BluRays will be on sale individually in the UK?

And I don't understand why people here say there are no new extra features: I never saw the James Brolin screentests that are on this disc before .
For me, this BR boxset really proves to be quite a treat.
The only mildly disappointing thing is the extra bonus disc: nothing that breathtaking. Being Bond is a let-down. Yet the featurettes (Bond in motion, Locations, Gadgets, etc.) are quite fun to watch.

The Brolin screentest was available on the Ultimate Edition DVD release from 2006.Just watched Octopussy. Amazing picture quality. Had a blast enjoying it.

And yes, menus are the same on QOS as the 2009 release.

Not to mention the original Special Edition release back in '99.

Was it on there? I know there's a small bit of it in the John Cork documentary but I didn't think the test itself was a feature until the Ultimate Editions. I could be wrong though, I no longer have the Special Editions unfortunately.

I just saw Dr No and the new crispness and extra detail is just outstanding. Even something simple like the open sequence has a new vividness too it. Not sure how many films I'll get to before Skyfall, but I'm sure I will be able to make a fair dent in them.

I had the Special Editions, not the Ultimate so there are some extra goodies in there, however the only factor in this was the great picture quality and price. I bought a Blu-ray player just for this. I doubt I will buy too many other films for the format.

Awesome! Welcome to Bond on blu ray! I picked up a blu ray player in 2008 when some of the Bond films came out on blu ray.
I watched a bit of The Spy Who Loved Me the other night. Wow. This is the best I have ever seen that one! The EE and haloing that plagued the UE DVD is gone.
It looks great and the DTS HD MA sound track is top notch too.

scaramunga, that's great to hear. The oversharpening of TSWLM DVD was very annoying, glad to hear it has been corrected.

does anyone know when walmart or any other retailer will be releasing the individual films? Walmart has GE, DAF, and Octopussy, but what about the other 6?
Target has AVTAK, TLD, and TND.
Best Buy will be selling YOLT. OHMSS, and TSWLM - apparently closer to Oct 23, according to Home Media magazine.

In your case, Bond 50 is definitely a worthwhile upgrade, especially if you never got to see the "new" features from the Ultimate Editions. Lots of goodies there!Well, I guess I don't have that 2006 Ultimate Edition. Actually, I have a DVD boxset that runs up to TWINE, and then bought the DVDs as they were individually released. So this 2012 boxset is all the better (the extras are new to me, eventhough I understand they're not new as such). I'm soooooooooo glad I bought it. Lovely packaging, superb BR transfer, great extras ("to me, that is"!), etc. A wonderful treat. Love it as a kid loves a christmas gift.
Aside from the extra Quantum of Solace material, I don't see much else that they could scrape the barrel for in terms of bonus features. More screen tests perhaps, a featurette here and there, but we've got so much already that I'm just happy to have all the films on Blu-ray. I passed on the previous releases, hoping for a box set this year. Glad I was right!
Since they've left a spot for Skyfall, I wonder if they'll be an option when Skyfall comes to home video to order a kind of "disc only" that matches with the rest of the set. Or, at the very least, make the disc itself match. Otherwise, there won't be much of a point in sticking inside the set if it doesn't match anyways and I'm left with the case and cover art.

If anyone gets any of these, could you post if they are locked to Region A or are Region Free, please?

That's how they get you, Teddy Bear! When I first got my Blu-Ray, it was going to be "just a few movies"...now, two years later, and almost a hundred Blu-Rays later...

There's such a huge jump between DVD and blu ray. I know what you mean in terms of number of blu rays!
I'm not a happy chappy! the OH has bought me this for a Christmas gift, but its currently in the wardrobe upstairs and I'm not allowed to touch it until Christmas morning! I do have the already-released Blu-rays (as well as the rest on DVD), but I'm trying my best not to watch another Bond now until Christmas, cos I'm sure the anticipation will make actually getting my hands on the box all the more sweeter.
11 weeks and counting...
Man! At least you have a few of them on blu ray to watch.
The anticipation of the last 9 coming to blu ray would be too much for me to bear. I'm glad I picked up the Bond 50 set on day 1.
There's quite a few other blu ray titles that I would like, but I can wait on those. Had to get Bond right away though.

I did a search on Target's site they don't even have any of them listed on their site. Well for TND they have the the Special Edition showing and say the Blu-ray and it $14.99 wiith no sale. No listing of the other two at all. They don't even have a sale for them on their Sunday paper ad. As Best Buy they have a sale for the Blu-rays that only in their store and the ones in every store for $9.99 each. They even say on their sit it come with $10 movie cash for Skyfall.

While the artwork might be a bit horrendous (bar FRWL and OHMSS), the spine work was really something.
If the individual Blu Ray's come to the UK, and use similar spines, I'm going to pick them up that way, not too fond of the
box set anyway.
Got my Goldeneye steelbook per-ordered by the way.
