Ooh tough one. I'll go with Dalton in TLD though.

Rightfully Scorned - The string section is good, but it's just a techno mess, lots of additional speaking and laughing parts that aren't Bond at all.
Best Bond debut..
Sean Connery in 'Dr.No'
OR
George Lazenby in 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'
??
Posted 11 February 2013 - 10:24 PM
Easy..Connery in Dr. No..he set the standard..
Which was the more stupid way for a Bond baddie to get his comeuppance....Blofeld being bumped very gently against the side of a building in his Bath-O-Sub in Diamonds Are Forever OR Zao getting speared by a falling chandelier in Die Another Day??
Posted 11 February 2013 - 11:51 PM
Can I say Kananga with his inflated opinion of himself?...No?....well in that case Blofeld in his bath-o-sub.
Casino Royale's main title sequence
OR
Skyfall's main title sequence
?
Posted 12 February 2013 - 08:48 AM
Close, but I go for 'Skyfall' due to the fact I love the coupling of the music to what we see on screen, the images and iconography are very striking and has lots of connections to the film and there are many Binder-esque moments that really capture a classic Bond opening.
Do Bond girls look their best....
With little on, just wearing the bikinis, bathing suits etc
OR
Dressed to impress with lacy dresses and beautiful frocks etc
??
Posted 12 February 2013 - 03:48 PM
Oohh tough one...I suppose it depends on which particular Bond girl it is, but in general I like to see them dressed to impressed with lacy dresses etc.. not that there's anything wrong with the bikini clad girls too..
Which Skyfall promotion gimmick is better...the fleet of white Aston Martins with Bond's image driving around in Manhatten OR the Skyfall train being dedicated?
Posted 12 February 2013 - 04:01 PM
Good one! I love the Aston Martin fleet, but have to give the best gimmick to actually naming a train after the film and using stars to promote it and also rename the platform! Great stuff.
If there was a TV live action series to be made entitled "Mister Bond"...would you like to see;
A historical/spy thriller series about a younger James Bond, before he joined the Secret Service
OR
An action series from the point of view of the villains, only seeing and hearing of James Bond through the times they cross paths
??
Posted 12 February 2013 - 06:15 PM
Eh, probably a series about a young Bond before he joins the SIS.
Do you prefer villains that:
Bond has a personal stake with and creates more tension for him
OR
He meets for the first time during his mission with no prior connection
?
Posted 12 February 2013 - 09:02 PM
Bring back the days of Dr. No, Goldfinger, Largo, Stromberg, et al. I've seen enough 'personal stake to last me a lifetime.
Which would be weirder:
Roger Moore in Never Say Never Again
or
Sean Connery in A View to a Kill?
Posted 13 February 2013 - 04:37 AM
Connery in AVTAK.
Sean Connery:
Overrated for being the first
OR
He set the bar
?
Posted 13 February 2013 - 08:36 AM
Overrated for being the first - he's really good, but he has his flaws too but will always be the poster boy because he was the first. It would be the case if Roger Moore was the first too.
Best disposable pleasure for Bond...
Solange Dimitrios in 'Casino Royale'
OR
Strawberry Fields in 'Quantum Of Solace'
??
Posted 13 February 2013 - 06:31 PM
Solange...definitely had more of a flirtatious relationship with 007...unfortunately for Ms. Fields, her character was killed off rather too quickly.
The cooler, moment of pure fury look on Daniel Craig's face in a Bond... When he grabs the steak knife off the table and goes after Le Chiffre with the intention of killing him after he's lost the poker game in Casino Royale OR The moment he sees his precious Aston Martin being blown up by Silva's helicopter in Skyfall?
Posted 13 February 2013 - 07:32 PM
When he grabs the knife and is ready to kill Le Chiffre. You can just see his rage, especially in that "he doesn't give a damn" how his martini is prepared.
Eric Serra's GE score:

Underrated, I've heard it wasn't a favorite which surprised me cause I'm a fan and I do enjoy that track during the DB5 racing scene.
Connery in OHMSS
or
Lazenby in NSNA
?

Connery in OHMSS, solely because nothing could've saved NSNA.

Rightfully praised, and probably the best Bond debut for an actor (Dr. No included). So how about ...
Martin Campbell's best directing:
Casino Royale
OR
GoldenEye
?
Posted 14 February 2013 - 08:31 AM
Tough one, but probably Casino Royale. I think it was a harder script and a harder film to make.
Quantum of Solace:
Underrated
OR
Rightfully Scorned
?
Posted 14 February 2013 - 09:14 AM
Underrated - it's not the best Bond film, but no way near the worst. It was just sub-par compared to 'Casino Royale' so soon before, and suffered a little mis-direction trying to make a direct sequel and a little to fancy filmmaking. Still a solid entry and full of great action and a simply story to follow.
Did you miss Quantum, in name or prescence, in 'Skyfall'...
No - Quantum, who? Didn't even cross my mind.
OR
Yes - A little mention would have brilliantly tied Craig's films together.
??
Posted 14 February 2013 - 03:57 PM
I think we'll find out next year that Silva did a little work for Quantum from time to time.
But no, it didn't cross my mind while watching Skyfall.
Now, once and for all:
Tanya Roberts rocking us as a geologist
or
Denise Richards blowing us away as a nuclear physicist?
Posted 14 February 2013 - 05:41 PM
Good one AMC Hornet...both are dubious at best but I'll give the edge to Tanya Roberts as a geologist...She at least had some credibility.
Who was more useless in aiding Bond during a gun battle / escape scene... Tiffany Case firing the machine gun and getting knocked off the oil rig from the recoil in DAF OR Kara Milovy simply standing around and eventually hitting a guard over the head with a light weight bucket in TLD?
Posted 14 February 2013 - 06:30 PM
Tiffany Case. The recoil of the gun made her fall off the rig. At least Kara attempted to do something.
Die Another Day.

Some day - someday - DAD will take its place alongside Moonraker as a popcorn romp and no longer be reviled as it has been since the release of Casino Royale.
A girl can dream.
Connery using Fiona as a human shield
or
Brosnan shooting Electra himself?
Posted 15 February 2013 - 02:42 AM
Brosnan shooting Elektra. One of the best scenes of not only Brosnan's tenure, but the whole series.
"Sorry, that last hand nearly killed me."
OR
"Last rat standing."
?
Posted 15 February 2013 - 03:15 AM
"Sorry, that last hand nearly killed me." "Last rat standing" didn't have all that much as a effect on me.
Casino Royale DBS chase OR Quantum Of Solace DBS chase?
Posted 15 February 2013 - 09:04 AM
Hands down the 'Quantum Of Solace' DBS chase. A brilliantly shot action piece and great use of the locations and cars.
Best incorporation of the film title in the script itself...
"What do we know of this Chinese gentleman?" "Not much, except his name. Doctor No."
OR
"Yes this is my second life." "You only live twice Mister Bond."
??
Posted 15 February 2013 - 12:21 PM
I'm siding with the Doctor No quote. I like how mysterious and foreboding it is.
Timothy Dalton in Casino Royale
or
Daniel Craig in Licence to Kill?
Posted 15 February 2013 - 02:05 PM
Ohhh!! Tough one...my favourite film with 'Licence To Kill'. I have to say I'd love to see Dalton as Bond again so would go for him in 'Casino Royale', for all his dark, brutal Bond goodness where is finally given praise 20 years when audiences are ready for a darker Bond.
Best incorporation of the film title in the script itself...
"Wow, what a view." "To a kill!"
OR
"Whoever she was it must've scared the living daylights out of her."
??
Posted 15 February 2013 - 04:18 PM
Dalton, actually saying the title line where and as it appeared in the original short story.
"What a view!" "To a kill!" - What rubbish.
The jungle boat chase in Moonraker
or
The Thames boat chase in TWINE?
