The Thames boat chase in TWINE... (the chase in LALD is ok except it's dragged out far too long by so many scenes of J.W. Pepper and his bumpkin Police unit.. :P )

The bigger What-was-the-damn-point moment in a Bond film... Elvis' toupee in Quantum of Solace OR Promising us that the BMW in Goldeneye had stinger missiles but then we never, ever get to see them used?

The BMW in GE. It was such a tease.

"That's a useful 4 letter word....and you're full of it."

"I never miss". (Sorry for not being close, I need to watch moar Bond.)

Best henchman 1:

Oddjob

OR

Stamper?

You're kidding, right?

Lessee...the iconic henchman, compared to whom all others pale (with the possible exception of Jaws in TSWLM)

or

One of the many, many henchmen who pale in comparison?

I should have let Odjobbies answer this one - that would've shown you.

Plenty O'Toole or Miss Caruso?

Plenty "named after your father, perhaps" O'Toole.

Which Aston Martin DB5:

Casino Royale's with steering on left OR Skyfall's with steering wheel on the right?

I'm from North America where they drive on the right side and the driver is on the left so I would have to go with CASINO ROYALE although I'd be fine with both.

Which Moneypenny do you prefer; Caroline Bliss (TLD, LTK) OR Samantha Bond (GE-DAD)?

Ugh, I don't really like either. But if I have to choose then Samantha Bond, she plays the tease better.

"Tell M what you want, if he fires me I'll thank him for it."

I may get flak for this, but although I loved Dalton's world-weary delivery of his line, I have to go with Pierce's jibe about how times have changed.

Also, I owe MajorBoothroyd the chance for a little payback, so this one's for you:

Better Bond girl:

Claudine Auger

or

Britt Ekland

?

Well, I think I know what seawolf would want....Britt Ekland, obviously.  ;)

Which incorporation of the film title into the dialogue is better...

"For your eyes only darling."

OR

"I could have given you the world." "The world is not enough."

Have to go with "For Your Eyes Only"...just seemed to fit more naturally..

Bond fight sequence, switch-a-roo....Daniel Craig vs Robert Shaw in the train fight in From Russia With Love OR Sean Connery vs Sebastian Foucan during the crane fight in Casino Royale?

Craig vs. Shaw. I don't see Connery keeping up with Foucan on the crane, do you?

Better show-up of the villain:

Bond beating Kamal using Kamal's loaded dice in Octopussy

OR

Bond killing Drax's shooter in the tree in Moonraker

?

Both are classic, but I have to give the edge to using Kamal's "lucky dice." The way Rog calls the roll without even looking at the dice is killer.

Better boiler suits:

YOLT

or

DAF

?

Good one! I go for 'You Only Live Twice', the edge going to the rainbow colour selection.

Taking seawolfs good question, I'll also suggest another better show-up of the villain #2:

Bond finally cleans Le Chiffre out during the poker game in 'Casino Royale'

OR

Bond makes a station-break during Carver's CMGN speech in 'Tomorrow Never Dies'

??

The poker game was great but I have to go with my man Brosnan in TND who was suppose to get beat up but rather embarrassed Carver very publicly.

The TOMORROW NEVER DIES BMW car chase OR DIE ANOTHER DAYS Austin Martin battling a Jaguar?

Go ahead and hate me for this, but I prefer the supercar duel in Iceland. I'd always wanted to see Bond in a chase where his gadgets are cancelled out and aren't enough of an edge to ensure his escape.

Least exciting climactic confrontation:

The four-man punch-up at the Meteora monastery in FYEO

or

Bond vs Largo in NSNA?

Bond vs Largo in NSNA. It pales in comparison to fight on the Disco in TB and I actually kind of like the finale to FYEO.

Better villain show-up 3:

Bond beating Goldfinger at golf with the switched balls

OR

Bond surprising Le Chiffre at the poker game after surviving the poisoning by Valenka

?

Gotta go with Bond cheating death with Le Chiffre over Bond catching Goldfinger cheating.

3 measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half measure Kina Lillet OR 50 year old Macallan?

Can I say both? lol...I'll say the Vesper as I've actually had one or two..don't think I've tried Macallan scotch..need to do so one of these days..

Daniel Kleinman's title sequences...Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Casino Royale OR Skyfall...which is his best?

Hmm...I think it's 'Skyfall'. Call me biast with the current hype, but it to me is the most Binder-esque of the ones he's done. It looks brilliant, it evokes the tone of the film and is very haunting mixed with the theme song. 'Casino Royale' and 'Die Another Day' follow 2nd and 3rd.

Continuing via seawolf, the better villain show-up #4:

Bond listening in and panicking the Quantum meet during Tosca in 'Quantum Of Solace'

OR

Bond taking out the fire extinguishers at the Goverment Enquiry, blinding Silva as they easily escape in 'Skyfall'

??

I think the Tosca sequence as much as I love the courthouse scene in Skyfall. The Tosca scene was the first time that it seemed like Quantum were scared of Bond.

Better villain show-up 5:

Bond defeating Graves in the swordfight

OR

Bond destroying Sanchez's deal with Orientals

?

Dalton destroying Sanchez's deal because it completely upends his empire, as well as his ego.

Best Shirley Bassey almost Bond song:

"Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" (Thunderball)

OR

"No Good About Goodbye" (QoS)?

I would much rather have heard 'No Good About Goodbye' over the titles of QoS than 'Mr. Kiss-Kiss Bang-Bang' over the titles of Thunderball.

Reason: Tom Jones' song doesn't suck, whereas (IMO) the White Keyes' song does.

Wimpiest villain:

Elliot Carver

or

Dominic Greene

?

Tough one but I would have to go with Carver because he was more about the showmanship of it all rather then Green who seemed all business and didn't hesitate to kill someone.

Better disposable villain lair; Goldeneye with hidden satellite OR Dr. No's Crabkey?

Definitely Goldeneye's...had a much more dramatic demise than Dr. No's factory..

The Aston Martin DB5...does it look better as a right hand drive, (GF, TB, GE, TND, SF) OR left hand drive (Casino Royale)?

Hmm, I would say it looks fine either way, but I'll go with right-hand drive just for the fact that it has gadgets (at least in GF, TB and SF anyway).

"When you remove Mr. Bond's heart, there will just be enough time for him to watch it stop beating."

"Mr. Bond, you defy all my attempts to plan an amusing death for you."

"When you remove Mr. Bond's heart, there will just be enough time for him to watch it stop beating." - Something about that line is very classic villain style!

Which Roger Moore Bond film do you feel tipped the racial card slighty more in portryal of characters, dialogue and use of location:

'Live And Let Die'

OR

'Octopussy'

??

Creepier villain's lair in a Bond film... Silva's abandoned island in Skyfall OR Gustav Graves' Ice Palace in Die Another Day?

Definitely Hashima, although I'd rather be there than in an ice palace in Iceland in the winter..

Better location establishing shots:

Venice & Rio in Moonraker

or

Shanghai & Scotland in Skyfall

?

Brosnan in '86. Dalton would've been too young in '69. Although, he would've been excellent opposite Diana Rigg.

Better use of title in film:

"I must've scared the living daylights out of her."

OR

"Skyfall.....Skyfall...." -- "Done!"

?
