Now THAT is a neat link to the 60s era, with that famous Connery picture as he was posing on the Aston in 'Goldfinger'.

" What you see in a couple of the images below is the emphasis on guns rather than gadgets, but what you don’t see about the gunplay is that one of the characters — Kincaide, played by Albert Finney — is fond of old-fashioned English firearms. Think of 19th Century percussion pistols and a very powerful elephant gun that fires .500 Nitro Express cartridges. We don’t know how those come into play, but next week we’ll start to explain a couple of the big locations and setpieces you can expect to see when Skyfall opens in the US on November 9."

I'm not suggesting that Finney will portray Whitaker, but that Whitaker's obsession with collecting old firearms and generally war "memorabillia" could be portrayed as a homage.
Just a thought though, doesn't make a lot of sense.

Nah you could be on to something. Craig did say they are "bringing in old characters and new ones", i'm guessing an homage for the 50th Anniversary here and there might crop up.

Oh, and i was just quoting Dalton in TLD there

The lighting in this picture is amazing, it feels very Blade Runner esque. It seems like Bond is being spied on from the opposite building? Marlohe?

This is after Eve shaves Bond but before the casino.
Eve shaves Bond?! Why doesn't he do it himself?

The possibilities in such a scene could be great from a writing, acting and directing stand point.
Eve has the blade against Bond's exposed neck as she close shaves him. Sexual tension. Dialogue as razor sharp
as the blade. Could be good stuff.

Yes, I’ve thought that this has got the potential to be quite a memorable scene from the first time I heard about it.

Agree with the dramatic possibilities, but the question of PPK is good: Why?
Is he wounded?, is she threatening him?, is he tied? That´s really interesting... innuendos apart, of course...

Interesting if this proves to be correct and he hasn't been misquoted. I never thought the train sequence would be set near the beginning. If that's correct, Patrice survives the train scenes and then Bond encounters him again in Shanghai. It's part of the film's opening sequence in Turkey. In the finished film this scene will take place in Istanbul, according to Ola Rapace's recent statements.
