It will likely feature more memorable action than Quantum, and boast better pacing than Casino, but it seems like 3-4 good set pieces, and the odd scrap here and there.

Now THAT is a neat link to the 60s era, with that famous Connery picture as he was posing on the Aston in 'Goldfinger'.

Isn't it a little bit odd that the released pictures only show a single person per image? I know, Severine is with her bodyguards and once in the background, but they don't show us interactions between the characters. And according to Craig, the story bodes well because of the several relationships he has in this film. Wouldn't it have been a good thing to show this with the first photographs, setting the tone and topic right at the beginning of the promotional wave?

I'm not suggesting that Finney will portray Whitaker, but that Whitaker's obsession with collecting old firearms and generally war "memorabillia" could be portrayed as a homage.

Nah you could be on to something. Craig did say they are "bringing in old characters and new ones", i'm guessing an homage for the 50th Anniversary here and there might crop up.

Doesn't Bond have a beard in the industrial building? The continuity here is little weird. This is after Eve shaves Bond but before the casino. Is he just looking for some alone time and Severine just happens to be over there?

Agree with the dramatic possibilities, but the question of PPK is good: Why?

Is he wounded?, is she threatening him?, is he tied? That´s really interesting... innuendos apart, of course...

Interesting if this proves to be correct and he hasn't been misquoted. I never thought the train sequence would be set near the beginning. If that's correct, Patrice survives the train scenes and then Bond encounters him again in Shanghai.
