This is the part of the production process where just everything starts to kick off. First the official pics, then a poster, then some leaked trailer footage, and then the actual teaser.

Anyone else unreasonably thrilled by the look of some of these scenes? The manner in which Mendes/Deakins have lit Bond skulking through the shadowy and dusty corridor almost has me salivating.
Indeed. That one of him in the corridor is lit in a way that reminds me of westerns.

This Bond sure will be doing alot of scenes walking around in a suit with his gun out :oP
This quote from the article intrigues me: 'He wants to explore the roots of the MI6, as to make a loop with Dr No (probably for the 50th anniversary)'

Still, it's not hard to imagine Bond making his way through his former living room, only to hear a noise on the floors above. He stows M somewhere safe and begins to comb the area.

Oh good point, my bad and then perhaps the villlans suspect this and decide to surprise Bond and M with a warm welcome. He doesn't. He takes her there because he thinks it's a safe haven.

It should be stressed we are just speculating. The only reason I'm not convinced that Finney is there is because it would indicate his role is almost identical to the one he had at the end of the Bourne Ultimatum. What possible threat to Bond could the man possibly represent anyway?

It's definitely Finney. We know Kincade's at the house during the daytime, because Bond was seen holding him at gunpoint outside that barn.

Now that I think about it, could his fate and M's be tied together? If we're dealing with the inception of MI6, then is it possible M and Kincade were there at the beginning?

Funny, I was thinking Hitchcock.

Looks like M's Office is actually on the "real" MI6 Building, judging by the color of the windows and the architecture.

I'm betting that's the final image of the film. Bond, alone, staring out across the city, wondering what the future holds
after the devastating events in Skyfall.

Good spot. I did see some crew members standing on the upper balcony of the SIS building; I was surprised they'd been allowed access so presumably it was for this. If they weren't really there on location I suppose the windows would be greenscreens in this shot.

The wall on the right looks the same as in the shadowy hallway shot. (And the lighting appears to indicate it’s from the same scene too.)
Floor to ceiling louver doors are not something that I would normally associate with a Scottish manor house, they say more Mediterranean to me, Turkish in this case.
