I missed the pictures of the Gravestones, too! Bloody hell!
And just in case no one has posted this before (Vauxhall!!!! Ease back on the exclamation points!), the inscription on the headstone translates as ...
Mors ultima linea rerum est -- Death is everything's final limit

I was unaware the exclamation marks were upsetting people. Apologies. I'll try to tone it down.(Vauxhall!!!! Ease back on the exclamation points!)

No problems. They just imply shouting, as if the writer is exasperated. Also, the photos you mentioned were not featured prominently, maybe because of the spoiler factor. But I would think that such a major mention of Bond's parents would've merited a more visible note.

Oops. My exclamation marks tend to represent excitement rather than exasperation. For shouting, I'd probably opt for capital letters, but that's not really my style. You'll appreciate how difficult it is to express emotion on an internet forum, I'm sure Sorry for the confusion.

And a second apology - I've only just seen your reply requesting a link to the post here. I didn't purposely overlook that. http://debrief.comma...ost__p__1190002

Are those the graves of Bonds parents? This is very cool, reminds me of the FYEO scene where he visits his wife's grave.
I don't like the fact that they're digging up the past. In the movies I like to see him as a man without a past. It makes him mysterious and inscrutable. By focussing too much at the troubles of a young Bond (death of his parents, his great love Vesper who betrayed him in CR) they present him like some sort of a Freudian nutcase.

No, they present him as a character like the one Ian Fleming created:

"It reminded him almost too vividly of childhood . . . . It was all there, his own childhood, spread out before him to have another look at. How far he had come since the freckles and the Cadbury milk-chocolate Flakes and the fizzy lemonade" (OHMSS, chapter 1). The man who wrote that, and other passages like it, knew that Bond could touch base with his past and still be 007. A few glimpses into Bond's past won't hurt the movie. It may help us understand him better.

That's the literary Bond. I'm talking about the 007 from the movies. To me they are two different characters from two different worlds. I like them both, don't get me wrong. But I don't want to understand the Bond from the movies. I want him to be an enigma.

AND its also the 50th Anniversary of the franchise, it would seem like the perfect time to dig into Bond's past if there was ever a time for it.

It could just be an unprecedented level of detail, like John Doe's diaries in SE7EN, which were actually full and hand-written despite hardly being seen at all. In the case of SKYFALL, the house is Bond's family's. The graves are of his parents, grandparents and ancestors. Therefore, it is logical to assume that their names would be on them, even if the camera does not linger on them.

Who says they're incorporated into the story at all?

My point exactly. We don't know how Bond's parents grave's are incorporated into the story. They could have nothing to do with the film or it could have a great deal to do with the film. Probably just a little something something for the fans.
Therefore, it is logical to assume that the entire film has been story boarded and they would know if the graves are going to be shown and if so whether to build them or not.

It seems there's another Call-Sheet leaked by 007Collector with the character's list.
I bet Ralph Fiennes is Gareth Mallory and Ben Wishaw is going to be B, instead o Q.

#19 - Assian Business Men (Sniper Target) - That's related to this picture, right?
#27 - Silva's Isolation Guard - So Silva is going to get captured? Maybe he wants to get captured, like The Joker in TDK. It's funny because the pictures of Bardem as a police officer also reminded me of the TDK.

Could him getting lose be part of M’s past coming back to haunt her?

Well, I think Silva feels he was hung out to dry by MI6 when the Skyfall plot went awry, and now, because they wronged him, it's payback time.

Silva is RAOUL SILVA. It's the second RAOUL in the franchise. You may recall Raóul from DAD. And it looks there's no Moneypenny, only a Vanessa (M's assistant)

Guys I just noticed, beside Clair there is MP, possibly Moneypenny? If so, then Helen McCory would play her.

Thanks for that. Could still be Vanessa; fingers crossed
