I wonder, when you will ever post a comment, that actually feeds a discussion instead of making an effort to destroy it with unnecessary negative comments? You think, you are funny or smart? You don't EVER add anything supportive to ANY discussion. However long you are here, this is sort of destuctive all altogether. You act, as if all this is beneath you really, but you act like.a jerk.
Go and invade Poland, luv.

Jim´s wit is ingeniously clever in it´s pragmatic execution, with a sardonic grin to go with it. We´re quite fond of it here at Cbn, although many have fled from his persistent sarcasm. Sometimes I like it, it´s brilliant most of the time, albeith annoying, which is, infact, why it´s brilliant. And I´m sure that, if he were to anwser to this he would simply say...."Yes." As for Germanlady, one of our best researchers around. Chill milady, it´s all cool. And if you persist, I´m sure he´ll just say "I love you", and isn´t that grand? lol
Appearantly his wit is for guys, as I don 't see it, but nevertheless, if he is, what you like, be happy with it. He will appreciate it and get to new hights of his incredible sarcasm. But i don't need an "I love you" from him. Why water down a nice, open dislike?

Well, humour is a very culturally driven thing, not everyone appreciates dark british humour, I happen to know many people who don´t. And about Jim, we had our quarrels, not even altercations, but it´s all good. It´s no worse then what the portuguese call "chico esperto" attitude, it borderlines being a smart a.., but it isn´t. It´s just fun, most of the time it´s even self depricating, which borderlines false modesty, but it isn´t. Hard to define humour, see? I recomend reading Onésimo Teotónio de Almeida, a prof. in Brown University. He has written some good stuff about humour. Cheers.

I doubt, I will become a fan, but I appreciate the efforts to explain his "weird" wit. This is a taste of a good communty...

You know, it´s interesting, we actually have the opportunity to put together in one room (albeith being a chat room) many nacionalities and many different profiles. It´s natural that somethings get lost in translation, and that many others, which are most of the time different types of humour and/or conversation skills, get misinterpreted. We just have to give room for all these things to happen and not react too hastily. So Captain Tightpants pragmatism gets confused with censorship, Jim´s wit gets confused with agression, and so on and so on. Lately we´ve had too many agressive responses to what people say to each other. Different people, different cultures, different tastes, ..., it´s what makes Cbn a cool place to be. I´ll shut up now. See ya.

Yeah, well, the rep system (thank God it´s gone) started it all, the blatant agression I mean, but rest assured, I get your compliment with an open heart my friend Cheersunivex, I'd give you a +1, if I could... :-)
BTW, Pussfeller and Harkers, that was the best team work post ever! Thumbs up.

But seriously, CBN was the first online "community" I ever experienced and joined. It's been unfailingly the best and, at its peaks, something truly special. From talking about the upcoming films, books, and games to having a special role in a few of the fan-created projcts we've done, I'm not sure what my Bond fandom would be without this place. Real shame we've lost some members and it isn't what it used to be.
But Jim's one of the longest standing amongst those members and consistently amongst the funniest, most logical, and welcoming contributors.
It's all in good fun. Let's lighten up. If we must be angry, let's make use of the time-tested old adage and direct it toward Kevin McClory.

Think this confirms that the VW Beetles which EON was buying up are gonna be the NEW Beetles (1998 onwards) and not the classic VW bugs.. Man, I'm curious as to what the action scene is gonna be like..
I'm a bit baffled; a car transporter of some kind seems to be an explanation- I suppose the new Beetle is just too new to be featured here.
Is there some kind of pun involving beetles or bugs that's appropriate to a load of them falling off a bridge? I dunno.

It's true. My Canadianism gets confused with...wait, what's Canadianism confusable with?
Thinking you have a nation. Canadians are confused, period.

Yeah, I'm baffled, too. I first thought they might have been after old Beetles, which might have fit in with Turkey. But a whole fleet of them, each with their own camera car? That one's got me stumped.I'm a bit baffled; a car transporter of some kind seems to be an explanation- I suppose the new Beetle is just too new to be featured here.

Of course, we're assuming here that the cars on the transporter are indeed intended for SKYFALL and are not simply a truckload of new cars destined for a showroom.

There is obviously a major bit of this jigsaw missing – I’m baffled too.

Given the choice, though, I'd be trying to get my hands on the 2012 Beetle for the scene:
I just find the New Beetles to be ugly, but the 2012 model looks like it could be built by Porsche.

The only thing I can think of is some kind of car chase where the villain has a dozen cars of the same make, model and colour in order to confuse Bond as to which car he is actually in. But the New Beetle is a weird choice for the scene (that said, what else do you pick?), especially if it takes place in Turkey. I could see it working in China, though.

Looks nice, well at least MGM is making good use of them. I just have no clue why they would need so many beetles? I've never heard anything like it. Maybe the villian is trying to confuse Bond, or they are secretly weapons?

Dozens of cars getting destroyed does evoke memories of the Goldeneye tank chase, where Bond smashes through the truck carrying Perrier mineral water. But I imagine that comparison has been raised many a time on here.I'm a bit baffled; a car transporter of some kind seems to be an explanation- I suppose the new Beetle is just too new to be featured here.

That's what I suggested. Weren't you reading?Maybe the villian is trying to confuse Bond
Also, the picture I posted was of the 2012 model of the Beetle. If the posted video is to be believed, SKYFALL will be using the (uglier) 1998 model:
But in blue, not green.
It's the first time I've heard it, but each of the Beetles supposedly has its own camera car.Dozens of cars getting destroyed does evoke memories of the Goldeneye tank chase, where Bond smashes through the truck carrying Perrier mineral water. In fact, I'd dare to speculate that a small car like the Beetle might be able to drive on the roof of a train, eventually driving off it off a nice high bridge, giving Bond time to jump out (not sure what happens next). Would certainly be visually stunning.

World's Greatest Daredevils
A collection of spectacular and death-defying stunts with the thrill-seekers who cheat death every day. Daredevils featured include Matthias Giraud, who combines skiing and Base jumping, launching himself off cliffs after speeding down hostile terrain, British free-runner Damien Walters, presently employed as a stuntman on the set of new James Bond film Skyfall, and Chris Birch, one of the leading freestyle motorcyclists in the UK. Other adrenaline junkies include kite surfers, white-water kayakers and unroped climbers.

Chance to see Damien's death-defying stunts in daredevil documentary
"I had a phone call from Channel Five asking if they could use some of my footage from my new showreel," said Damien.
This week he is in London filming scenes for the latest James Bond film, Skyfall, expected to be released later this year.
"I'm playing the bad guy's double. I can't reveal anything but all I can say is that it has been really good so far," said Damien. "The expectation is really high and it has been quite intense. "Everything you do, they want to be bigger, better, stronger, faster and to be as high a level as it can."

Can anyone take a look and tell us whether does he reveal any news about his stunt scenes for Skyfall?
