Daniel Craig was at an award ceremony in London yesterday and was very much clean shaven.

Got pics :) ?

Dude, it's certain that Craig has stubble for at least some part of SKYFALL. He's been filming a bit with the scruff. But, apparently, it's not for the entirety of the film.

I was under the impression that this entire discussion was based on the press conference. Are there pics floating around of filming with the stubble? Or are these just more event appearances? Because I have stubble when I wake up every morning. If I knew I was going to get professionally shaved at work every day, you'd see me with a lot too.

Hmm, and it's assumed these photos are from while the cameras are rolling?

If so, it's interesting. The reason I doubt it is because the stubble doesn't seem like much of a "look". It's just sort of there, and it serves to age him by 10 years. I'm also surprised by how short his hair is, which also makes him look a bit older. But it seems like you guys might be right.

Does anyone actually hope this is so? It's not very becoming, let alone Bondian.

Thx for sharing the pic. Looks like he has gone clean shaven, probably for the pool scene set in Shanghai later in the film, but is growing the stubble
back over the next few days for more scenes set in London set before Shanghai. Just a guess from the pic.

Seems the London-based scenes, Bond's got the stubble and then shaves once he's off on the next part of the story. Would make sense - maybe?

If this picture is indeed from the most recent filming, that would certainly settle the question if Bond will have the stubble for the whole movie.

What is the source of the picture?

It’s from filming Skyfall yesterday, no question about it. Numerous people saw it happen. But you’d have to enter the spoiler section for the full story.

The suit's Ford - Tom Ford

News that Daniel Craig was returning as 007 should have been enough to get any self-respecting GQ man's pulse racing even more than new Bond girl Bérénice Marlohe. But we were almost as excited to learn that Tom Ford was once again outfitting the stylish secret agent. "I prefer a wardrobe that errs on the side of simplicity," Ford told GQ. "A crisp white shirt is all Daniel Craig needs to frame his rugged good looks. Bond, too, isn't a fop or a dandy; he's a spy, albeit a glamorous one."
The clincher
Javier Bardem might just be the first villain ever to out-tux Bond.

I can tell you now that that's not going to happen. There is no film format in the world - not even IMAX - that can capture that amount of awesome on film.

It derives from "tuxedo"...

Sorry, but what does "to out-tux" mean ?

He means that Javier Bardem could appear in the film in a tuxedo, and that the tuxedo could be more impressive than the one Daniel Craig wears.

Or that he wears them in far higher quantity. Perhaps he's a snobby fashion magnate and custom designer of evening wear for the wealthy, who uses his high society connections to buy and sell valuable intelligence by penetrating his clients' associated fronts and institutions.

Uh, wait. No. I'm sure that's probably not it.....[races to fanfiction section]....

IMO, Bardem doesn't have the shoulders to make a tux look real good. He has a big head and small shoulders. But if they meedt at an event, where they NEED to wear a tux, why not?

Also, tuxedo is American - in the UK it's a dinner jacket/suit or 'black tie'.

In Rhode Island it's called a frappe.
And in Canada it's a chesterfield.
In Australia it's a penguin suit or "pengo", as in the famous expression, "he's snootier than a pengo at a picnic."

Tom Ford has some VERY Dandy fashion indeed. The Skyfall costumes are retro style. The latest swim trunks Bond wears in the first official still, the slim cut of the grey suit with the slightly too short pants. I wonder how the Tom Ford shades will look like when Bond heads to Istanbul. So far I'm not that happy with the style. But we'll have to wait how it works on the big screen I guess.

This is a dandy:

And so is this:

This is retro and stylish:

So far, I like the Tom Ford´s clothing style in SF. I only wish they would have the Persol sunglasses back. Now those were stylish, and affordable.

Persol 714 or 649 in Istambul, now that´d be exotic.

Very classy, don´t dig the hairstyle that much but it reminds me of what Dan said in the CR interview, he had to not worry about what was going on inside and outside his head, literaly, so he cut it short.

I love the haircut, suits Daniel great and actually makes him look younger and fresher to me. I do wonder though with the first spy-photos we got of him on the roof where his hair is longer. Is there gonna be a long timeline on this movie or is it just gonna be an inconsistency thing?

Both the hair and the pants are too short.
