Perhaps or perhaps the Kerim Bey Mathis character is planned to return a few times like mathis did twice.

What KERIM BAY/MATHIS character, QOS007?

Who Mr Zorin?

I think He's reffering to me. As i usually make confusing posts like the one you just made. As of now there is no chracters that we are sure of except for M and Bond.

Ah. Well I just assumed that people would realize I'm talking about a potential character My apologies.

No Mr Zorin I apologize I realize the orignal post is confusing. What I meant to point out is that don't assume Beale if he were to be cast as a secondary character is some sort of slap in the face or less important then Beale being cast as Q or M. It is entirely possible that "Babs" mearly went to see the play to confirm that whatever part she had in mind Beale would be right for, Perhaps she simply enjoys going to the theater with Mr. Mendes and Beale is in no way being looked at. We'll know eventually.

Not so much confusing. Just familiar. But not to worry.

Still don't know why everyone assumes Simon Russell Beale would be in a Bond film as a MATHIS clone.

Cuz the rumor is about him being a good guy? "Like Mathis" isn't that much of a stretch, is it?

This is the biggest news in a long time... since MGM went bankrupt! Bond is back, at last :D

CBn mods - without sounding too cheesy, if possible, please may i *reserve* a ticket to the premiere (as with QoS back in 2008) ? that was such an amazing experience and i'd love for it to happen again!

Well, since you brought it up...I mean, maybe they should take Fleming's name off of the credits. He's had it good for too long, sponging off the 007 name for nearly 50 years and stuff. It's like, you know, Fleming needs to let go, move on, and go create other stuff. It's time to let other people share in the credit. For example:

Albert R. Broccoli's EON Films Presents
Daniel Craig as John Gardner's James Bond 007 in:
ICEBREAKER

Absolutely not! John Gardner didn't created Bond, and the Bond you like to see in the silver screen is Ian Fleming's James Bond, not John Gardner's, Raymond Benson's, Sebastan Faulks', or Jeffrey Deaver's. Fleming is far more than Bond's writer. He's Bond's creator, that's why he deserved the credit all these 49 years!

Weisz will turn 42 in 2010, which I'm assuming would make her the oldest Bond "girl" to date. However, I don't see her age as being any kind of problem - if anything, it would make a refreshing change.

Sod ageism and give her the part (if she's suitable for it, of course).

Well first we have to get the Connery as Bond's father rumor, then Gulshan Grover as the villain, then Connery as the new M.

So, now that we have a new Bond coming, why not start the wish list?:
- what car will Bond be driving? (I'd love a Jaguar)
- what watch will Bond be wearing? (I'd love Jaeger LeCoultre Master Compressor or AmVox)
- what suits will Bond be wearing? (I'd love Dunhill or Lanvin)
- what drinks will Bond have? (I'd love Bollnger RD)
- will Bond be smoking? (I'd love to see him smoke cigars)
etc.

In response to those I would like to add my own answers.

-Aston Martin. For me it's Bond all the way through and I just love the idea of his driving it. Perfect combination of fictional character and motor vehicle.
-Not an expert in watches, but something slick no doubt, provided by Q Branch.
-I want Craig to order a vodka martini this time, and maybe in a kiss to the Connery era, drink some Dom Perignon.
-He doesn't need smoke I don't think.
-Also, I want to see some great continuity with the previous movies too. I loved the look of Quantum of Solace, so I wouldn't mind seeing Dennis Gassner return as production designer, and I want to see more of Tanner too.

I gotta agree with Messervy on the choice of a Jag ;)

As for Champagne, I still gotta agree with Messervy on the Bolly. I see where you are coming from Sir Timothy Craig, but in recent vintages, Bollinger has produced a far better Champagne than Moet's Dom Perignon. Personally I would like to see Bond sip on some Ruinart.

-Aston Martin DB5.
-Omega Seamaster.
-Brioni, maybe Tom Ford again.
-Bollinger RD, and a Vodka Martini of course. Maybe a new drink too.
-Nothing... maybe one or two cigars à la Moore.

I just hope bond 23 isn't like DAD were it was filled with anniversary celebration stuff in it making tribute to old movies.

What if, for the 50th anniversary, they opted for a Doctor No remake (perhaps utilising unused content from the book)? Not saying I want it - but it wouldn't be horrible. Craig would suit that film and it could easily slide into his universe with a bit of updating. That said, I'd much prefer an original adventure that used some missing elements from the books.

I would love for them to readapt the novel Diamonds are forever. changing of course the Spangled mob to Quantum and the character name Tiffany Case, Mr Wint and Mr Kidd would be nice to see. :D Perhaps instead of Tiffany Case we could get Gala Brand. title wise I would like one of the unused titles :D

And bond driving a Jaguar would be cool.

I have been saying for quite some time that I would love a version of YOLT called Shatterhand. Bond goes after Dr. Shatterhand only to discover he is really Mr. White (since he has already been established during Craig's 2 films and was directly there during Vesper's death).

I am fine with that, although I remember Jesper Christensen saying that he would not be returning as Mr White.

No, in fact he brought it up again at another press junket, in an attempt to talk his way out of the comment.
