I prefer my Bond villains and Bond women to be relatively unknown-to-American audiences. It's been part of the mystique of the series. The only good exception would be Diana Rigg.

Who would you like to play the Villian in a future film?

Sam Neill.
Although as he is getting older and chubbier, I might prefer him as the next M.

A couple of weeks ago I watched the 2004 re-make of one of my favourite films, "The Manchurian Candidate", and it struck me that there were four actors in it who could feature as Bond villains.
Bruno Ganz - has played Adolf Hitler and was reputedly Marc Forster's choice for the role of Dominic Greene, ahead of Mathieu Amalric, in QoS.
Simon McBirney - played the creepy neuro-surgeon Atticus Noyle in the film. I don't see him as a main villain but, as in "Manchurian", the scientific support.
Liev Schreiber - the candidate himself. Basically a good, if tortured guy being manipulated by forces beyond his control. His performance has a disturbing quality, nevertheless.
And the one the tabloids would run with but the film makers probably wouldn't be prepared to hire,
Meryl Streep - the re-make's real villain, an obvious mix of Hillary Clinton, Margaret Thatcher and the worst over protective mum you could think of. Over the top most of the time, downright peculiar at the very end. Though not as scary, imo, as the original "Raymond's mother", Angela Lansbury.

Jason Issacs? Puhleeeeze. He has a passing resemblance to Dalton when he smiles. Much too close for comfort, I'm afraid. Bring out another name.

I would love to see:
Javier Bardiem (Im sure I mis-spelled that)
Daniel Day Lewis
Either of them would be an instant classic to be the head of Quantum.
Craig would sizzle against a powerhouse like these two!
