The opening of your latest piece, I have to admit, reminds me a third season episode of Spooks - wherein Danny and Zoe had to go onboard a ferry and assasinate a man attempting to sell biological weapons - but this, in fact, isn't a bad thing as you've managed to enthuse this with the same time-jumping that the Casino Royale PTS had an inject a sense of real peril for the characters which, sadly, that particular episode of Spooks lacked. And then you take it in a direction we weren't expecting - for an opening to your fiction, this is certainly a good piece of work. Am adding this along side Those Who The Gods ... on my To Read As Published list.

Thanks Terminus;
Now, first of all what are you doing up at 02.25am????
I'd already set the "Goodnight" needs rescuing thought; in Bombshell; so I wanted to plunge straight into the action.
Starting with a small light on a door, I wanted to inject some chaos into the Prologue. The idea was to hide the fact they were on board a ship; and concentrate on the action; which as you point out changes direction; putting Bond into a situation that he (and the reader) is unprepared for.

How do you think Goodnight measured up. Is she a Montserrat Lombard or a Sally Breton in your mind????

I'm waiting for our own Goodnight to comment!

There will be twists and turns and suprises galore; as the story unfolds.

CHAPTER ONE will be online TUESDAY 14/09/10 evening.

A new M
A new Mission
A new Bond girl
All introduced in Chapter ONE - "OPERATION DOMINO"

Well you might be in for a long night.

Chapter One

Operation Domino
- Is now in for moderation. 20 pages of action in the Gulf of Aden; Vauxhall Cross, and a flight to Yemen.

Oh yeah, and yo're right; I can see and hear her deliver the lines

Another top notch poster!!

I know I haven't said this here, but Volante, I am very flattered that you would use my cbn name for your story.

I can't even remember who I picked for Goodnight, I think I chose Sally Breton didn't I?

She reminds me a bit of Patsy Kensit from casulty and the infamous Bo'selecta.LOL

She reminds me a little of Britt Ekland here. :)

Thanks Scarlett; but the question is do you like the Goodnight character?
The Patsy Kensit voice goes very well with the character; breathless, almost husky.

Well; here it is, the lunch of A SECRET TO THE GRAVE has been rather quiet, I think.

Chapter TWO is now in for submission.

As the story unfolds the plot takes a number of twists; but lets not get ahead of ourselves; sit back an enjoy

Well all I can say is thank goodness A SECRET TO THE GRAVE launched before SPOOKS series 9.
Last night I watched in fasination; as Lucas North battled Somali pirates with his new girl, Beth.

Okay; so Bond and Beth have made up, their relationship goes from strength to strength.
The drive to the plant should have been calm and relaxing; fortunately Felix and Jimmy Carter showed their usefullness.
But it seems that Wazir is always one step ahead, and Bond has ended up back in the hands of Mr. Manic.

Chapter 5

Just a quick review of Chapter NINE
THEIR EYES ARE GREEN

CIA agent, Felix Leiter; has cornered his long time adversary, Lecoyte Chelan; and is escorting him back to Aswan.
But the wiley old criminal; is still able to goad Leiter, into losing his temper...

Leiter cut him off “…This isn’t about me. It’s about retribution for all the blood you have on your hands”
Chelan looked at his hands; then showed them to Leiter; palm up

“No blood here; none that you would be able to see”

Leiter kept his feelings under control “There are a lot of bodies out there; and I know where they’re buried”

“You seem overly concerned about all the people that have died. What’s the matter Felix, can’t afford the flowers?”
Both Leiter’s and Chelan’s mobile pinged; the signal was coming through again

Leiter motioned to Chelan phone “Check your accounts; it’s your money that’s frozen”
Chelan took the mobile from his pocket “May I?” Leiter nodded in agreement.
Chelan pressed one of the keys on his phone. Suddenly the Mercedes juddered to a halt.
The doors locked; and a hiss of gas filled the interior.
As Leiter went for his gun; Chelan produced a small mask; once in place it just covered his mouth and nose; the gas seeped into the car; Leiter fell forward.
Chelan took the gun from his out flung hand; and shot the CIA Driver.
Chelan punched another button on his mobile and the door locks released.
He unbuckled his safety belt and stepped out of the car.

Chelan removed the mask “That went well”

Pulling Leiter’s inert body from the car Mr. Manic replied “Like a dream”

Leiter struggled on the ground
“Better kill me now Chelan; cause there isn’t nowhere you’ll be able to hide now”
“Oh I’m not going to kill you” he drew out the words like he was singing them

Felix pressed his hands down onto the road, and tried to get up
“Then we’ll come after you” he said in a whisper.
“But Felix, don’t you realize there is no ‘we’ only you”

“That don’t change a thing I’ll come for you”

“I’d be disappointed if you didn’t”
