Well, we're certainly having a bit of a netiquette problem on this thread this afternoon. I was always told it's not on to over do capital letters online - "SPECTRE" excepted perhaps!
Time for Jim or one of the other Execs. to advise?

It's been more than just this afternoon.
The "ignore" function of the forum software, which has already proven itself to be a wonderful tool, might be the best option.

Before we bin it, and it really is gently sliding itself towards an open grave, for the avoidance of doubt it won't be for the opinion of Mr Craig, which obviously it is free to hold, but the expression of it with such repetition without offering anything new each time. The first is happenstance; the second, coincidence. The third time, it's enemy action. The thirty-ninth time, it's hopelessly boring and tantamount to trolling.

It may not be intentional, but it seems you're being deliberately inflammatory now. Please rein it in, and try to have a fairer appreciation of other users' views.
It's always been intentional. He's been trolling since the beginning. I'm just going to go ahead and put him on "Ignore", a very useful tool on forums such as these.
He already knows my "pick for 'BOND' 7...?". I've mentioned it already in this thread.

The next Bond will be:
Male!
White or maybe not!
British or from the "British Empire!"
Other than that, I have no clue!
All these speculations are fun and insightful, and I am proud to be a member of this site - that celebrates BOND!

tdalton - on a serious note for a change, I wondered if you had seen a quirky little fantasy short called The Continuing and Lamentable Saga of the Suicide Brothers. I mention it because it was written by and stars both of our preferred choices for Bond 7: Tom Mison (mine) and Rupert Friend (yours). It's only about 10 minutes or so long, but I thought it was worth a watch - especially considering the men behind it.

I haven't seen it.
Considering it's a short, is it available to view anywhere online?

Yes, this is the link I accessed it at:Considering it's a short, is it available to view anywhere online?
Fair warning - it's quite weird, but I enjoyed seeing both actors in something different from their usual fare.

Just a couple of comments before I too consider hitting the ignore button;
BOND movies should be BOND movies. I must be missing something here. I was under the impression the last three were and the next one will be. Many millions went to see the last three, billlions were made in box office moolah, and a majority of critics were highly favourable. Yet clearly, we were all wrong.
"Everybody has an opinion". I'm all for opinions provided they are supported by argument. "Craig is not my favourite Bond because...." is one thing. "Craig is not Bond because I don't think he is" is something else.

The member has been promulgating needless arguments without explanation of position, despite requests; back in the freezer for another fortnight, I think.
Can use the time to think up some better justifications for what might be perfectly valid arguments overall.

Attempting to, for a second time, get this thread back on track, here's a mockup of Rupert Friend as Bond. Perhaps it belongs more in the fan art thread, and I'm more than happy to delete it if it's not deemed appropriate for displaying in this thread, but I thought it turned out pretty well:
Rupert Friend as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007

Nice to see things back on track. Some interesting notions and (wow) explained and also cordial accepting the right to agree to disagree without harping (read: beating a dead horse) on one's own views. It's been nine years. Get over it.
Quite refreshing.
I like all the boys for their time and Craig's time is now just as it was in 2005. One should always grow into the role and it's too bad that George and Timothy never got the chance. One by actions and the the other by circumstance. I enjoyed Pierce for his part in it and liked him as Bond.
As to all those mentioned, a few have caught my own radar. Presently though, both Hardy or Lewis could do well as the the 7th 007, but we are talking potentially five or six years on.
Wake me in 2018 after Bond 25 and then set my snooze alarm for 2020 and see who is about before production on Bond 26 starts.
Again though, lots of good notions and theories here. Male, British, handsome, 35-40, athletic, six foot, rugged but polished (you can believe him in fatigues or tux) and a bit of charm (eyes or smile or both).

The problem with the question "who do you want for Bond 7?" is that a number of the names mentioned as answers are mainly ones who might step straight into the role should Daniel Craig step down after Spectre. And unless there's something Craig and the Bond producers are keeping quiet about his future as Bond, that seems unlikely. So, we have to look at the start of the next decade for the next Bond actor, which means either actors we know at the younger end, or someone we haven't even considered yet, or even heard of.
Bryce (003) is right, therefore, to set out some specifications for the next Bond actor. Let's then see who it turns out to be. But we may have a bit of a wait!
